US releases Haitians coming from Mexico
SAN DIEGO (AP) — A surge in border crossings and a lack of immigration jail space have prompted the federal government to start releasing Haitian immigrants who have been entering the country in large numbers in recent months, backtracking on a pledge to jail the migrants.
A U.S. government official told The Associated Press that the decision to free Haitians arriving in Arizona and California is in response to a lack of jail space. The official said releasing immigrants with orders to report later to immigration court is a tactic used when detention space is scarce, under certain humanitarian conditions or as part of efforts to keep families together.
Before the Haitians are released, they are subjected to a criminal background and national security check. The official was not authorized to discuss the matter publicly and insisted on speaking on condition of anonymity.

Latest surge of families and children coming to U.S. has forced immigration officials to release some Haitians from detention centers.
There has been a sharp rise in the number of Central American families and unaccompanied minors entering the country illegally along the border with Mexico in the Yuma area of southwestern Arizona.
That area had been one of the quietest areas for crossings along the entire southern border.
But the recent spike suggests smuggling organizations have changed their routes to evade stepped-up immigration enforcement in Mexico, sending Central American migrants through other areas of the border beyond south Texas.
The Rio Grande Valley of south Texas remains the main entry point for a wave of Central American families and unaccompanied minors.

Family Living near Border Requesting More Patrols
WESLACO – A family living along the border is growing fearful for their safety as the rise in people crossing the border illegally continues.
The Ochoa family lives in a neighborhood a few blocks from the Rio Grande. They want their home to be safe. They see people crossing their land every day and are fed up.
Juan Ochoa said it’s no longer one or two immigrants coming through his backyard.
“They caught another four, five of them behind there and I was here at that time,” he recalled.
Ochoa said his dogs are the first to notice the illegal crossings. “Day and night, you can hear the dogs barking,” he said.
His family usually leaves the back door unlocked when they’re home. However, that changed last Friday when they heard a noise coming from the back of the home.
“One of them came in through the back door,” Ochoa said.
A person who crossed the border illegally entered their home asking to hide from Border Patrol.
“They can come and do harm to us. So we’re pretty, pretty afraid of these people crossing constantly,” he said.
Ochoa’s fiancé said she’s afraid for her family. She asked for her identity to be hidden.

Suspicious tracking device found on MTA bus in Staten Island
Police are trying to determine who placed a mysterious tracking device on an MTA bus at a depot in Staten Island.
Two maintenance workers at the Yukon Bus Depot on Yukon Ave. in New Springville found the tracker attached to an oil pan at about 11 a.m.. Wednesday.
MTA officials called police, and NYPD Emergency Service Unit cops swarmed the depot, searching each bus and the terminal itself looking for additional devices, sources said.
Cops said the device was not explosive and was “not known to the MTA.”

Yesterday, I reported with some pride that LU had made a list of “fake” news sources compiled by an instructor at an obscure college in Massachusetts. Ordinarily, the musings of an assistant professor at a school ranked 57th in the category Regional Universities North would fail to receive the attention of even the Eagle Tribune (circulation: 35,397), the local newspaper in North Andover. But these are desperate times, and many in the so-called “elite media” have adopted the author of this flawed and heavily biased report their poster child. Any port in the storm, one supposes.
Among the “news” outlets that have picked up on this story is one with no room to talk. That would be CNN, which during the election earned the nickname Clinton Network News. A piece at CNN Money snipes at “sites designed to trick people, including Truthfeed and Gateway Pundit” and laments that “fake news has been a major issue during the election.”
No one would know that better than Cable Network News. As revealed by WikiLeaks just before the election, the network colluded with the DNC on which questions to ask Ted Cruz during the primary debate he moderated in April. CNN’s purpose was to attempt to secure the GOP nomination for Donald Trump, the one candidate the Left was sure Hillary Clinton could beat in the general election.

