1. College suspends Arabic school after links to radical Islam found

Rosemont College was renting space to the El Forkane school, run by Mohamed Ridha Rahmaoui.

An investigation by TVA, QMI Agency ’s sister TV station, found links on the school’s website to sites promoting radical Islam ideology, including Salafism, one of the more fundamental strains of the faith.

While Rahmaoui, who also runs a kindergarten under the El Forkane name, insisted that he is in favour of secular education, that’s contradicted by one Arabic-language sermon that was linked to on his school’s website.

“Beware of the enemies of Islam; they will always want trouble, they set traps, the largest of which is their schools,” it read.  (CBC Variant of the story)

2. For the Islamic State, this kind of unbridled violence is better than sex. and easier on the goats. -Paraphrasing Lt. Col. Ralph Peters.

3. Boko Haram attacks Niger prison before vote

NIAMEY (Reuters) – Islamist fighters from Nigeria’s Boko Haram sect attacked a prison in neighbouring Niger overnight, hours before Niger’s parliament was due to vote on joining a regional offensive against the militants, witnesses said.

Heavy gunfire rang out as Niger’s army repelled the attack, Boko Haram’s third assault on the border town of Diffa in four days, residents and military sources told Reuters.

4. Gaza Reconstruction Stalled by Fatah-Hamas Deadlock

Over five months after last summer’s Gaza conflict ended, reconstruction of the territory has effectively ground to a halt, with the UN-designed postwar framework failing to move beyond its first phase. While recent statements by some international officials have put the onus on the donor community for failing to deliver on pledges, the reality is that continued divisions between Hamas and Fatah are the primary obstacle. According to the deal reached at war’s end, the prerequisite for any wide-ranging reconstruction was the Fatah-led Palestinian Authority returning to Gaza. The PA has shown no inclination to make good on its commitments, however, and Hamas has yet to relinquish real authority over the territory. With the two factions at a stalemate (see “Gaza’s Explosion Waiting to Happen,” Politico) and the dire economic conditions that led to the war still in place, many believe that it is only a matter of time before another explosion erupts in Gaza.

5.Brand New Information on Grover Norquist’s Decades-Old Palestinian Connection

(For those who may want to know more about Grover and his Islamophelia etc. than they could have ever possibly wanted to know, please watch this stunning 10 part series about Islamic infiltration into both parities in the US. But please, not all at once)

Never before Reported: Norquist’s Brother-in-Law Cofounded Islamic Institute

What has not been reported until now are Norquist’s other family ties to pro-Hamas Palestinian activism, including the previously unknown relationship with a man named Majed Tomeh who has been married to Norquist’s sister Loraine for decades and who was a co-founder of Norquist’s Islamic Institute.

Majed Tomeh is a long-time Palestinian activist. In the 1980s, when he attended Harvard Business School, Tomeh was the coordinator of the American Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee in Boston…you’ll remember that this is same ADC that Khaled Saffuri was the national development director of in the same time period.

Why has Majed Tomeh never been mentioned by Grover Norquist as a co-founder of the Islamic Institute?

6. More senior US military leaders trying to describe the IS and the US attitude towards it.

7. US shipload of weapons and ammunition arrives in Lebanon

BEIRUT (AP) — The U.S. ambassador to Lebanon said Sunday that $25 million worth of weapons and ammunition have arrived in Beirut, the latest American assistance to Lebanon’s army as it fights Islamic extremists along the border with Syria.

Ambassador David Hale said the equipment includes more than 70 M198 howitzers and over 26 million rounds of ammunition and artillery “of all shapes and sizes, including heavy artillery.”

Islamic extremists have launched several attacks on Lebanese troops over the past months in areas near the Syrian border, killing and wounding scores of troops. The most serious attack occurred in August, when members of the al-Qaida-linked Nusra Front and the Islamic State group captured two dozen Lebanese soldiers. They have killed four of them and still hold the rest.

Thank you Draculea, M., PM., ML., CB Sashenka, The Right Planet, Wrath of Khan and so many who have been vigilant and helped compile this post and all the posts today. There are rumors that there may be some more focused information about the growing threat to the West this year. We shall know soon enough either way.

  1. Lee Smith: Nuclear Dreams: Iran Now Controls Four Arab Capitals, Plus Washington, D.C.

(originally in Tablet Magazine, but this page has a map showing the disposition of troubles in Yemen)

The Iran deal that Obama has in mind is going to be so awesomely epic and world-changing that it will easily be worth all the chaos the region is now undergoing—from broken alliances and promises, to the high and rising death toll, massive population transfers, the destruction of ancient cities, and the trauma of an entire generation for whom beheadings and human barbeques have become a normal part of life.

