Fire at Jewish school in same area as massive street brawls last week: Links 2 on July 4, 2017

1, BREAKING: 60 firefighters rush to quell blaze as ‘Jewish faith school bursts into flames’

EMERGENCY Services have responded to an incident in Craven Walk, near Clapton Common in Hackney, East London, where a Jewish Faith School has reportedly burst into flames.

Eight fire crews are reported to have attended the scene as onlookers removed Torah scrolls from the building.

It is currently unclear what has caused the blaze, with flames seen licking the windows of the building as onlookers stared on in horror.

 The lawyer for the widow of an American soldier killed in Afghanistan said Tuesday they have filed an application so that any money paid by the Canadian government to a former Guantanamo Bay prisoner convicted of killing him will go toward the widow and another U.S. soldier injured.

Lawyer Don Winder made the comments as a decision by the Canadian government to apologize and give millions of dollars to Omar Khadr came under mounting criticism.

An official familiar with the deal said Tuesday that Khadr will receive 10.5 million Canadian dollars (US$8 million). The official was not authorized to discuss the deal publicly before the announcement and spoke on condition of anonymity. The government and Khadr’s lawyers negotiated the deal last month.

The Canadian-born Khadr was 15 when he was captured by U.S. troops following a firefight at a suspected al-Qaida compound in Afghanistan that resulted in the death of an American special forces medic, U.S. Army Sgt. First Class Christopher Speer and injury of Sgt. Layne Morris, who lost an eye. Khadr, who was suspected of throwing the grenade that killed Speer, was taken to Guantanamo and ultimately charged with war crimes by a military commission.

(The big test of the Trudeau government will be to see if they give the money to Khadr in an unusual way, so that he can avoid any possible attachments by the families of the people he killed.)

  1. France seems well on the way to be coming a failed state even without the terrorist attacks.
    This video seems to show the msm are keeping these incedents under wraps, this is the first time I haveseen or heard about this.

  2. #2: The terror victims earlier won their various cases in the United States and were awarded significant financial judgments, including substantial punitive damages that amount to about US$1.7 billion. – With few Iranian government assets remaining in the United States, the victims turned to Canada, where Tehran maintained property and bank accounts.

    The victims — some of whom were personally injured, kidnapped or tortured and others the families of those killed in terror attacks — sued Iran in the United States for arming, training and bankrolling Hamas and Hezbollah.
    The list of victims stem from separate terror attacks:
    • A suicide bombing of the U.S. Marine Barracks in Beirut, Lebanon, in 1983 by Hezbollah that killed 241 American servicemen;
    • Four separate attacks in Lebanon, including the 1984 bombing of the U.S. Embassy in Beirut, by Hezbollah that killed 14 people;
    • Various kidnappings in Lebanon in the 1980s by Hezbollah, one that ended with the hanging of a U.S. Lieutenant Colonel and others ending in release after brutal and traumatizing captivity;
    • Three bombings in the 1990s by terrorist organizations found to be supported and funded by Iran that took place in Israel, Saudi Arabia and Argentina;
    • And the bombing by Hamas of Hebrew University in Jerusalem in 2002 that killed Marla Bennett, a 24-year-old student from California.
