  1. Settle larger refugee group in East Europe.

According to Keller, the leader of the Greens in the European Parliament, East European states should be forced to take refugees if necessary,

For example, one could settle inhabitants of a whole Syrian village in Latvia, said Keller to the “Neue Osnabrücker Zeitung”. This possibility would be considered if refugees did not want to go to a country where there were no asylum seekers. The Greens politician reacted with her proposal to the continuing refusal of the Visegrad states to participate in the redistribution of refugees in the EU. An EU infringement procedure has already been launched against Poland, the Czech Republic and Hungary. Slovakia had recently taken in some refugees. (google translate)

    • I would like to know how they are planning of forcing them to do anything? The EU is falling apart and everyone over there that has any brains knows that it probably doesn’t have two more years of existance.

  2. BREAKING NEWS: Explosion at Brussels central station as military ‘shoot a suspect wearing an explosive belt’

He was said to be ‘seriously injured’ after being ‘neutralized’ by police
The station and the Grand Place, a tourist hotspot, have been evacuated

There has been an explosion at Brussels central station, where military have shot a suspect who was allegedly wearing an explosive belt.
The suspect was allegedly carrying a backpack and a belt of explosives and was ‘seriously injured’ after being ‘neutralized’ by the military. There are no other casualties.
The Belgian capital’s Grand Place, a major tourist site, was evacuated along with the station about 650 feet away.
Belgian Rail says traffic has been halted at the station with local media reporting that there was a small blast there.
Belgian Police have said an incident with a person in Brussels central station is under control.

Soldiers, firefighters, armoured trucks and police were pictured outside the station after it was evacuated.
Federal police have confirmed the blasts and say soldiers opened fire on man.
One witness said he was ‘lucky to be alive’ after something that sounded like a ‘bomb’ allegedly went off just 30 metres away from him.
Ludoivic Hampton wrote: ‘When you’re walking through central station and something that looked and sounded like a bomb goes off 30 metres away from you.
    ‘I’m lucky to be alive.’
Broadcaster RTL quoted Fires Services spokesman Pierre Meys confirming that some kind of an explosion had happened in the city’s Central station on Tuesday. Meys could not say what had caused the blast.
He could only confirm that firefighters were at the scene.
A police spokesman said: ‘There was an accident at Central Station. There was an explosion around a person. That person was neutralised by the soldiers that were on the scene.
‘At the moment, the police are in numbers at the station and everything is under control.’
Brussels has been on the highest state of alert for more than a year after a series of devastating attacks on its transport system in March 2016.
Three coordinated suicide bombings took place at the city’s airport and at the Maalbeek Metro station, with a total of 32 people killed, and 300 people being injured.
Three terrorists linked to Islamic State died in the bloodbath, and all were linked to those who carried out another devastating attack on Paris in November 2015.

  3. And… Allah’s boys are back again.

“The centre of Brussels was evacuated tonight after a suspected suicide bomber blew himself up in the Belgium capital’s Central Station.

Shots rang out soon after 9pm as police and soldiers moved in ‘to neutralise a suspect who was threatening civilians,’ said an investigating source.

The suspect was said to be wearing a rucksack packed with explosives around Belgium’s busiest railway station.

Tourists were among those who fled in panic, and within a few minutes nearby shops and restaurants were shutting down.

The Grand Place, the city’s most popular tourist spot, was completely evacuated because of fears that the man might not be acting alone.”

    • Yes, they’re back.
“The gang rape took place on the night of January 22 on the outskirts of Hobro, a city located in the north of the Scandinavian country. Apparently, the woman was visiting a tavern at Ambu Square when the two migrants approached her and subsequently lured her outside. They then suddenly pounced on the victim, dragging her to the ground and ripping off her pants. When the woman started screaming, the men grabbed her throat and closed her mouth with their hands, TV Nord reports. The Syrians then took turns in raping her. Prosecutor Peter Rask commented:”

    • And then there’s Feminism.
“A charity worker and her friend tortured a frail pensioner before stabbing him in the neck and trying to suffocate him in a drug-fuelled four-hour attack after breaking into his home.

Amy Squires, 27, and 28-year old Megan Stafford broke into Edward Alcock’s home at 4am following an all-day lager and crack cocaine binge.”

“When arrested Squires told an officer: ‘I stabbed him, I did it, I admit it’. Stafford – who had the victim’s World War One commemorative watch in her possession- claimed: ‘He was an old pervert who tried to snog me.”

  4. Have You No Shame?
A pressing question for anti-Trump Democrats and Republicans both.
    June 20, 2017
    David Horowitz

Throughout the six months of Trump’s embattled presidency one can only be struck by the failure of anti-Trumpers, both left and right, to acknowledge that a judgment of theirs may have been too hasty, not to say embarrassingly wrong. Yet to those not gripped by anti-Trump passions it seems obvious that there have been many such instances where second thoughts were in order.