  2. That General is pathetic. ‘radical’ islam, what is that? Do the radicals have a different koran, a different hadith, a different history of conquest and murder? What a mess, and all of our leaders are scared of telling the truth, the problem is islam. Even the simplest and easiest step to protect us is not even considered. What is that step? Stop Muslim Immigration Now. That’s it. No more muslim immigrants to the US. We have that right to say no more Muslims.

  3. Imam Yusuf al-Qaradawi – President of the IUMS and the President of the European Council for Fatwa and Research – sends a letter to the French President Francois Hollande; it was delivered to the French Embassy in Doha, Qatar

[…]Imam Al-Qaradawi explained his complete denial to European newspapers publishing cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad – peace be upon him, and the Book of our God the Quran, and his call for Muslims to denied it in all peaceful means legitimate and legal, as it is not reasonable to take the intellectual and expressive values of freedom as a cover to assault religious sanctities and obtain its symbols, adding that all of the Islamic nation does not accept insulting sanctities or rituals.

Al-Qaradawi called France and European countries to the initiative to produce legislation to protect religious shrines, where it is unreasonable or prevent the laws to abuse the individuals, while it is silent in front of the abuse to the prophets, and the French legislator who was able to issue legislation to the offense of anti-Semitism, has the ability to pass legislation that criminalize defamation of religions and prophets and holy sites.

Al-Qaradawi added that during the processing of the phenomenon of terrorism we should not stand in front of the effects and results, while not neglecting the reasons and motives that feed terrorism, which is the loss of human justice, and to provoke the religious feelings, and the neglect of the rights of Palestinians to establish their own state, and to overlook the Israeli crimes in their right as he said, and support for authoritarian regimes in the Arab and Muslim world, which shed the blood of their own people and violate their freedom, as is the case in Syria and Egypt, stressing that the treatment of these problems will destroy terrorism from its roots in the world.

  4. TORONTO – Jury watches video of Via terror suspects checking railway tracks

Jurors at the Via Rail terror trial watched chilling aerial surveillance video Monday of two alleged terrorists standing beside the targeted train they allegedly plotted to derail.

“That’s the target,” alleged terrorist Raed Jaser told co-accused terrorist Chiheb Esseghaier, the eastbound Via Rail racing past them as they stood conspicuously only 10 to 15 feet away.

The two men had no idea that the third man on the tracks with them, Tamer El Noury, was an undercover FBI agent who was recording their conversations with a bodypack while aerial surveillance video was being shot at the same time.

El Noury testified that he and the two co-accused were scouting the railway tracks and bridges by the eastern end of Toronto on Sept. 24, 2012.

El Noury said he, Jaser and Esseghaier walked eastbound along the tracks through “picturesque” bushland after parking near a water filtration plant.

  5. Hello there….its me again……Don Laird….

A couple of links……and a video……….and a few words to the Cultural Marxists.

“The abyss and our self-detonating dinner guests aside, I am simply, albeit in a somewhat direct, unswerving, rough hewn manner, saying; no more disrespect, no more flag burning, no more wiping your asses with a piece of cloth that covers the coffins of our very best, our bravest young men and women, no more smearing the excrement of “free expression” on that which herald’s one of the greatest nations and democracies in the world.”

Take some pride in that which birthed, nourished and protects you, show a little grace and a little gratitude.

  6. Cairo, Moscow to build 1st nuclear plant in Egypt

Egyptian President Abdel Fatah al Sisi said Tuesday that Cairo would cooperate with Moscow to see the construction of the first nuclear power plant in Egypt, on the second day of President Vladimir Putin’s official visit to the Arab country.

Egypt and Russia “have signed a memorandum of understanding to build the first nuclear plant in [the northern city of] El-Dabaa,” Sisi said during a news conference.

The Egyptian leader was speaking to journalists at Cairo’s Al Qubba presidential palace, where he was joined by his Russian counterpart, Putin.

During the conference, Sisi also said that Cairo would strengthen its military cooperation with Moscow./b>

Sisi stressed the importance of a two-state solution to the Palestinian-Israeli problem and preserve the unity of Libya.

Standing next to Sisi, Putin said that he expected there would be a new round of talks to resolve the Syrian conflict after some opposition figures and the Damascus government met in Moscow last month.

“We look forward … to the next round of such talks, which ultimately I hope will lead to a peaceful settlement of the situation in Syria,” Putin said.

Putin arrived on Monday in Egypt, in a landmark two-day visit aimed at boosting Moscow’s economic and political ties with Cairo.
