Britain can rightly take pride in its tolerant outlook. Indeed, it is this attitude that has helped to build our remarkably successful multi-ethnic society, even as immigration has reached unprecedented levels.

But there is a danger that such tolerance sometimes degenerates into a cowardly reluctance to tackle damaging social practices within certain ethnic minorities. In political circles, the fear of accusations of racial prejudice can create a climate of denial, where hard realities are ignored and difficult truths become unsayable.

That is certainly what happened over the disgraceful sex-grooming scandal in Rotherham, in which the civic authorities, including the police and social services, tried to cover up the systematic abuse of more than 1,400 vulnerable girls by predatory gangs of Pakistani heritage men.

3. Police say kill six militants in Kyrgyz capital

BISHKEK, July 16 (Reuters) – Security forces said they killed six gunmen in two clashes in Kyrgyzstan’s capital on Thursday, stoking fears of the spread of militancy in the politically turbulent region.

Bursts of machinegun fire and explosions rang out from Bishkek’s Gorky Street area, about a mile (1.5 km) from parliament and government buildings, people said on social media.

“They were preparing a terrorist attack,” National Security Committee spokesman Rakhat Sulaimanov said, adding it was not clear what group they belonged to.

Authorities in the mostly Muslim nation have said they are worried about the risk of locals joining militant groups in Iraq and Syria, then returning to mount attacks at home.

4. Attacker in US murder of 5 citizens, 4 of whom were military personnel is named:

Four Marines killed and one critical after 24-year-old gunman named Muhammad Abdulazeez opened fire with ‘high-powered rifle’ on two Tennessee military centers – before being shot dead

  • Four Marines were killed after a gunman opened fire on recruitment offices in Chattanooga, Tennessee 
  • A police officer and soldier were also injured 
  • Officials have not yet named the shooter, but local outlets are identifying the now-deceased suspect as 24-year-old Muhammad Youssef Abdulazeez
  • Abdulazeez is reportedly a naturalized U.S. citizen originally from Kuwait 
  • Shots rang out at military recruitment offices in a strip mall on Lee Highway just before 11am

Four Marines were killed this morning, when a heavily-armed gunman opened fire on two military centers in Chattanooga, Tennessee in what is being described as an ‘act of domestic terrorism’.

Officials have not yet officially named the now-deceased shooter, but law enforcement sources identified the suspect to CBS as 24-year-old naturalized U.S. citizen Muhammad Youssef Abdulazeez, originally from Kuwait. He lived in Hixson, Tennessee, which is just a few miles across the river from Chattanooga.

(Its a shame they killed him. Obama could have traded him to the Islamic State for a box of Titleist and a diet coke)

  5. The Right Scoop – Is ‘Muhammad Youssef Abdulazeez’ a Muslim name??! CNN analyst JUST CAN’T TELL!!

    CNN analyst Tom Fuentes is usually a pretty decent commentator, but today he went full PC. And you NEVER go full PC.

    Today’s the last day of Ramadan. With that name. He attacked and murdered four Marines. Are we really jumping to conclusions here to look for Islamist motivations?

    Yeah, I dunno what the FBI taught Tom but if they’re teaching them that a dude named Muhammad isn’t likely to be a Muslim, well… we’re all screwed, my friends.

  6. I note that Bill Killian, the US Atty for the E District of Tennessee was at the briefing. Two years ago he was at a town hall in Manchester, Tn warning people they might be prosecuted for speaking out on Islam.

    I am absolutely vomitting about this – make no mistake THIS IS AS IMPORTANT AS IT IS SIGNIFICANT! What more proof do you need to see that France is definately occupied by the infestation and that the so-called “French Authorities” are the cheapest whores in the world!
    So they are going to have discussions with the “Authoooooorities”? Not only will those whores lay down before the “Royalty” who 2 or 3 generations ago still slept with the goats (as in sleeping arrangements not as in “copulating-arrangements” which still persist I’m told) and are now R O Y A L T Y lol !, but these French “whoring Authorities” will actually beg the tards to “please please please take us”.
