In my humble opinion Snowden is an exceptional man. I do not think that he is a plant. He’s too well thought out. I believe he expects to one day return to the US and to one day lead this country. I don’t believe that an actor can be as sincere. Time tells, and Snowden clearly tells us by his very measured answers that he’s got something up his sleeve other than a life in oblivion.
Condamnation without investigation is the highest degree of ignorance.

E. Snowden has been prosecuted , found guilty by our politicians stupid, greedy and immoral. I can only have hope that Mr Trump will bring back Ed Snowden back to our home.

Personally I have mixed feelings. People I respect very much feel that he went beyond exposing illegal activities by the NSA and violation of 4th amendment rights, and went right to treason when, and if, he released actual state secrets to foreign actors. My friends tell me had he released proof of NSA breaches of American’s rights and then submitted himself for arrest using his oath of office as his defense, he would be a hero.
I wish I knew more about what he actually did.
They are whistleblowers who have been prosecuted for reporting fraud, misconduct, ect. I have hard time to believe in anything now except God’s amazing gift …