For example, anti-Trumpers across the spectrum claimed during the campaign and even after his inauguration that he was an “isolationist,” that he would abandon NATO and turn his back on half a century of American commitments to Europe’s defense. But six months into his presidency, Trump has done the opposite. He has affirmed Article 5 of the NATO charter, and has actually strengthened the alliance by shaming its members into meeting the monetary obligations they had shirked for decades. Further, he has inspired an extension of the alliance mandate to oppose terrorism rather than just attacks by sovereign states. These indisputable achievements refute the canard that Trump is incompetent, over his head, and therefore a danger to national security. They should warrant both an apology for the error, and praise for his achievement. But no such reappraisal has been forthcoming.

An equally damning slander has been the accusation that he is “anti-Muslim,” a bigotry that makes him unfit for the office and also threatens American security. According to his detractors, Trump’s anti-Muslim attitudes reveal him to be a dangerous ignoramus and “incompetent fool,” oblivious of the fact that to win the war against ISIS America needs to build a coalition of Muslim countries in the Middle East, not alienate them. Again, this is seen as confirmation of the view that Trump is unfit for the office he holds, and a candidate for early impeachment

  5. Anger Privilege
Only leftists are allowed to be angry.
    June 20, 2017
    Daniel Greenfield
    57

If you want to know who has privilege in a society and who doesn’t, follow the anger.

There are people in this country who can safely express their anger. And those who can’t. If you’re angry that Trump won, your anger is socially acceptable. If you were angry that Obama won, it wasn’t.

James Hodgkinson’s rage was socially acceptable. It continued to be socially acceptable until he crossed the line into murder. And he’s not alone. There’s Micah Xavier Johnson, the Black Lives Matter cop-killer in Dallas, and Gavin Long, the Black Lives Matter cop-killer in Baton Rouge. If you’re black and angry about the police, your anger is celebrated. If you’re white and angry about the Terror travel ban, the Paris Climate treaty, ObamaCare repeal or any leftist cause, you’re on the side of the angry angels.

But if you’re white and angry that your job is going to China or that you just missed being killed in a Muslim suicide bombing, your anger is unacceptable.

If you’re an angry leftist, your party leader, Tom Perez will scream and curse into a microphone, and your aspiring presidential candidate, Kirsten Gillibrand, will curse along, to channel the anger of the base. But if you’re an angry conservative, then Trump channeling your anger is “dangerous” because you aren’t allowed to be angry.

  6. The Handel-Ossoff Election is a Test to See if the Bay Area Can Buy a Georgia Election
    June 20, 2017
    Daniel Greenfield
    7

President Trump’s victory was a direct rebuke to the wealthy and powerful liberal enclaves that insist they ought to be running America. And that in many ways do.

The “Resistance” and its associated media coup is the proposition that they are powerful enough to overturn the results of a presidential election that they lost. And in this case, a test to see whether the Bay Area can buy a Georgia election.

Ossoff’s backing comes from a handful of Bay Area counties. He doesn’t even live in the district he’s running to take over. But the arrogance of the Bay Area is in the conviction that with enough money and media, it can control the outcome anywhere.

The left often likes to talk about how democracy gets hijacked. Even as it insists on hijacking it.

    http://www.frontpagemag.com/point/267052/handel-ossoff-election-test-see-if-bay-area-can-daniel-greenfield

Richard: I don’t know when he wrote this but the election is today and the last I heard it was neck and neck with the Republicans expressing confidence that they would win, among other reasons for this confidence is the fact that people don’t like outsiders trying to buy their elections and put people that don’t live in the district in office to represent the district.

This election is a major test to see if democracy is going to continue to work in the US.

  8. Syrian Warplane Bombing: A Turning Point In The Conflict?
The US sends Assad and Russia a message.
    June 20, 2017
    Joseph Klein
    9

In what may turn out to be a major inflection point in the Syrian conflict, an American fighter jet on Sunday shot down a Syrian warplane, which was said to be dropping bombs near U.S.-supported Kurdish and Arab ground forces fighting ISIS in the vicinity of ISIS’s de facto capital of Raqqa. It was the first time during the six year Syrian conflict that a U.S. jet had shot down a Syrian jet. In fact, it has been approximately 18 years since the U.S. had shot down a warplane belonging to any country since a Serbian plane was shot down over Kosovo in 1999.

The U.S. Central Command leading the anti-ISIS coalition effort said the Syrian jet was “immediately shot down… in accordance with rules of engagement and in collective self-defense of Coalition partnered forces.” The statement added that the coalition’s mission was to defeat ISIS in Iraq and Syria and was not to fight the Syrian regime or its allies. However, it added that the coalition would not hesitate to defend itself or its partner forces “from any threat,” and that “[T]he demonstrated hostile intent and actions of pro-regime forces toward Coalition and partner forces in Syria conducting legitimate counter-ISIS operations will not be tolerated.”

