2. Jordan Dismisses 15 Mosque Preachers in Wake of IS Attack

Jordan’s Religious Affairs Ministry says it has dismissed 15 mosque preachers and is disciplining seven for refusing to pray for the souls of Jordanian troops killed in recent gun battles with Islamic militants.

Eleven members of the security forces were killed Dec. 18 and 20 in the Jordanian province of Karak. A Canadian tourist and two Jordanian civilians were also killed, along with five gunmen. The Islamic State group claimed responsibility for the initial attack.

The ministry statement, published in Jordanian media Tuesday, did not say why the preachers refused to comply with a nationwide call to hold memorial prayers following the attacks.

Some mosque preachers in Jordan are followers of an ultraconservative stream of Islam that also serves as the ideological foundation of IS.

The three migrants were jailed for five to six months for supplying false information to Austrian authorities after lying about their age.

The three men cheated the state out of more than €100,000, benefitting from health insurance, support, basic care, pocket money and German language courses.

The case against the three was brought after a court ordered medical reports which revealed that the men were older than stated on documents supplied during their asylum application

Radical leftists are planning to make January 20th the most chaotic Inauguration Day in American history.  Their stated goal is to “disrupt” the Inauguration festivities as much as possible, and they are planning a wide range of “actions” to achieve that stated goal.  Some of the more moderate groups are using terms such as “civil resistance” and “civil disobedience”, but others are openly talking about “blockades”, jumping barricades, throwing projectiles and “citywide paralysis”.  My hope is that all of their efforts will turn out to be a big flop, but it is important to understand that these groups are well funded, highly organized and extremely motivated.  The election of Donald Trump has been perhaps the single most galvanizing moment for the radical left in modern American history, and they are working very hard to turn January 20th into a major political statement.

7. CENTER VICTORIOUS IN ‘CLOCKBOY’ LAWSUIT AIMED AT SUPPRESSING FREE SPEECH, DEFEATING SHARIA-SUPREMACISM

(Washington, DC): The Center for Security Policy commended today the judiciary of Texas for upholding that state’s commitment to freedom of speech by dismissing a frivolous lawsuit aimed at punishing the Center for Security Policy and its Executive Vice President, Jim Hanson for exercising that constitutional right.

The suit alleging defamation was brought last year by Mohammed Mohammed, the father of Ahmed, widely known as the “Clock Boy,” after the latter brought a clock device resembling a bomb to his school in 2016.  It sought damages from the Center and its EVP in response to public statements made by Mr. Hanson, a former Green Beret, noting the resemblance of the younger Mohammed’s self-declared “invention” to a bomb.  The plaintiffs also took exception to Mr. Hanson’s opinions regarding the potential motivations of the Mohammed family and Islamist groups like the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) that actively promoted the Clock Boy’s claims that he was a victim of discrimination and Islamophobia.
Fortunately, a Texas statute prohibits Strategic Lawsuits Against Public Participation (SLAPP), thereby protecting free speech and citizens’ right to speak their minds without having to defend themselves in court.
Upon learning that, as recommended by the Center’s counsel, the American Freedom Law Center, District Court Judge Maricela Moore had dismissed the suit, Jim Hanson observed:
This ruling reaffirms our most fundamental liberty – the right to free expression – and punishes Mr. Mohammed and his allies for attempting to suppress ideas they oppose.  The Center for Security Policy will continue to stand firm against all attempts by individuals and groups like CAIR that seek through lawfare and other means to prohibit any criticism of totalitarian Islamist doctrine and to brand as Islamophobes those who point out their efforts. Shutting down free speech is anti-constitutional and un-American.
The Center for Security Policy recently released a book establishing the ties between the Council on American Islamic Relations and one of the world’s most notorious terrorist groups: CAIR is Hamas: How the Federal Government Proved the Council on American Islamic Relations is a Front for Terrorism.  The monograph may be downloaded for free at www.SecureFreedom.org.

  1. 4 – Obama has been fomenting a rebellion for 8 years now is the time they have chosen.

    5 – I think the man got to the Priest, you could see that the way less then 100,000 people were taking the money that could feed many millions in Africa made sense to him.

    1 – I wish I could be given a dollar for every time I have told someone that if Obama and all of his people aren’t arrested and tried for their crimes the next time a liberal Democrat is elected President it will be the last election we have because we have set the precedent that liberal Democrats are above the law.

  3. Glenn Beck dismissed from ‘clock boy’ defamation suit

    Glenn Beck, his television network and a conservative think tank have been dismissed from a defamation lawsuit filed by the father of Ahmed [“Clock Boy”] Mohamed, the Irving teen who became famous when he was arrested after bringing a homemade clock to school.

    Irving Mayor Beth Van Duyne remains a defendant, but she has challenged the suit.

    District Judge Maricela Moore on Monday tossed the claims against Beck and his network TheBlaze, plus those against the Washington, D.C.-based Center for Security Policy and executive vice president Jim Hanson.

    Another judge also dismissed the local FOX News affiliate and political commentator Ben Ferguson from the suit in December. He ordered that the Mohameds pay them more than $82,000 in legal fees, records show.

    The Mohameds told the court they seek up to $100,000 in damages, along with “non-monetary relief.” The family moved to Qatar a month after the incident.

    Mohamed [El Hassan] Mohamed [Please note the “Mohamed Coefficient” of 200%] filed the defamation complaint in September, a year after police escorted his son out of MacArthur High School and accused him of making a hoax bomb. Mohamed argued that comments made by the mayor and media personalities led the public to think that members of his family were terrorists who plotted the episode.

    Lost in all of this “fake news” noise is the fact that, at no time, did young Ahmed Mohamed [Mohamed factor of 100%] ever produce or invent anything even slightly resembling a “homemade clock”. The disassembled Radio Shack brand, Micronta model digital clock, (Catalog number 63 765) was merely gutted and reconfigured to fit within a Vaultz (VZO1479) model latching case (of which I am proud to own one of).

    Put plainly, hip-waders are wholly inadequate to protect the few brave souls who might elect to splash their way through this quagmire of highly liquefied, taurine fecal matter.

    All sane minds can only hope that this crucial and totally (on the media’s part) overlooked fact about appearances and lack of actual inventiveness might have played a pivotal role in the court’s decision.

    I read other accounts this evening that the plaintiff’s attorney, Susan Hutchinson, was asked how “Clock boy” was actually defamed. It was reported that for a “painful” 15 minutes, the attorney ruffled through papers and was unable to come up with a response, ending in the suit dismissal. The only thing worse than a greedy ambulance chaser is an unprepared greedy ambulance chaser.

    When your own lawyer is unable to promptly respond to a courtroom challenge, “weak case” doesn’t even begin to describe your problems.

    To my mind, the fact that, “The family moved to Qatar a month after the incident“, tells the entire story. Need we include how:

    The boy’s Sudanese immigrant father, Mohamed Elhassan Mohamed, a failed presidential candidate for that country, also appears in the 30 second video, “Come Meet Ahmed Mohamed – ‘The Clockmaker’.” It promotes Ahmed’s appearance at CAIR’s 21st Champions for Justice banquet held tonight at Arlington, Virginia’s Marriott Crystal Gateway.

    Awad, a known Hamas supporter, also rejects Israel’s right to exist. Even in the face of the Islamic State’s rampaging terror and slaughter, Awad called the Jewish state the biggest threat to world peace and security.
