1. Liberia declares state of emergency due to Ebola.

(Anyone who has seen the Vice Travel video on Youtube on Liberia would know that this must be serious, as the entire country is a state of emergency as day to day life. Autostart video on page)

The new figures come as Nigeria confirmed the death of a nurse of Ebola. It was the second death from the disease in Nigeria and a growing number of cases are being reported in Lagos, a megacity of some 21 million people.

2. Antisemitic Attack on Jewish Children on School bus.

Kids terrorised by Nazis on bus, says Mum

  • Teens arrested after storming bus, saying ‘Heil Hitler’, ‘kill the Jews’
  • Security at schools increased this morning following attack

Police said at 3.50am today, five young males were found in Dover Heights. They are believed to be those who were on the bus.

Due to their level of intoxication they could not be formally interviewed by police. Their parents were contacted and Waverley detectives plan to formally interview the group later today.

3. Christian leader: ISIS beheading children

(The video may be autostart. I think I may have to allow this one though. Sorry for the annoyance but if this isn’t worthy of a klaxon, nothing is)

I am going to post the rest of this one below the fold in case there are multiple auto-start events.

4. Iraqi Yazidi lawmaker: ‘Hundreds of my people are being slaughtered’

5. The New Female face of terror

6. US adds Nusrah, Islamic State financiers to list of global terrorists

Thank you M, Oz-Rita, Wrath of Khan, Richard, ML, and many more. Its been a horrible day in terms of the decay of civilization in the world. I wonder if we could put together a petition to ask theIsraeli Government to air drop water, weapons and ammunition to the Yazidi people to help them defend themselves against the muslim aggressors. I think that would be a worthy thing for us to do, and for Israel.

  1. So, is the USS George Herbert Bush still sitting at anchor over there? Does it still have the capability of vaporizing every single one of those sick mutants ISIS freaks at the command of the president?

Did you notice how Obama said they would be intervening if and only if American interests were directly threatened? Ironic, isn’t it, that it took a radical progressive to turn US policy into the heartless monster that progressives keep saying it is. Once upon a time, the United States was known to step in because it was the right thing to do on occasion, but those days would appear to be gone. Let the Christian children’s heads roll, Mr. Obama…it’s no skin off your back.

  2. Why do our news anchors still sound incredulous when told about Islamic atrocities?

I am hoping CNN is turning a corner here though. Allowing this interview and Wolf Blitzers interview with the two faced Hamas representative to be aired are moments of clarity.

    • Don’t expect too much from CNN, they are going to continue to push the leftist line until forced to change direction.

  3. IRAQ – Yazidis Starving in Sinjar: Iraqi Helicopters Airdrop Aid Supplies From Turkey

Iraqi helicopters have dropped aid supplies from Turkey to around 30,000 Yazidis who have sought shelter in the Sinjar mountains after escaping a siege from Sunni militants of the Islamic State, according to Turkey’s foreign minister Ahmet Davutoglu.

Anadaolou news agency reported that “humanitarian aid boxes from Turkey” were sent by Iraqi helicopters to the religious minority, who risk starving to death after fleeing Sinjar.

Humanitarian agencies launched the alarm over thousands of Yazidis, whose religion is a syncretic combination of Zoroastrianism with Sufi Islam, dating back to ancient Mesopotamia, who are trapped without water or food in the hostile Sinjar mountains.

  4. New ISIS blitz drives Iraqi Christians out

KIRKUK, Iraq: Jihadists seized Iraq’s largest Christian town and surrounding areas Thursday, sending tens of thousands of panicked residents fleeing in what is being called a humanitarian disaster, officials and witnesses said.

The onslaught saw the Sunni extremist Islamic State of Iraq and Greater Syria (ISIS) extend its writ over northern Iraq and move within striking distance of autonomous Kurdistan, in one of the most dramatic developments of the two month-old conflict.

ISIS militants moved into Qaraqosh and other towns overnight after the withdrawal of Kurdish peshmerga troops, who are stretched thin across several fronts, residents said.

“Qaraqosh, Tal Kayf, Bartella and Karamlesh have been emptied of their original population and are now under the control of the militants,” Joseph Thomas, the Chaldean Catholic archbishop of Kirkuk and Sulaimaniyah, told AFP.

Entirely Christian Qaraqosh is lies between Mosul, the jihadists’ main hub in Iraq, and Arbil, the Kurdish region’s capital. It usually has a population of around 50,000.

Tal Kayf, the home of a significant Christian community as well as members of the Shabak Shiite minority, also emptied overnight.

  5. GAZA – ‘Resistance!’ Cry Crowds at Hamas Gaza Victory Rally

Hundreds of Palestinians poured onto the streets of Gaza City on Thursday to attend a Hamas victory rally, chanting support for resistance against Israel, an AFP reporter said.

Loudspeakers mounted by the roadside blared out Hamas victory songs as the crowd — most of them men but with some children dressed in combat fatigues and carrying toy guns — gathered in the square outside the parliament building.

A huge Palestinian flag hung behind a podium where speakers whipped up the crowd with chants of victory on the eve of the scheduled expiry of a 72-hour truce with Israel.

“We have won the military battle and with the permission of God we’ll win the political battle,” Hamas MP Mushir al-Masri told the crowd.

“Resistance, resistance, resistance!” chanted the demonstrators.

  6. The international community is like a lame elephant, bouncing around with the champange in one hand and one of their foots in the mouth.

People all around the world who hear about this, get’s pissed off; So much that even the buddist monks get’s violent. Who ever heard such a thing before in history?

Once again – Amnesty International, go f-ck your self, you shown that you no good anymore!

    • Once again – Amnesty International, go f-ck your self, you shown that you no good anymore!
      Ditto x2. You got it.
I can’t think of even one example of achievement on their part. Ever. Even if there were, they’d have been ruined when Jimmy Carter [poo!] joined their ranks.