German prosecutors on Friday charged two Syrian men with membership in a terrorist organization on allegations they fought with a militant Islamist group in Syria.
Prosecutors said 24-year-old Kamel T.H.J. and 22-year-old Azad R. allegedly fought with the ultra-conservative Ahrar al-Sham against other rebel groups and Syrian government troops in the Aleppo area from at least August 2013 until April 2014, when the younger man was injured.
The two then traveled to Turkey together and then in 2015 onto Germany for the injured fighter to receive medical care.

Its goal is to overthrow the government of President Bashar al-Assad and install an Islamic state in Syria. Unlike other jihadist factions, the group’s goals are limited to Syria and its fighters are predominately Syrians.
Ahrar al-Sham fights against the self-declared “Islamic State” (IS) but cooperates with some other rebel factions including Jabhat Fatah al-Sham (Fatah al-Sham), formerly known as the al-Qaeda linked Jabhat al-Nusra.
However, it is not listed as a terrorist organization by the United States, European Union or the United Nations. Russia and Syria have demanded it be labeled a terrorist organization, but the West views the group as critical to a political solution although the US, EU and UN have called for the group to distance itself from al-Qaeda.

China lashed out at President-elect Donald Trump for suggesting that climate change is a hoax that originated with them.
Liu Zhenmin, China’s vice foreign minister, told reporters on Wednesday that it was impossible for China to have invented the concept of climate change.

George David Banks highlights the double standard China enjoys in the Paris agreement: “Unlike the United States, China is not required to make actual cuts in its greenhouse gases emissions or regulate its manufacturing sector to meet its Paris pledge. In 2014, China accounted for 30 percent of global emissions, dwarfing America’s share of 15 percent.”
It’s true that China has pledged to implement a cap-and-trade program and their coal use has declined, but Banks notes that China’s “manufacturing emissions for the same three-year period increased across the board in the production of aluminum, steel and cement” and their cap-and-trade system would probably involve “subsidizing key export sectors, thereby providing an even greater trade advantage.”
In other words, China may not have put forth the concept of global warming, but they benefit from the U.S. implementing climate change policy.

CNN – Lynch addresses increased hate crimes
The ACLU is once again trying to damage the US and prevent us from defending themselves.
The idea of no profiling has allowed many criminals to roam free. It gained a bad name (wrongly) when the ACLU sued because a higher percentage of blacks were being stopped in New Jersey for speeding. It turned out that the New Jersey State Police had discovered that blacks driving flashy cars over the speed limit were often transporting drugs to the gangs in NYC for sale. They started having drug sniffing dogs in the cars stopping speeders and when one “hit” on a car called in for a two and a search warrent. When a Federal Judge ordered the program stopped successful interception of drugs drops and the supply of drugs in NYC rose sharply. The LSM quickly decided that using past experience to investigate crimes was evil.
Their glory days are coming to an end.
Let us hope it is, one of the things that needs to be done is reverse the law that says that the government will pay the ACLU’s legal bills win, lose or draw. This is why they sue so much, if they have to pay for their own legal expenses they won’t sue near as much.

United States Attorney General, Loretta Lynch, released a video statement from Washington, D.C. on Friday in which she condemned the “deeply sobering” 67 percent rise in hate crimes against Muslim Americans detailed in the recently released FBI 2015 hate crime statistics.
Lynch said the report also showed an increase in hate crimes against “Jewish people, African Americans and LGBT individuals.” She added that the true number may be far higher as many crimes “go unreported out of shame or fear” and urged Americans to report incidents.
The only hate crimes that I see in the news are those committed against conservatives.

The last time we encountered David Brock, Hillary Clinton’s so called media “attack dog”, was two months ago when we exposed a money laundering scheme involving over a dozen of his Pro-Clinton SuperPACs. Now, it appears that unable to concede defeat, the man who aligned his career with Hillary Clinton, is going for blood, and is soliciting the help, but mostly money, of Clinton’s top donors.
According to Politico, Brock is launching his own Koch-brothers-like donor network to finance attacks on President-elect Donald Trump and to rebuild the political left after Trump’s stunning victory over Clinton last week. In an email sent out on Thursday night, Brock emailed more than 200 of the biggest donors on the left, including finance titans George Soros, Tom Steyer and Donald Sussman all of whom invested millions of dollars in Clinton’s campaign with nothing to show for it, inviting them to a private retreat in Palm Beach during inauguration weekend to assess what Democrats did wrong in 2016, figure out how to correct it and raise cash for those initiatives.