According to a spokesman for the U.S. Central Command, the U.S. had first warned the Syrian plane away from the area, but to no avail. An F/A-18 “Super Hornet” thereupon shot down the Syrian plane.

Syria claimed its plane was targeting ISIS militants at the time, a dubious claim in light of the Assad regime’s long record of bombing civilians and all rebel groups indiscriminately in the name of combating “terrorism.”

    • Is Russia bluffing? Maybe but the real answer to that is what are China and NORK going to do in the near future, if both do something that forces us to us military force to take out the Kim Dynasty we are going to have to let South Korea take most of the North and that will require the US and other allies to provide air support and navel protection to the units close to the shores. With our current level of military assets this will leave Russia and China a semi clear field in the MIddle East and China a fairly clear field in Africa. I would like to think that our NATO allies could step in to take over while we are tied up in Korea but I don’t think they have enough military assets to stop Russia from doing what it wants.

To this mix you have to add the rapidly approaching civil wars in Europe and North America.

      • Geostrategy is useful, but we’re on the ground right now, eyeball-to-eyeball. Of course there will be deliberate distractions, but this is too big to relegate to peripheral vision.

Time to focus on post-ISIS disposition of territory. Will Iran achieve a contiguous line of control via proxies from her borders to the Med?

I thank G-d we have a President on our side. Not so sure of Mattis or McMasters, though. Not their loyalty, but their competency and strategic vision.

Russia doesn’t want in, but these critters might not understand that. They’re followers of deep-state intel. They were Obama’s choices, after all, “partnering” with Iran’s genocidal Shitte militias. Remember 0’s intention for Iran to “share” the sphere of interest with our allies?

        Grim.

        • Point taken, this means that Russia will insist on keep their port and the rest is up for grabs as long as they have a friendly puppet ruller for the land around the port. The other players we need to worry about are the Kurds, Turkey and Iran with the other religious and ethnic minorities in Syria begging for any scraps of terrority they can beg from the bigger boys. The Christians will probably huddle around the Russian port since Assad protected them and stands a good chance of being the Russian Puppet. We are going to be going against both Turkey and Iran to create a Kurdistan out of part of Syria and may have to keep some military personal in Kurdistan as a tripwire like those we still have in Korea. However we still need to play the geostrategic game since China, Iran, NORK and Russia will be playing it.

We need to decide what division of land is our bottom line but (given the current climate in DC) hope that it doesn’t get leaked. What we decide and let our people know shouldn’t be the true bottom line, it should be well above what we are really willing to settle at.

          • It IS Putin’s port. That’s a done deal. That also provides shelter for minority Christian populations. The biggest selling point to the Russian home-front.

The Kurds and Turks aren’t this far south. Right now the line is edging toward the border with Jordan where we have a base. Check J.E. Dyer’s maps, they’re pretty good.

We won’t be making any bottom-line decisions.
            Nor will Syria.
We – to the extent the U.S. supports the Gulf Sunnis – plus Israel, defending herself and Jordan – are facing Iran and her proxies.

Iran uses ISIS against us one day and slaughters them the next. Just as she supports Hamas and al-Qaeda. Persian treachery, Persian pincer.

Jordanian ISIS are streaming back; it’s a fluid situation with terrible risks. The ISIS snuff video [where I linked below] showed OUR BOYS teaching coalition fighters up close.

I watched closely, picked up place names. They had Americans – tall, blonde, USA – in the crosshairs, then murdered the very individuals we’d just been training! That’s how close we are.

            • Sorry, it was the last video of the sequence, and they’re all gone anyway.
I hate them, but whenever they’re in moderately intelligible Arabic, I force myself to pay attention. Some dialects are easier to follow than others.

            • Yes it is Putin’s port we all know that. Yes we through Saudi and the Kurds are fighting Iran, that is why we have to decide where we are going to draw the borders of Kurdistan, they we know where we are going to say the Sunni’s have to stop when they move north fighting the Iranians. The Sunnis are gioong to want more then the Kurds will accept and the Kurds are going to want more then the Sunnis will accept. That is where our bottom line decision will have to be made. Since this war is going to last a long time the bottom line will chance from time to time but we have to have a bottom line.

              • We won’t have much to say, in the practical sense of what we can/want to enforce. Russia, either. Syria and Iran are icky “partners” for Russia – sup with Devil, looong spooon! [Israeli-Russia leaks.]

And that’s a good thing. They’ll be fighting it out forever. That’s cool, as long as they stay in their sandbox.

We can’t lock ’em in – not without expending too much effort – but we MUST keep them OUT.

  9. LIVNI AND DANGERS OF PEACE THEATER
Is Netanyahu building bridges with left-wing Israeli leadership?

The homes of the terrorists who murdered Border Police officer Hadas Malka on Friday evening are now bedecked with Fatah flags and banners reading, “Our heroes.”

