  3. What Obama Said to Putin on the Red Phone About the Election Hack

Determined to stop Russia’s interference in the presidential campaign, at least one of President Obama’s senior advisers urged him to make the ultimate threat to Russian President Vladimir Putin, U.S. officials told NBC News:

Mess with the vote and we will consider it an act of war.

But Obama opted not to issue a warning that specific when he spoke to Putin about the hacking during a September meeting at the G-20 summit in China, said intelligence officials offering NBC News exclusive new details.

The president didn’t want to inflame an already tense situation, the officials said. Instead, he used less specific language to warn Putin of consequences if Russian interference didn’t stop.

The release of hacked Democratic emails continued.

Richard: I realize that this is coming from the propaganda news/fake news source so we don’t know if it is real or just trying to make Obama look like a man. Either way this statement.article is a scary one,Threatening Putin on the phone or in a propaganda story is dangerous.

    • It’s nonsense. Maybe that’s the version given to the PR lackeys at NBC, maybe that’s what 0 wished he could’ve said. Anybody who looks at the body language of the two of them would laugh outright.

      • Look, threatening anyone is dangerous, but one can threaten someone else on the phone, no problem. It is part of the game. But if you are not prepared to do what you threaten and the other party knows that, then you already lost .
And THAT is the problem with Obama.

      • In the long run it doesn’t matter if the threat was made on the Red Phone or by a Press Secretary in a news conference. In fact it would probably be better if the threat was made on the phone where no one not in the conversation knew about it. By making it in the Press Conference it forces Putin to react, and probably in a way that will hurt US Russian relations in the future.

I agree Obama probably didn’t make a threat like that in person except in speeches that no one believed. The threats were still made and as I said Putin has to react, either laughing and saying that Obama is a liar (he is a liar) or by making some move to hurt the US overseas. A war of words would be the best for both Russia and the US but Putin knows what his end game is going to be and he may decide that a Cold or even a Semi Hot war with the US is better for Russia in the long term.

  4. Political Revolution Is Brewing in Europe

Yesterday, the Islamic State claimed the Berlin terror attack of Monday evening, in which twelve people were killed with a truck at a Christmas market.

The killer managed to escape. However, in the truck the police found identity papers belonging to Anis A., a Tunisian who came to Germany as an asylum seeker in 2015.

When last year German Chancellor Angela Merkel opened Germany’s borders to almost one million refugees and asylum seekers, she invited the Trojan horse of Islam into her country. Among the so-called refugees were many young men of Islamic background, filled with hatred for the West and its civilization. One of them was Anis A.

It took almost a year for the German authorities to reject his asylum request, but meanwhile the man had disappeared. The police are now looking for him as a prime suspect of Monday’s attack in Berlin.

The German authorities are dangerously underestimating the threat of Islam. They signs are there for all to see. In October, an Afghan asylum seeker raped and murdered a 19-year old German girl in Freiburg. And a 12-year old Iraqi boy was caught before he could explode a nail bomb at a Christmas market in Ludwigshafen.

  5. Germany Expects ‘Further Significant Attacks’, Warn Police Chiefs

Germany can expect “further significant attacks” after a Berlin Christmas market was hit on Monday and a “dangerous criminal” could still be on the run, top police bosses have warned.

Berlin police chief Klaus Kandt instructed his countrymen on Tuesday to be “particularly vigilant” as the suspected terrorist behind the attack could be armed and on the run, and the head of the federal criminal police office, Holger Münch, said Germany remained on “high alert”.

Islamic State has also claimed the attack – the worst terrorist atrocity on German soil since 1980 – describing the driver of the truck as “a soldier of” of their jihadi terror group.

This morning, police revealed they are now hunting a 24-year-old Tunisian immigrant named as Anis A., after a 23-year-old Pakistani ‘refugee’ was released last night.

  6. 2016: A Turning Point for Europe?
Western nations may have finally had enough of the slaughter.