At the University of Michigan on Rosh Hashanah, Jewish students heading to services encountered a mock “apartheid wall” plastered with anti-Israel propaganda and a protestor garbed as an IDF soldier harassing passing students. On the wall was written “CTRL + ALT + DELETE,” the combination of commands needed to restart a PC, implying that Israel should be destroyed and the land should be regenerated as Palestine. At Portland State University, the student senate overwhelmingly passed a resolution supporting a genocidal and Hamas-inspired Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) resolution against Israeli companies. The resolution stated that “the Israeli occupation of Palestinian land has been entrenched since 1948.” At CSU Long Beach, a flier for a Jewish Studies course on Israel’s history and culture was defaced with the message “not a valid course. Israel is occupied territory.” The words “modern State of Israel” were also crossed out and overwritten with “occupation of Palestine.”
The common thread in all these incidents is the Hamas-funded, anti-Israel hate group Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) which held its annual conference November 4-6 at George Mason University, a public campus in Fairfax, Virginia. In spite of the barrage of evidence—including recent congressional testimony—that SJP is a campus front for Hamas and an instigator of Jew hatred, George Mason opened its doors to the group, providing resources and facilities to the terrorist-supporting campus organization.

After a competitive race between the FBI and sexism, the left decided to blame “white people” for Hillary’s defeat.
Racist white people refused to vote for a white woman who was married to the country’s first black president. Samantha Bee, who enjoyed 15 seconds of fame replacing John Oliver, Stephen Colbert and Jon Stewart as the whiny obnoxious lefty id, declared that white people ruined America.
“Spare me the euphemisms. White people made Trump president,” a Washington Post headline blared. “White people did this. And maybe (hopefully) not my friends — but certainly their cousins, their uncles, and their friends,” a racist Vox writer shrieked.
“White people elected Donald Trump,” Vice bleated. “White people put Trump in office,” Fusion whined.
Majorities of white people did indeed vote for Donald Trump. Oddly enough the left’s culture war of hating white people has only made them more likely to vote for anyone other than the left.

Many have called school choice – the movement to liberate African American youngsters from the failed schools that don’t teach them – the “civil rights movement of the 21st Century. Donald Trump is one of those who do, but it was Steve Bannon, the CEO of Trump’s presidential campaign, who put it on Trump’s radar and made it a centerpiece of Trumps “New Deal for Black America.”
I happen to know this because I was responsible for drawing Bannon’s attention to it in the first place. I bring this up now, not to draw attention to anything I have done, but to defend a man who has been viciously and baselessly portrayed as a “white nationalist” and “racist,” who has put himself on the line for black America in a way that few others have.
The attempt by desperate, hysterical and malicious voices on the left to isolate, stigmatize and silence Steve Bannon as a “white nationalist,” is despicable, not least because that is the very last thing he is.
“School choice” is a term to describe the provision of scholarships to poor children who are trapped in inner city public schools where year in and year out nearly half of them fail to graduate and the half who do are functionally illiterate and unable to function in a modern economy. These scholarships or “vouchers” would allow poor children to take the tuition that taxpayers already provide, and use it in a school, private or religious, that would actually teach them.

The first major effort in that direction occurred this week in Washington’s luxurious Mandarin Oriental Hotel, where a group of super-wealthy leftist funders known as the Democracy Alliance sponsored a three-day, closed-door meeting attended by the multi-billionaire George Soros, the leaders of many left-wing activist groups and labor unions, and Congressional luminaries like Nancy Pelosi, Elizabeth Warren, and Keith Ellison. Over the past decade, the Democracy Alliance has given at least $500 million to pro-Democrat and leftist causes. High on the list of priorities at its Washington conference was a discussion of how to derail Trump’s “100-day plan,” which the Alliance characterizes as “a terrifying assault on President Obama’s achievements — and our progressive vision for an equitable and just nation.”
In a recent email to his allies and donors, Democracy Alliance president Gara LaMarche offered a clear indication of where the Democrats plan to direct their attention and resources over the next few years. Specifically, he said that this week’s conference would focus on assessing “what steps we will take together to … take back power, beginning in the states in 2017 and 2018.” Raj Goyle, a Democratic activist who is also involved with the Democracy Alliance, concurred that “progressive donors and organizations need to immediately correct the lack of investment in state and local strategies.”
We are going to hear more from these people in the near future, part of the spending will be to block the Donald from doing anything to restore freedom to the US citizens.