Far from condemning the terrorist attack, Palestinian Authority chairman and Fatah leader Mahmoud Abbas and his comrades are condemning Israel. Its security forces, they allege obscenely, committed a “war crime” when they killed the three terrorists to stop their rampage.

The only reason that these actions are not enough to warrant the US and the rest of the West – not to mention the Israeli Left – treating Fatah/PLO as the terrorist group they are and have always been, is because doing so would require them to stop playacting at peace making.

    And they couldn’t have that.

Instead, they mimic or recycle “peace process” lingo about “windows of opportunity,” and reincarnate failed peace processors.

  10. Giving Terrorists a Heads-Up
A proposed law would force the NYPD to publicize the details of its surveillance technology.
    June 20, 2017
    Heather Mac Donald
    21

A bill in New York’s city council would require the New York Police Department to reveal crucial details about every surveillance technology that the department uses to detect terrorism and crime. Ninety days before the NYPD intends to implement a new surveillance technology, it would have to post on the Internet a technical description of how the new tool works, and how the department plans to use it. The public would have 45 days to comment on the proposed technology; the police commissioner would then have 45 days to respond to the public comments before he could actually start using the new capacity. Existing technologies would also have to be retroactively submitted to public review.

Perhaps aware that this moment may not be ideal for promoting what would be, in effect, a terrorists’ manual on how to evade discovery in New York City, the bill’s supporters have hilariously taken to casting it as a pro-illegal alien, anti-Trump gesture. New York is a “sanctuary city, now in open resistance to the Trump administration,” two members of the Brennan Center for Justice wrote in an op-ed advocating for the so-called Public Oversight of Surveillance Technology (POST) Act. (The Brennan Center wrote the POST Act for council members; the center has pushed similar bills across the country, including in Seattle and Oakland, two cities that have been particularly vulnerable to “anti-fascist” violence.) The city council press release claims that the bill “strengthens New York City’s commitment as a sanctuary city . . . as the Trump administration seeks to increase surveillance across America.”

  11. Japan investigates delay in reporting US Navy ship collision

TOKYO (AP) — Japan’s coast guard is investigating why it took nearly an hour for a deadly collision between a U.S. Navy destroyer and a container ship to be reported.

A coast guard official said Monday they are trying to find out what the crew of the Philippine-flagged ACX Crystal was doing before reporting the collision off Japan’s coast to authorities 50 minutes later.

The ACX Crystal collided with the USS Fitzgerald off Japan’s coast, killing seven of the destroyer’s crew of nearly 300. The ships collided early Saturday morning, when the Navy said most of the 300 sailors on board would have been sleeping. Authorities have declined to speculate on a cause while the crash remains under investigation.

A track of the much-larger container ship’s route by MarineTraffic, a vessel-tracking service, shows it made a sudden turn as if trying to avoid something at about 1:30 a.m., before continuing eastward. It then made a U-turn and returned around 2:30 a.m. to the area near the collision.

  12. UK: He called my son ‘inbred’ – neighbour of Finsbury Park attacker

Khadijah Sherazzi, a neighbour of Darren Osborne, the person currently being held over the Finsbury Park attack, said the 47-year-old had called her son an “inbred” during an interview in Cardiff, Tuesday.

“Towards my oldest son he said ‘inbred’ and he [her son] didn’t tell me at the time until yesterday” she explained. “Who knows what his mind-set would have been, maybe to do something to him as well”.

Sherazzi expressed dismay at Osborne committing such an act: “I’m just still shocked that he has that much hatred for Muslims, or anyone in fact. You know, it’s bad either way if Muslims do it or white men did it; it’s really bad. But yeah, it’s really shocking.”

In the early hours of Monday morning, Osborne drove his van off the road and into worshippers outside the Muslim Welfare House on Seven Sisters Road, just after Ramadan evening prayers. The father of four was heard saying “I want to kill Muslims”. He was then detained by members of the public until the police arrived. One person was killed and 11 more injured.

  14. U.S. Trying to Criminalize Free Speech – Again

    by Judith Bergman
    June 20, 2017 at 5:00 am

    https://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/10544/criminalize-free-speech

On April 4, 2017, the US Senate passed Senate Resolution 118, “Condemning hate crime and any other form of racism, religious or ethnic bias, discrimination, incitement to violence, or animus targeting a minority in the United States”. The resolution was drafted by a Muslim organization, EmgageUSA (formerly EmergeUSA) and the Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC). On April 6, 2017, EmgageUSA wrote the following on their Facebook page:

“Thanks to the hard work of Senator Marco Rubio, Senator Dianne Feinstein, Senator Susan Collins and Senator Kamala Harris we have achieved the approval of Senate Resolution 118, an anti-hate crimes bill drafted by Emerge-USA. It is days like this that Americans are reminded of this country’s founding principles: equal opportunity, freedom, justice. We are proud to help support the protection of these rights #amoreperfectunion

    #theamericandream”.