For Western Europe, 2016 began with an apocalyptic frenzy, a nightmarish vision of its possible future – namely, an avalanche of brutal sexual assaults, over a thousand of them, committed on New Year’s Eve by savage Muslim gangs in the streets and squares of Cologne and several other major German cities.

The horrific events of New Year’s Eve didn’t happen out of the blue, of course. For over a generation, thanks to irresponsible immigration policies that had never been submitted for approval to any electorate, as well as to straightforward demographic realities, Western Europe had been steadily Islamized. At first in a few large cities and eventually even in small, remote towns, the presence of Islam became more and more visible. Over time, government officials who had made these developments possible, and who had cut back their own citizens’ welfare-state entitlements in order to feed, clothe, and house newly arrived Muslims, were rewarded not with the gratitude and assimilation they had expected but with the exact opposite. Steadily, Muslim communities developed into crime-ridden, sharia-governed enclaves, increasingly explicit in their hostility to infidels, increasingly aggressive in their rejection of the values of their host cultures, and increasingly insistent on their legal independence from secular authorities. Forced marriage, female genital mutilation, and honor killing became European problems. Hijab proliferated, then (in some places at least) niqab. And authorities reacted to all of it with a feckless passivity.

  7. Flashback: Bill Clinton Gave China Missile Technology
Democrats intermittently talk tough about our enemies — but only after aiding and comforting them.

With all this talk of Russians allegedly interfering in U.S. elections, it is worth recalling that it wasn’t too long ago that the previous Democrat in the White House betrayed America by working hand in hand with our Communist enemies in mainland China.

As president, Bill Clinton essentially wiped out any strategic advantage the U.S. had by selling advanced U.S. missile technology to our enemy, the People’s Republic of China.

That “administration’s voluntary release of all the secrets of America’s nuclear tests, combined with the systematic theft of the secrets that were left as a result of its lax security controls, effectively wiped out America’s technological edge,” David Horowitz writes in the recently published, The Black Book of the American Left Volume 7: The Left in Power: Clinton to Obama.

Unlike the administrations that preceded it, the Clinton administration accepted millions of dollars from the military and intelligence services of at least one hostile foreign power. All of this was done in exchange for illegal campaign contributions from a massive totalitarian country determined to eclipse the U.S. as a world superpower.

  8. Venezuela’s Bumbling Socialist Government Battles Social Upheaval
Maduro government turns to stealing currency from its impoverished citizens.

‘Tis the season to be jolly, and for Venezuela’s bumbling socialist government this means fighting hyperinflation by essentially stealing currency from its impoverished population and, at the same time, handing out free Christmas toys – toys stolen from retailers in the oil-rich yet impoverished South American nation.

The toy giveaway was targeted at the usual enemies of Venezuela’s socialist project: greedy merchants who were supposedly “hoarding” toys to jack up their prices. The Robin Hood-style initiative, however, was not enough to tamp down a social uprising and widespread looting over the weekend triggered by President Nicholas Maduro’s bumbling efforts to cope with hyperinflation. Last week, President Maduro issued a royal edict: Venezuelans had 72-hours to turn in the country’s largest banknote, the 100 Bolivar bill — now worth only 2 U.S. cents. Long lines formed at banks where Venezuelans had expected to exchange the notes for new bills with larger denominations. But as it turned out, larger banknotes were unavailable — so when the 72-hour deadline expired to turn in the bills, Venezuelans suddenly found themselves holding totally worthless currency: banks couldn’t exchange it and retailers wouldn’t accept it. It was a theft on par with Cuba’s confiscation of businesses in the name of socialist social justice.

  10. Death of a Diplomat and World War III
What are the global implications after the assassination of Russia’s man in Ankara on December 19? Meira Svirsky reports

Scare mongers predicting World War III after a Turkish policeman assassinated the Russian ambassador to Ankara can relax. It won’t be happening.

Turkey and Russia have already both declared the killing – done in protest of Russia’s support of Syria’s brutal dictator Assad — a “terrorist attack,” and Putin announced the unfortunate incident would not “undermine the improvement and normalization of Russian-Turkish relations,” which occurred last summer after Erdogan apologized for Turkey’s downing of a Russian jet on its way back from a bombing mission in Syria.

