1. Australia cuts welfare payments of suspected jihadis to avoid finding terror
WELFARE payments to more than a dozen suspected jihadists have been axed to stop Australian taxpayers’ money being used to finance terrorist outrages in Iraq and Syria.
But the Federal Government refuses to say whether an audit has guaranteed the cancellation of all welfare to Australians suspected of joining the Islamic State.
Wanted terrorist Khaled Sharrouf, who was photographed executing Iraqi soldiers and whose young son was photographed holding a soldier’s severed head, received a $383-a-week disability support pension for several months. It lapsed after he left Australia on his brother’s passport.
3. Ezra Levant does special on climate science from Vegas. He also mentions how Vice media has become another classic purveyor of the narrative when they used to be pretty excellent in terms of speaking unpopular truths.
More shortly.
Thank you Yucki, M., GoV, Wrath of Khan and more who sent in material.
White washing of Islamic Caliphates has begun.
“…they completely fail to recognise the caliphate was an outward looking, cosmopolitan, economically powerful, multi-faith enterprise from the start, with Jews and Christians alike playing influential commercial, religious and political roles. …” http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2014/08/16/in-threatening-baghdad-militants-seek-to-undo-800-years-of-history.html
What is needed are knowledgeable people in history and non-PC Islam to pick apart such propaganda to non-Muslims, both in the comments and in a separate rebuttal. One reads knowing there is a slant but does know enough historical details to counter.
#1 I hope more nations take this common sense approach.
DAILY MAILO – UK – John Lewis’s new line, hijabs to wear at school: Department store signs contract with schools in London and Liverpool to offer conservative Islamic clothing
John Lewis is offering the hijab in its school uniform department for the first time.
The headdress is to be sold in the company’s stores in London and Liverpool after it signed contracts with two schools – one which was set up to educate Muslim girls and a second that welcomes pupils from all religious communities.
John Lewis has won the contract to supply uniforms to the Islamia Girls’ School in north-west London, which was established in 1983 by Yusuf Islam – known as the singer Cat Stevens until his conversion to Islam in 1977.
It is selling a white hijab for £9, alongside a teal blazer carrying the school badge, which costs £65, a long ankle-length grey skirt at £40, and other items.
John Lewis will also be supplying the hijab as part of the uniform for Belvedere Academy in Liverpool, which is a non-denominational girls’ school with pupils from a wide range of religious backgrounds.