    Senate Resolution 118 calls on

“…Federal law enforcement officials, working with State and local officials… to expeditiously investigate all credible reports of hate crimes and incidents and threats against minorities in the United States and to hold the perpetrators of those crimes, incidents, or threats accountable and bring the perpetrators to justice; encourages the Department of Justice and other Federal agencies to work to improve the reporting of hate crimes; and… encourages the development of an interagency task force led by the Attorney General to collaborate on the development of effective strategies and efforts to detect and deter hate crime in order to protect minority communities…”

The resolution refers to hate crimes against Muslims, Jews, African-Americans, Hindus, and Sikhs and was sponsored by Senator Kamala Harris and co-sponsored by Senator Marco Rubio, Senator Dianne Feinstein, and Senator Susan Collins.

    • Since Whites, Conservatives and Christians are mentions they are probably not protected under this purposed resolution, I don’t like resolutions and laws that are aimed at protecting specific groups instead of everyone.

  15. Bangladesh Turning More Radical

    by Mohshin Habib
    June 20, 2017 at 4:00 am

    https://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/10528/bangladesh-radicalization

The government of Bangladesh, led by historically known secular political party Awami League, has completely surrendered to the country’s radical forces regarding the demands, made by Hefazat-e-Islam and some other Islamic political and religious organizations, including the removal of the sculpture that was designed with the theme of the Greek goddess of justice. The statue was installed in last December following a decision taken by the Chief Justice. On May 26, at night, Bangladeshi authorities, in the name of the “consent of the chief justice”, removed the sculpture from the front side of the Supreme Court. The current chief justice, incidentally, is the ever first non-Muslim to hold the constitutional post.

In reaction, the next day, after Friday prayers, Islamists, led by Hefazat-e-Islam, arranged a rally and expressed joy and satisfaction over removal of the sculpture and demanded further removal of all existing idols/statues/sculptures — whatever one might call them — across the country. “Bangladesh is a Muslim country, no culture of statue establishment would be allowed by the people here… all of them must be removed,” said Nur Hossain Quashemi, the president of Dhaka branch of Hefazat-e-Islam, to the media.

A Muslim diplomat from the country of Bangladesh is being charged with keeping a slave in his New York City home, according to reports.

Shahedul Islam, deputy consul general for the consulate of Bangladesh, was arrested last week by the NYPD Vice Squad at his home in Jamaica Estates, in the New York City borough of Queens. He was later charged in a 33-count indictment.

His victim is an unnamed 43-year-old Bangladeshi man, whom he brought over to the United States in 2012 or 2013. According to Queens District Attorney Richard Brown, Islam “required the man to work 18 hours a day in the family’s home.”

“Even though the victim had a contract which outlined his compensation, it is alleged he was never paid for his work,” added Brown. “If the victim disobeyed the defendant’s orders, the victim was allegedly physically assaulted by the defendant, who either struck him with his hand or sometimes with a wooden shoe.”

  17. Police: Road rage led to bat attack, Muslim teen’s death at the hands of illegal alien

FAIRFAX, Va. (AP) — A man charged with murder in the death of a Muslim Virginia teen who was attacked near her mosque became “enraged” by a traffic argument with one of the girl’s friends and hit her with a baseball bat before abducting her, police said Monday.

Though the slaying of Nabra Hassanen — whose body was found in a pond — raised concerns that she was targeted because she was Muslim, Fairfax County police spokeswoman Julie Parker said at a news conference that police have no reason to believe that the killing was a hate crime.

“Nothing indicates that this was motivated by race or by religion. It appears the suspect became so enraged over this traffic argument that it escalated into deadly violence,” Parker said.

Hassanen, 17, was with a group of as many as 15 teens who had left their Sterling-area mosque between Ramadan prayers to get food at a McDonald’s, Parker said.

They were making their way back to the All Dulles Area Muslim Society between 3 and 4 a.m. Sunday, some walking and some riding bikes, when the suspect drove up to the group and began to argue with a male teen, Parker said.

  19. RINO McCain is Setting Up His Own Secretive Soros Foundation
True Daily Staff June 20, 2017 News No Comments

Arizona Republican Sen. John McCain in 2012 turned over nearly $9 million in unspent funds from his failed 2008 presidential campaign to a new foundation bearing his name, the McCain Institute for International Leadership.

    […]

Critics worry that the institute’s donors and McCain’s personal leadership in the organization’s exclusive “Sedona Forum” bear an uncanny resemblance to the glitzy Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) that annually co-mingled special interests and powerful political players in alleged pay-to-play schemes.

The institute has accepted contributions of as much as $100,000 from billionaire liberal activist-funder George Soros and from Teneo, a for-profit company co-founded by Doug Band, former President Bill Clinton’s “bag man.” Teneo has long helped enrich Clinton through lucrative speaking and business deals.

