  1. Spain: Tripped Syrian refugees to be settled near Madrid by football academy

    Syrian refugee Osama Abdul Mohsen, tripped by a Hungarian journalist Laszlo Petra on the Serbian-Hungarian border while he was carrying his son, arrived at Atocha train station in Madrid, Wednesday night. Mohsen was offered a football coaching job by the Football Coach Training Centre (CENAFE). The footage shows CENAFE’s President Miguel Angel Galan greeting the refugee family at the railway station entrance.

    “An Afghan man has died after setting himself on fire at a West Australian detention centre, local media said.

    The Department of Immigration told journalists a man from the detention centre died in hospital on Wednesday.

    He had sustained burns to 90% of his body after setting himself on fire at the Yongah Hill centre the day before.

    A refugee visa for the 40-year-old man, named by media as Ali Jafarri, was cancelled last year because of child molestation convictions in Australia…”

    “Authorities in Tajikistan say former deputy defence minister Abdukhalim Nazarzoda was among a group of rebels killed on Wednesday.

    Gen Nazarzoda was a member of the government until 4 September, when he was blamed for gun battles in which at least nine police officers were killed.