The former U.S. Department of Justice assistant attorney who was instrumental in blocking Jeff Sessions from a 1996 federal judgeship was apparently indicted on bribery charges several years after his testimony. The testimony from the 1980s is once again relevant amid reports that Trump plans to install Senator Sessions (R-Alabama) as Attorney General of the United States. Sessions has drawn intense scrutiny because his 1996 federal judgeship nomination was rejected after reports emerged that he made racially charged remarks. One of the key figures testifying against Sessions at the time was Mobile, Alabama’s first black federal prosecutor Thomas H. Figures.
Figures, an Assistant United States Attorney from 1978 to 1985, testified during a 1996 hearing that Sessions called him “boy” on a number of occasions, and also joked about the Ku Klu Klan. However, what has not been reported recently is another interesting twist to the story.
In 1992, Figures, who had become a defense attorney, was indicted on federal charges for allegedly offering a $50,000 bribe to a convicted drug dealer who was set to testify against his client, according to a 1992 New York Times report. Figures maintained that the charges were retaliation for him testifying against — and effectively blocking — the nomination of Sessions.

1&1/2 years ago, I attended an Ontario court session in Toronto waiting for a particular case to come up (Eric Brazeau – but that is irrelevant to the point I’m making).
While waiting for the case to come up, numerous other cases were heard – and I witnessed them, with my own eyes and ears. The vast majority of these cases involved immigrant status claimants who had broken the criminal code.
The reason they sought this court hearing was one of two possible reasons: either, to shorten the sentence to be under 2 years (as 2 year jail sentence would render them uneligible for refugee/immigrant status) or to post-pone their criminal charges hearing until AFTER their refugee/immigration hearing.
Because if their criminal record were to be known, that would be PREJUDICIAL in their refugee/immigration hearing.
The day I observed the court, there were many, many minutes-long hearings like this. Every single one of them was granted…..because don’t want reality to influence the residency hearing!!!

TIMMINS – A man accused of sexually assaulting one 15-year-old girl, and sexually interfering with another, walked out of a Timmins courtroom a free man on Thursday after he was given an exceptionally lenient plea bargain meant to preserve his chances of becoming a Canadian citizen.
Niket Bhavsar, a foreign national from India who is in Canada on a work visa, was initially charged with sexual assault, sexual interference, and supplying alcohol to a minor. All of these charges were withdrawn on Thursday as part of a deal where Bhavsar was allowed to plead guilty to one count of common assault.
The plea bargain – which the parents of Bhavsar’s victims consented to – gave Bhavsar a conditional discharge, which means he will have no criminal record because of the conviction. The court accepted the deal, including the sentence, despite the fact that both the Crown and the presiding judge believed there had been a reasonable prospect of conviction on the charge of sexual assault.

“PARIS (AFP) – A French anti-terrorism court on Friday charged a 29-year-old man in connection with a thwarted bid to attack a church near Paris in 2015, the prosecutor’s office said.
The man, charged with association with a terrorist organisation, is suspected of having given the Algerian man who planned to assault a church south of Paris the material he needed for the attack.
The man’s DNA has been found on a bullet-proof vest that was kept in the home of the would-be attacker, whose name is Sid Ahmed Ghlam.
After he was charged, the man was released on bail pending further investigation.
Three other men, who were also arrested earlier this week in connection to the case, have also been released.
French authorities are currently investigating four more men in connection with the planned Villejuif district church attack. They too are accused of providing Ghlam with weapons and equipment to be used in the planned assault.