  21. DAILY MAIL – ‘Hijabs and long beards are a middle finger to the West’: Muslim-raised psychiatrist claims head scarves and facial hair are Islam’s symbol of opposition to mainstream society

Bangladeshi-born psychiatrist Tanveer Ahmed says Muslim teens resent West
Muslim-raised specialist says hijabs and beards are a ‘middle finger’ to society
He spoke of how children from Muslim families are taught to blame the West

A Muslim-raised psychiatrist says hijabs and long beards are often an Islamic ‘middle finger’ to Western society.

Tanveer Ahmed, who has a practice in Sydney’s west, says disaffected youths from Muslim migrant families are turning to an extremist version of Islam to find a sense of identity.

‘Where they tend to find a sense of identity is in Islam but a particular brand of it, one which they show through outer markers like hijabs or beards,’ he said in a Rebel Media video.

The Bangladeshi-born specialist, who moved to Australia when he was six, cited a term coined by Canadian author Tarek Fatah, who campaigns for a secular form of Islam which recognises gay rights.

‘Underneath that exterior though sometimes it can be a sense of opposition to mainstream society, what Canadian author Tarek Fatah calls a middle finger to the West,’ Dr Ahmed said.

The 42-year-old father of two daughters said that growing up in a culturally Muslim family, he had seen how children raised in that faith are often taught to be suspicious of Western society.

‘We are taught to blame the West for a lot of our problems,’ he said.

‘When we grow up we’re told to avoid mainstream society because it’s seen as morally corrupt.’

He added youths who turned to Islamist extremism or anti-Western views were also disconnected with their traditional cultural and continued to blame the West for problems in their ancestral nations ‘be it colonialism or foreign policy’.

‘This can breed a degree of resentment and identity disturbance for many Muslim kids,’ Dr Ahmed said.

‘It pains me to say it because I’m talking about my relatives and friends here.
‘Muslims wrap their identity so closely around Islam so it’s not easy for them to challenge the ideas within it.’

While the ‘vast majority of Muslims are not the problem’, the psychiatrist who has counselled teenagers with Islamist views said Australia needed to take in fewer refugees who would have trouble getting skilled work.

‘It’s difficult to see then at least one of the solutions to our problem of terrorism is to have less Islam in our societies,’ he said.

  22. A California man was viciously stabbed by the members of a Middle Eastern gang—simply for being a Trump supporter.

27-year-old Tony Foreman had attended a free speech rally in California with friends, followed by an evening at a local bar.

Upon leaving the bar—still wearing his pro-Trump clothing—Foreman saw another vehicle ram through the automated parking gate and smash into his car in the bar’s parking lot.

The driver of the other car was an Armenian gang member, in a car with other gang members. The driver was initially looking to exchange insurance information for the accident, they quickly noticed Foreman’s conservative bumper stickers—including a Gadsden flag, an American flag, and other pro-republics messages.

Upon seeing the stickers, the driver walked back to his car—and his fellow gang members exited the car, wielding knives. As one of the gang members shouted, “I’m going to shank you, white boy,” Foreman was stabbed a total of nine times.

The police, when asked for comment, said that the attack didn’t appear to be pre-meditated but it was “racially-charged.”

  26. Refugee day: Mattarella says no to hostility, indifference (ansamed, Jun 20, 2017)
    http://www.ansamed.info/ansamed/en/news/sections/politics/2017/06/20/refugee-day-mattarella-says-no-to-hostility-indifference_f5449f48-16ba-447f-8319-f88289575c14.html

“President Sergio Mattarella on Tuesday, World Refugee Day, said ”the day we are celebrating today leads us to stress the coherence with the values of the Republican Constitution of initiatives taken on the issue by Italy, far from the approaches of indifference or hostility towards victims of tragedies of humanity evolving at the borders of Europe”.

In his message, the president noted that World Refugee Day ”offers us the occasion to reflect on the drama” of those forced ”to flee war and situations of major crisis. Our attention and thoughts must go first and foremost to the many who reach our coasts every day. The flows of refugees are a daily reality, not occasional events anymore” nor ”exceptions due to temporary crises”.

”It is therefore necessary for our approach to be able to overcome the emergency to elaborate, as we are already doing, increasingly effective structural and long-term responses”.

Mattarella called for ”strategic choices” that are ”far-sighted and well-calculated , aimed at preventing conflicts, stabilizing the regions of the planet that are most at risk, fighting the dramatic consequences of climate change- The choices concern the entire international community”.

This requires strong engagement and constant work, knowing that extemporary actions will not eliminate ”the root of causes leading so many people to flee”.

The head of State also said that the flow of refugees are a global phenomenon ”that manifests its effects well beyond the countries that are directly involved. It is thus indispensable that, in a logic of shared responsibility, all members of the international community are able to demonstrate their work in favor of such a relevant part of humanity in a spirit of collaboration and serenity. It is not only a matter of sharing the cost of welcoming but of taking responsibility in managing migration flows at a global level”.