As a Tweet by Turkish columnist Mustafa Akyol succinctly stated, “No, this is not Sarajevo 1914,” a reference to the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand, nephew of Emperor Franz Josef and heir to the Austro-Hungarian Empire, who was shot to death in Sarajevo, Bosnia — an event said to have sparked World War I. “For Ankara and Moscow will not wage war. Quite the contrary, they may even get closer.”

Yet, while publicly Putin and Erdogan appear on the same page over the incident, it will not pass without consequences and concessions to Russia from Turkey.

  11. Berlin Christmas Attack – Part of a Larger Plan
The attack in Berlin last night was a point in a trajectory of incitement by Islamist extremists against anything and anyone not Muslim.

The attack in Berlin last night, where a truck driven by a suspected Islamist terrorist plowed into a crowded Christmas market killing 12 and injuring at least 48, was a point in a trajectory of incitement by Islamist extremists against anything and anyone not Muslim.

Consider the following recent incidents across the world of late:

In Indonesia, considered to be a “moderate” Islamic country, a fatwa was just issued by the Indonesian Ulema Council prohibiting Muslims from wearing or using Christmas-themed clothing or decorations, saying, “Religious images and accessories are used intentionally to show the identity of a certain religion, and represent its tradition and rituals…[it is] a foreign culture with which we must not mingle.”

News reports explained the fatwa was primarily directed toward employees in shopping malls who often wear Santa hats, appealing to the nine percent of Indonesia’s population (21.2 million people) who are Christian.

  12. Are Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Kuwait Funding German Salafism?

    by George Igler

Salafism — from salaf, “ancestors” or “predecessors” in Arabic — urges the emulation of the first three generations of the Islamic prophet Mohammad’s companions, and Mohammad himself. It is often deemed the most fundamentalist interpretation of Islam.

Security agencies in Germany claim that 9,200 such Islamic extremists currently call the country home. Another intelligence briefing cited by Süddeutsche Zeitung, warns that “the ideology already has 10,000 followers” and growing, in the country.

“Almost all of the German nationals who have travelled to Syria to fight for Islamic State became radicalized by Salafis, who target low-income Muslim youths in German cities,” wrote the Los Angeles Times, adding that it is proving increasingly challenging for German intelligence officials, “to differentiate between those who identify intellectually with Salafism and those who espouse using violence to realize a radical version of Islam.”

  13. Greece and Iran: The Dark Side of the Relationship

    by Maria Polizoidou

    https://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/9607/greece-iran-relationship

As Sunnis and Shiites are fighting for regional hegemony in the Middle East — Syria, Yemen — Greece, as geographical gate for Europe and the Balkans, is a trophy country for the Iranian regime. In recent years, the Iranians have been exploiting the corrupt establishment’s thirst for money. Through drug dealing and oil smuggling, Iran seems to be trying to buy political influence and access to the Greek media. Well-informed diplomatic sources say that the Iranian Embassy in Athens is extremely active in Greece’s political and economic life behind the scenes.

Until now, the Greek political and economic regime, after the junta in 1974, had always been extremely friendly to Sunni political Islam. During the Iran-Iraq war, the Greek regime sided with Iraq. Andreas Papandreou, former Prime Minister of Greece, was a close friend and supporter of the PLO and its chairman, Yasser Arafat. Greek businessmen and media owners always had close economic relationships with the Gulf States’ petrodollar business, and lobbying by Greek ship-owners, who carry Arab oil to international markets, always favored Sunni Arabs.

The influence of Sunni Islam in Greece is also large in the political and economic systems — many times stronger than in other countries of the European Union, with the Greek media always on the side of the Palestinians, Hezbollah and in recent years, many did not hide their sympathy for Hamas.

Dimitris Kabis, a professor at the University of Piraeus and recently a ship-owner — as president of Empire Shipping Limited — seems to be the protagonist in a network of oil-smuggling, arms-dealing and lobbying in Greece for the Iranian regime.
