2. Sheffield doctor under investigation for ‘Islamophobic’ comments about Muslim colleagues

A senior Sheffield doctor is under investigation for allegedly making ‘Islamophobic’ comments about Muslim colleagues.

A formal complaint has been made against Dr Vladislav Rogozov, a consultant cardiac anaesthetist for Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, following comments attributed to him on a Czech website.

Dr Rogozov is said to have claimed that ‘Muslim doctors regularly abandon their patients to go to pray’ and that a Muslim anaesthetist ‘was reading out from the Koran during an operation and was trying to persuade all the other staff to read along with him’.

A translated version of his interview quotes the doctor adding: “It must be noted that in our teaching hospital, this problem is much less pronounced than in many smaller hospitals. There it is even worse.”

4. New Delhi on high alert for possible attack

The national capital was on high alert and security was beefed up at vital installations, important buildings and crowded places after Delhi Police received inputs about a potential terror strike in the city by 10 suspected LeT and JeM militants who are learnt to have entered India through Gujarat, The Indian Express reports.

Intelligence provided by Pakistan’s National Security Advisor of a possible 26/11-style fidayeen assault on religious sites and processions in Gujarat during Maha Shivratri celebrations on Monday and Tuesday led authorities to order a massive mobilisation of state police personnel and National Security Guard (NSG) units, a top government official familiar with the matter has told The Indian Express.

The unprecedented intelligence warning did not contain specific details on the jihadist group involved, or information that could lead police to perpetrators, the source said. However, he said “there was enough credible sourcing for the matter to be taken very seriously”.

(I dunno what the book is on this but I would wager that ‘militants’ means islamic terrorists if the game wasn’t rigged)

8. Austria: Right-wing MPs hand out free pepper spray in Vienna

(Not sure how giving women the right and ability to protect themselves from rape became “right wing” exactly but if it is, then that is where we all should be)

Two MPs from the right-wing Team Stronach party distributed free pepper spray in front of parliament in Vienna, Monday.
Robert Lugar and Martina Schenk gave out around 200 pepper sprays in a matter of minutes as women, most of whom were middle-aged, queued up to get their hands on one.
Lugar critisied the Austrian police and government, claiming that people are feeling less and less safe . He went on to blame this on refugees, saying that, “we need to send back all immigrants from Austria, and there are 300,000 of them here”, adding that there is a need for more controls.
SOT, Robert Lugar, Member of Austrian Parliament (German): “The safety feeling in Austria is getting much and much worse. We must to do something. The police fails here, the Austrian government has failed, and the people in Austria – you have seen it today – are feeling more and more insecure. And a pepper spray is increasing your safety feeling, because if you are having an emergency, [the pepper spray] is a possibility to defend yourself.”
SOT, Robert Lugar, Member of Austrian Parliament (German): ”First we need to send back all immigrants from Austria, and there are 300,000 of them here in Austria. Next we should not let it more of them, without controls, without knowing, what their plans are. And of course we need more police on the street, which are taking care for safety. And we – the taxpayers – are expecting that. And we have the right to expect that.”

10. Al Jazeera video on attack in Tunisia, analyst: “This could be just the beginning”

Thank you M., Maria J., Wrath of Khan, Buck, Dan F., and many many more.

There is a lot more coming today as well. Please check back regularly.

As I may have mentioned, work has me very busy this week, so posting is a bit lighter than usual but will still take place. This is not a fund request by the way. Sometimes its good to do other work and I would be doing it even if I could afford to do this with no help. But it means posting is delayed a little for the week. The comments however have been a gold mine of information today. So please do continue to check those.

There are some great videos coming up in the next few hours and many more news items of interest. but this is a decent start.

  1. When I was working in Vancouver a few years ago, I kept expecting lightning bolts and earthquakes. A lovely city run by sexual deviants. I had no idea such permutations were possible, let alone advocated.

“Asian” used as a euphemism for Tardish reprobates makes me furious. Chinese and Japanese restaurants in Vancouver won my devotion to the people. Their food is that good. Strong Buddhist community, guaranteed vegetarian offerings. Pig heaven, so to speak.

What’s to become of Vancouver when the RoP takes over?

    • I don’t know but I agree with you about the Chinese and Japanese food, starting a good Chinese restaurant in mid Missouri is a license to print money for the owners. Granted as the economy gets worse their business is dropping off but not as much as the other restaurants, at least 3 of the other restaurants have closed in the past two years.

      • We have some fruity vegetarian restaurants that mess with brown rice and tofu. The real Asian veggie cuisine is to die for.

  2. Eeyore you said the game is rigged, the following are the three rules of life:

    Rule 1: You can’t win

Rule 2: You can’t break even

Rule 3: You can’t quit the game.

  3. What does “cisgender” and “cuckservitive mean? : I have gone several months not knowing what they mean. ””””””should I go to wicki?

    • I’m lost here too, Babs.
But that’s not unusual for me. I don’t bother looking up unicorn variants.
I’ll google the name of some pop celebrity only if the name keeps coming up and the context is compelling. That is, rarely.
Google is beginning to show a quick blurb on the righthand-side of the first screen. I’m touched: they’re getting to know me, sparing me a wiki search.