”In this context – noted Mattarella – Italy is aware of its role and what was done, thanks to the work of many of our citizens – sometimes in condition of extreme difficulty and at the cost of personal sacrifice – to save human lives and welcome refugees, those who have a right to protection based on international laws”.”

“The anti-government armed militants are planning to carry out a suicide attack on the parliament building with the support of some lawmakers.

The issue was shared by certain lawmakers in the Lower House of the Parliament, Wolesi Jirga, during the general session of the parliament on Monday.

An MP Nilofar Ibrahimi said they have been informed regarding the possible attack by the security sources.

She said the intelligence reports shared with the parliament indicates that two lawmakers are attempting to assist in bring the suicide bombers to the parliament building.

According to MP Ibrahimi, the two lawmakers either belonging to the Lower House or Upper House of the Parliament.

The Speaker of the Lower House of Parliament Abdul Rauf Ibrahimi also said he has been informed regarding the plan allegedly involving lawmakers.

He said the issue has been shared with the security institutions to take steps in a bid to foil the attack plan.

This comes as capital Kabul witnessed growing instability, mainly due to insurgency led by the militants and several attacks were carried out late last month and earlier this month, leaving hundreds of people dead or wounded.”

    http://www.khaama.com/kabul-protesters-claim-nearly-30-killed-wounded-in-latest-violence-02988

“The protesters in Kabul claim that nearly thirty people were killed or wounded during the latest violence between the protesters and security forces.

The members of the movement ‘Resurrection for Change’ involved in the sit-ins against the government, claimed that two of the protesters were killed and 27 others were wounded during the latest clash.

They also claimed that eleven protesters were taken away by the security forces in an attempt to remove the tent from the downtown Kabul and at least one of the protesters was run over by the vehicle.

This comes as the Chief Executive Abdullah Abdullah earlier confirmed the death of at least one protester during the violence with the security forces.

He promised that the last night’s incident will be thoroughly investigated by the government as he urged the security forces to practice restraint while dealing with such incidents.

The tents in Kabul were set up after the protests in Kabul turned violent earlier this month and several people were killed or wounded during the clashes.

The protests turned violent as the rally participants were attempting to get close to the presidential palace as they were demanding the resigning of the government leaders and security officials in the aftermath of the deadly bombings in Kabul city.”

  30. Qatari camels paying ultimate price for Saudi border blockade (alaraby, Jun 20, 2017)
    https://www.alaraby.co.uk/english/society/2017/6/20/qatari-camels-dying-of-thirst-at-blockaded-saudi-border

“Thousands of Qatari camels being deported from Saudi Arabia are trapped at the border as the Gulf diplomatic crisis hits the region’s most famous livestock.

The dromedaries, icons of the desert, are farmed for their milk, meat, fur and hide – not to mention their strength and usefulness as a working animal on farms.

But Qatari officials are having to step in to build emergency shelters on their side of the border as the humped ungulates get caught up in the geopolitical row between Riyadh and Doha, with several camels dying of thirst in the scorching conditions at the frontier.

After cutting all diplomatic relations with Qatar and closing its only land border earlier this month, Saudi Arabia gave Qatari citizens and residents 14 days to leave the country and move back to Qatar.

This has forced many Qatari farm owners, who keep their cattle in Saudi Arabia during winter months for grazing and breeding, to try to shift the animals back across the border.

But with highly restricted border opening hours, only a few hundred can cross each day, and animals stranded at the closed border are dying of thirst or untreated injuries.

The emergency shelter, on the Qatari side of the border, is equipped with water tanks and life-saving food for the camels and sheep that have made it across so far.

At least 25,000 camels and sheep are understood to have broken the blockade, returning safely into Qatar – but thousands more are expected at the border in the coming days.

Doha’s Ministry of Municipality and Environment has also set up a team of drivers, animal experts and other staff to help camel owners.

Videos and photos posted on social media showing huge caravans of camels crossing the desert border have sparked outrage…”

    https://www.middleeastmonitor.com/20170620-hrw-calls-on-egypt-to-respect-morsis-rights/

“Human Rights Watch (HRW) has called on the Egyptian authorities to respect the rights of the former president, Mohamed Morsi, who has been held in a prison following his ouster in July 2013.

According to a statement by the rights organisation, the Egyptian authorities have “unlawfully” prevented Morsi, the first democratically-elected president in Egypt, from contacting or receiving visits from his family and lawyers throughout the years he spent in prison since the military has “forcibly” removed him from power in July 2013. Early June 2017, Morsi was allowed to receive visits from his family and lawyer for only the second time in nearly four years.

The statement pointed out that the “tough” imprisonment conditions have undermined Morsi’s right “to mount a legal challenge against his detention and to appeal many of prosecutions that have been filed against him.” It may have also contributed to a decline in his health, the HRW statement stressed.

Morsi was reported to have fainted twice and has experienced a diabetic coma, according to his family.

