1. Iran seems to be rocketing ahead with the ‘hudud’ or sharia punishments. The other day we had this for an alleged thief (I say alleged because I am pretty confident we would not recognize their methods for determining guilt as rational or reason based) and today we have this:
A man has been sentenced to have his eyes gouged out in Iran after damaging the sight of a man during a street fight, it has been reported.
The horrifying ‘eye for an eye’ sentence was handed down to a 27-year-old man, referred to only by his first name, Hamed.
It is punishment for unintentionally injuring a man’s eye during a brawl in March 2011, when he was just 23 years old.

Police have foiled five deadly terror plots in the last year, Scotland Yard chief Sir Bernard-Hogan Howe revealed today.
The Met Police commissioner said there had been a dramatic increase in the number of ‘life-threatening’ outrages disrupted by security services who are used to catching just one every 12 months.
He also warned of a growing number of young adults travelling to Syria, adding it was ‘impossible to understand’ why people tried to take children to live under the barbaric ISIS terror group.
(It still boils my blood that modern leftist groups are still fighting a war against American slavery that was won 100 years ago by better people than they, and yet they have nothing at all to say about slavery of people today, now under equal or worse circumstances)
ISIS executes 19 girls for refusing to have sex with fighters as UN envoy reveals how sex slaves are ‘peddled like barrels of petrol’
- The women refused to practice ‘sexual jihad’, a Kurdish official has claimed
- He also claimed money, distribution of women has created a rift within ISIS
- ISIS published ‘price list’ of captured Yazidi, Christian sex slaves last year
- UN envoy verified the document as genuine after spending time in region
ISIS fanatics have executed 19 women for refusing to have sex with its fighters, a Kurdish official has said.
He claimed the women were being held hostage in Islamic State’s stronghold of Mosul, Iraq, which the terror group seized in June last year.
Meanwhile a UN envoy investigating Islamic State’s vile sex trade has said ‘girls get peddled like barrels of petrol’ and one can be bought by six different men.
She also verified a disturbing ISIS document which suggested the extremists sell the Yazidi and Christian women and children they have abducted, with girls aged just one to nine-years-old fetching the most money.
ISIS stormed the Sinjar district in northern Iraq last year and captured hundreds of women belonging to the Yazidi community, who the Islamists view as heretics.

He may have agreed to take her for better and for worse, but for one Algerian groom, seeing his new wife without make-up was a step too far.
The husband was so shocked after seeing his bride’s face the morning after their wedding that he failed to even recognise her.
He even accused her of being a thief that had broken into his house.
After realising it was in fact the woman he had married only yesterday, he decided to take her to court – accusing her inflicting ‘psychological suffering’ by ‘cheating’ him with her make-up.
The groom is now seeking $20,000 (£13,000) damages.
Newspapers in the North African Arab country said the groom swore in court that he even mistook his wife for a ‘thief who came to steal his apartment’, Emirates 24/7 reports.
Bendigo’s first mosque has survived a legal challenge mounted by a group of residents with a Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal decision upholding the proposal’s planning permit.
VCAT president Justice Greg Garde and senior member Margaret Baird rejected claims by a group of about 15 people that the development of a mosque on the outskirts of Bendigo would be detrimental to the regional city, in a decision published today.
They found that the Australian Islamic Mission’s proposal to build a mosque, sports hall and other facilities on Rowena Street in Bendigo East did not present significant social or other impacts to the community and would not unreasonably affect nearby homes.

6. Sweden Aug. 4 2015 Swedish SD party hung banners apologizing to tourists about the atrocious state of the public parks after a group of Gypsies trashed it, (as they do in parks across Europe) leaving it filthy, dangerous and not useable. The leftist groups, who likely are the same ones that shouted “racists” at gay pride marchers who went through 2 muslim areas last week in Sweden, did a mass demonstration against Swedish SD shouting “NO RACISTS IN OUR STREETS” and “Alert Alert Anti-Fascists” etc. and pulled down the banners. The police did nothing despite it being an illegal demo and vandalism etc.
A suicide bomber struck a mosque in southwestern Saudi Arabia used by Interior Ministry’s special forces on Thursday, killing at least 15 people, ministry officials said in what was one of the deadliest attacks in the kingdom in recent weeks.
No one immediately claimed responsibility for the blast in the city of Abha, which is close to Saudi Arabia’s southern border with war-torn Yemen, but the bombing had all the hallmarks of militant groups such as al-Qaida or the Islamic State.
An Interior Ministry statement said 13 were killed and that 10 of those killed were members of the security forces. Security officials later told The Associated Press that two more security personnel were confirmed dead, raising the death toll in the attack to 15.
Thank you Shabnam, M., Buck, Dumbstruck, Liberty Dk., Richard and many more and woh there is more to come. Quite a bit more.
The Gorka site, the analyst who was the first speaker at the Heritage Foundation series posted a few days ago, is very good. I will add his link to the blogroll momentarily.