Prince Turki bin Faisal Al Saud said the US President-elect should unite with America’s traditional allies in the Middle East – including Saudi Arabia – to counter the threat of Syrian president Bashar al-Assad, during a discussion at the Middle East Institute in Washington DC.
“If President-elect Donald Trump makes a deal with Russia and Iran over Syria, it’ll be the most disastrous step possible,” Prince Al Saud told a crowd at the conference, according to Kuwait News Agency.
“Since the Iran nuclear deal, we’ve seen a massive influx of Iranian soldiers to Syria, inflicting death.
“Mr Trump should pack his bags and get together with America’s friends in the Middle East before his inauguration, and he must help stop the biggest terrorist of all, President Assad.”
President Assad believes Mr Trump will be a “natural ally“ to “fight the terrorists” in Syria, after the President-elect effectively signalled he would end support for Syrian rebels.
The former Saudi ambassador to the US also called on Mr Trump to recognise the Iran nuclear deal, formalised in 2015, and not to reverse the legislation.
“I would rather see that this nuclear deal becomes a first step in ridding the Middle East of nuclear weapons. We want Saudi Arabia to have peace,” he said.

“More than 4,400 Turkish citizens have applied for asylum in Germany this year, the government said Friday, with numbers up since a foiled coup attempt against President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
Berlin-Ankara relations have been badly strained by concerns over the Erdogan government’s stance on civil rights, especially its sweeping crackdown since the July coup attempt against opposition lawmakers, journalists and other critical voices.
On Friday, Germany’s Office for Migration and Refugees said that this year it had received 4,437 political asylum requests by the end of October, compared to 1,767 during all of last year from the EU-candidate country.
Numbers had steadily ticked up from 275 in July to 485 in October, it said, cautioning however that the rise could not be tied directly to the coup attempt, given the long time lags for asylum applications.
The German conservative lawmaker in charge of interior affairs, Stephan Mayer, nonetheless said “we must presume that the number of Turks who will request political asylum in Germany will rise further”.
He was critical of the foreign ministry for openly stating recently that Germany was open to granting refuge to Turkish citizens who need it.
Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier had said last week Berlin wants to “help persecuted scientists, cultural workers, journalists, who can no longer work in Turkey come to Germany to work.”
But Mayer, a member of the conservative Bavarian CSU party, told the Funke media group: “We don’t solve Turkey’s problems by inviting all citizens who are critical of the regime to request asylum here.”
“That’s not a favour we should do for President Erdogan. Because that’s exactly what he wants – to get rid of the opposition.”
Developments in Turkey have a strong resonance in Germany, home to a three-million-strong ethnic Turkish population, the legacy of a massive “guest worker” programme in the 1960s and 70s.

“Malmö is moving police officers from Sweden’s southern border controls to the streets – in an effort to crack down on a recent wave of fatal incidents in Sweden’s third largest city.
Sweden introduced police controls on its borders in November last year as a result of the refugee crisis, which saw the country take in more than 160,000 asylum seekers in one year.
Police officers stationed at the border checks are now being moved to public areas in Malmö for the next two weeks, following an autumn spate of murders and murder attempts.
“We’re going to stop the killing and act on the criminality which gives rise to these conflicts that lead to serious crimes,” Malmö police spokesperson Lars Förstell told the TT news agency.
Police work in Malmö is usually focused on trouble spots Rosengård and Seved, but the new operation will see officers having a daily presence across the entire city, reports Sydsvenskan.
It has not been confirmed how many will be involved in the operation – which gets under way at 3pm on Friday and is also designed to crack down on drug trade in the city – but officers have been moved from the border controls.
“The border controls will be slightly patchier some hours of the day,” southern regional police spokesperson Ewa-Gun Westford told TT.
Around 400,000 people a week are estimated to pass through the border checkpoints, which are in place on the Öresund bridge and ports in Malmö, Trelleborg, Helsingborg and Gothenburg, with between 40-95 percent of crossing subject to a check.