HRW’s deputy director for Middle East and North Africa, Joe Stork, said that the “Egyptian authorities appear to have seriously violated former President Morsi’s due process rights and may be interfering in his proper medical treatment.”

“Morsy’s treatment is a window into the appalling conditions suffered by thousands of political detainees in Egypt,” Stork added…”

  32. 3 asylum-seekers in Germany accused of violently raping woman ‘3 times each’ (RT, Jun 20, 2017)
    https://www.rt.com/news/393238-germany-asylum-seekers-rape/

“A 28-year-old woman in Muhlhausen, Germany has identified three Ethiopian men who she claims repeatedly raped and beat her during a local carnival. The victim revealed some of the horrifying details in court.

The three suspected attackers, between 23 and 29 years old, were identified by the victim in regional court in the federal state of Thuringia earlier this week.

“Each of them raped me three times,” the woman said during her hours-long statement before the court, German media reported.

The victim claimed she had been lured into a secluded area near the railway station during local carnival celebrations last August. She attempted to flee, but the three suspects allegedly caught her, took her mobile phone, and forced her to engage in unprotected vaginal, anal, and oral sex.

The woman told the court she had also been beaten, kicked, and pulled by the hair by the suspected attackers, with one of them filming some of the violence with her smartphone.

The hearing became so emotional, it had to be interrupted, with the next date set for mid-July, according to media reports…”

  33. German Police Accused of Covering up Child Rape in Asylum Home (breitbart, Jun 20, 2017)
    http://www.breitbart.com/london/2017/06/20/german-police-accused-covering-child-rape-asylum-home/

“Police and the local government in Herford, Germany, have been accused of covering up the rape of a child at an asylum home for almost two weeks.

The alleged rape occurred two weeks ago at the former British Harewood Barracks which was recently converted into an asylum shelter. The man accused of the rape, a Ghanian of unknown age, is said to have sexually abused a 10-year-old girl originally from a former Soviet republic, local newspaper Westfalen-Blatt reports.

The 10-year-old is said to have been raped so brutally she had to be taken to a nearby hospital.

Senior prosecutor Udo Vennewald said: “He is a man from Ghana. We’ve got a warrant, and the man is sitting behind bars.”

The man has since been charged with the sexual abuse of a minor. Though his asylum claim is independent of the case, he is unlikely to receive a positive decision as only 3.4 per cent of Ghanaians are accepted for asylum.

Fearing revenge attacks once the news of the rape became widely known, police recommended many of the Africans in the asylum centre should move to a different facility. The local government rejected the proposal.

Johannes-Wilhelm Rörig, the independent commissioner for Issues of Child Sexual Abuse for the German Federal Government, has warned since 2015 of the vulnerability of children in asylum homes. No accurate figures exist for the number of children abused.

The total number of sex abuse cases in North Rhine-Westphalia in which asylum seekers were the victims totalled 119 cases in 2016, though no record of the age of the victims is kept.

There have been several cases in which asylum seekers have abused underage children in asylum homes, not only in Germany but also in other countries like Sweden. In one particular case, a group of Afghan migrants brutally assaulted a boy both sexually and physically and filmed the entire ordeal in the Swedish city of Uppsala.

In other cases, migrants have sexually assaulted minors outside of asylum homes, most notably in swimming pools and outdoor festivals. Earlier this month, several Syrian asylum seekers were arrested in Löbau after filming underage girls at an outdoor swimming pool and sexually molesting them. The men involved were aged 19 to 30 years old.

Underage migrants in asylum homes face physical harm from adult migrants, as well. A case in Arnschwang this month saw a 41-year-old Afghan migrant stab a five-year-old child to death before being shot by police.”

    http://www.breitbart.com/london/2017/06/20/last-police-station-close-migrant-suburb/

“The last remaining station in the troubled Järva area will most likely have to close, police sources have said, due to lack of staff.

The police station in Kista is the only one still open in the Järva area, in which lie the suburbs of Rinkeby, Tensta, and Husby — migrant-dominated neighbourhoods classed by Sweden’s National Police Operations Department (NOA) as “vulnerable”.

According to police sources, the move to close the station has already begun, and there are no plans for it to be reopened. Officers who work at Kista station will be moved to police headquarters in Solna.

Leading terror researcher Magnus Ranstorp called the decision to close Kista’s police station a “disaster”, tweeting, “They should open four more instead!”

Approached for comment, Stockholm area regional police chief Ulf Johansson said he was not “fully up to date” with details regarding the station’s closure, but told SVT “the premises in Kista left a lot to be desired when it comes to the work environment”….”

“As negotiations between Britain and the EU over Brexit get underway, a senior German politician has declared that a “European Army” is inevitable.

Hans-Peter Bartels, the parliamentary commissioner for the Armed Forces, insisted: “In the end, there will be a European Army.”

Bartel alleged the age-old system of national armies accountable to national governments was “disorganised, technically fragmented and duplicate structures unnecessarily”….”
