1. Iranian nuke negotiators get rock star welcome in Tehran
A Malaysian cartoonist known for lampooning the ruling coalition was charged Friday with nine counts of sedition over a series of tweets criticizing the country’s judiciary.
The charges against Zulkiflee Anwar Alhaque, better known as Zunar, came amid a widening government crackdown on opposition politicians and the media slammed by critics as a move to stifle freedom of expression.
“This is a record, being charged nine times and using the sedition law. It is excessive and targeted at silencing vocal critics,” said Zunar’s lawyer, Latheefa Koya.
Zunar faces up to 43 years in jail if found guilty on all nine charges under the colonial-era law, she said. He was released on bail after being charged.
(Malaysia like Indonesia, needs to be abandoned as an example of how a muslim nation can be a cooperative member of the world of nations)
(This story is quite disappointing. It needs careful analysis as it will speak volumes to Al Sisi’s actual agenda. Is he trying to offer something to the muslims in order to move forwards or is he really backing a sharia agenda?)
First, what happened is that, when we make a decision for the church but then cannot implement this decision [to build the church] because some of the Muslims do not want it, because they don’t want the church—this is, first and foremost, a failure of the state and its authority and a failure of the rule of law. When a group comes to oppose [with violence, several Copts were injured], and the police leaves them free, this is like a disease that will spread everywhere.
Today, for example, there is a decision, but there are say 3-4 Brotherhood or Salafis opposing it, and the government appears protesting with them—in this case, you have given everyone who wants to oppose [with violence] the opportunity to oppose.
Those who saw Noelle Velentzas and Asia Siddiqui attending services at their mosque, or walking in their Queens neighborhood said the former roommates were devoted to Islam and family — but never showed interest in violent jihad, as authorities charge.
“They have been an upright family,” said Imam Charles Aziz Bilal of Masjid Al-Hamdulillah mosque on Sutphin Boulevard in Jamaica, speaking of Velentzas, her husband and daughter.
(One cannot be devoted to islam and not to jihad. That is axiomatic. Jihad watch on this here)
5. There is much discussion about a pizza shop that may or may not make discriminating judgement calls about homosexuals. I am not fully apprised on the issue. But I do think this Crowder video does put some proper perspective on this issue

7. Britain First Vs. Anjem Choudary in London. Story here.
I must say, the headline of the Standard story linked above is one of the most dishonest headlines I have ever seen outside of the National Enquirer. Perhaps more so as the NE typically doesn’t expect people to really believe them.
These were not “Muslim Worshipers, they are agitating against democracy itself and demanding sharia law for England. This makes them, in a sane world, actual seditionists. Traitors. Ingrates if you like as many are on public assistance. If you must buy the extremist narrative, Islamic extremists. To refer to them as ‘worshipers and then dare contrast that with “far right extremists” because a group of British citizens actually want to preserve British jurisprudence, legal foundations, democratic principles and thousands of years of British history should be an actionable slander and libel. Mr. Golding should sue.
The article appears more honest than the headline. Which makes one wonder what really did happen there.
Thank you M. Richard, Yucki, and a host of others including some new names who sent in materials. I occasionally lose track of it all when a post runs overnight but my gratitude is out there to you. There likely will be a lot more to come today. Lowell Green, the Ottawa radio host and one of the extremely few Canadian media people ready to say anything good about Christianity and hold islam to account to the extent that our insane laws and even more insane Marxist quasi legal yet fully Marxist organizations such as the HRCs and various journalist organizations allow, had an interesting show on today about Christianity’s positive civilizing influence. He made an error though about the Crusades and a caller corrected him on that.
