Al-Baghdadi’s statement came after rumours that he was wounded in an airstrike. It was not clear whether the recording was made before or after the incident.

2. Italy: More violence around Rome migrant centre, refugees moved
Earlier in the day residents of the Tor Sapienza area threw bottles and stones at the centre, which mostly hosts minors.
The refugees responded by throwing objects from the windows, reports said. The latest violence was reportedly triggered by a bar’s refusal to allow a group of migrants to enter.

4. Blasts shake 2 embassies in Libyan capital, witnesses say
(CNN) — Bombs exploded near two shuttered embassies in Tripoli Thursday morning, according to state media and eyewitness accounts.
Libyan state media, citing witnesses, said a car bomb exploded near the Egyptian embassy in central Tripoli. The second blast occurred near the embassy of the United Arab Emirates in the western part of the capital, according to residents.
No injuries were reported in either blast, but photos posted to social media appeared to show extensive damage around both buildings.
5. Egypt: navy ship attacked, bomb explosion in Cairo metro
(ANSAmed) – CAIRO – Egyptian authorities accused jihadists of the Islamic State (ISIS) for an attack Wednesday night on a navy motorboat along the coast between Porto Said and Damietta. Eight sailors are missing. There were “foreigners who could be members of the Islamic State” involved in the attack, reported newspaper El Masri el Youm citing a high ranking military source.

6. Canadian Man Could Be Extradited to France Soon
A Canadian man facing extradition to France in connection with a 1980 Paris synagogue bombing that killed four people could be extradited within days after the Supreme Court of Canada announced Thursday it will not hear his case.
Clarissa Lamb, a spokeswoman for Canada’s justice minister, said Hassan Diab, a 60-year-old Canadian of Lebanese descent, is subject to immediate removal and the government has 45 days to do it.
(This is not a trivial thing. The politicization of institutions is the very definition of a totalitarian state. The military, police etc. must all be free of political influence in this way and operate based on rules specific to their own institutional rules. The politics of its members cannot be a factor, only the behaviour of the individuals. It appears that British institutions have become so politicized that to question policies of an allegedly democratic government is grounds for dismissal, is totalitarian without question, other than one of degree of ‘punishment’ for thought crimes.
Immigration is a critically important government policy as much as deciding to whom to rent a room in your home and how many people you want to allow to live in your home would be. Firing people who question the wisdom of open immigration should ring alarms, and maybe even trigger a serious movement to reform democracy in the UK)

SYRIA – Al Nusra and IS to work together
AP sources: Islamic State, al-Qaida branch agree to stop fighting and work together in Syria
Militant leaders from the Islamic State group and al-Qaida gathered at a farm house in northern Syria last week and agreed on a plan to stop fighting each other and work together against their opponents, a high-level Syrian opposition official and a rebel commander have told The Associated Press.
Such an accord could present new difficulties for Washington’s strategy against the IS group. While warplanes from a U.S.-led coalition strike militants from the air, the Obama administration has counted on arming “moderate” rebel factions to push them back on the ground. Those rebels, already considered relatively weak and disorganized, would face far stronger opposition if the two heavy-hitting militant groups now are working together.

ISIS and Al Qaeda Ready to Gang Up on Obama’s Rebels
At a secret meeting in Syria brokered by the dreaded Khorasan group, the terrorist rivals discussed a merger.
ISTANBUL—Jihadi veterans known collectively as the Khorasan group, which have been targeted in two waves of airstrikes by U.S. warplanes, are trying to broker an alarming merger between militant archrivals the Islamic State and Jabhat al Nusra, the official Syrian branch of al Qaeda.
The merger, if it comes off, would have major ramifications for the West. It would reshape an already complex battlefield in Syria, shift forces further against Western interests, and worsen the prospects for survival of the dwindling and squabbling bands of moderate rebels the U.S. is backing and is planning to train.
“Khorasan sees its role now as securing an end to the internal conflict between Islamic State and al Nusra,” says a senior rebel source. The first results are already being seen on the ground in northern Syria with a coordinated attack on two rebel militias favored by Washington.
All three of the groups involved in the merger talks—Khorasan, Islamic State (widely known as ISIS or ISIL), and al Nusra—originally were part of al Qaeda. Khorasan reportedly was dispatched to Syria originally to recruit Westerners from among the thousands of jihadi volunteers who could take their terror war back to Europe and the United States. But among ferocious ideologues, similar roots are no guarantee of mutual sympathy when schisms occur.

BBC – Lebanese Hezbollah minister has said foreign powers are to blame for the suffering of civilians in Syria.In an interview with the BBC’s Mishal Husain, Mohammed Fneish said the “intervention” of some Western and Arab states in the conflict was prolonging the fighting
Mr Fneish, whose group is a key ally of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, said the war could be over in months if foreign powers ceased backing rebels in Syria. It is the first time the Hezbollah leadership has spoken to the international media since the Syrian crisis began in 2011.

Former Mufti of Al-Qaeda: ISIS Does Not Qualify as a Legitimate Caliphate
In a November 8 interview with the UAE channel Alaan TV, former Mufti of Al-Qaeda, Abu Hafs Al-Mauritani, said that the caliphate declared by ISIS leader Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi does not meet the terms dictated by the shari’a. Abu Hafs criticized ISIS for its massacres of Shiites, killing of civilians, and slaughtering of journalists, and added that the split of ISIS from Al-Qaeda was anticipated.

Very, very short-sighted.
I know one man who thinks Obama wants us to be invaded by several foreign armies.
He’s certainly antagonized most of our allies. He’ll hang out in Qatar until the “unpleasantness” is over.
He is forgetting that we have people trained to blend into the environment in that area, they will go hunting him and I doubt if they will try capture.
