Gruesome footage has emerged of what appears to show Nigerian soldiers slitting the throats of insurgents and dumping their bodies in a mass grave. In one horrific video, a Boko Haram suspect is pulled from a truck and held down while a man in military uniform slices his neck open with a combat knife, hurling his body into a pit. The scene is repeated with another suspect on the same bloodied patch at the edge of the grave.
(I trust Boko Haram will write a nice letter of appreciation to the Nigerian Military for sending two of its finest to Mohamed’s Apres Vie Sky Bar & Brothel. That is after all, what they claim to want more than anything else)

The location is in the western part of Mosul, a city in northern Iraq.

The left has managed to reduce the Western assets that could perform this action, Obama has reduced our military to a level lower then what we had on Dec 7, 1941 and we are still the strongest military in the west. Then add in the physical problems, water weighs 8 pounds per gallon so that will take a lot of fuel to deliver the thousands of gallons they need, plus what type of container could it be put in that wouldn’t waste large portions of the water when the container burst when it hits the ground.
I wish we could do something, anything to help them but the logistics figures say we don’t have the assets to carry out the mission. For us to airlift supplies in we would need a secure landing field for fixed wing or zone for choppers the latter probably exists by we no longer have enough long range cargo choppers to carry out the mission. It all comes back to the number and quality of aircraft we have and the number and quality of pilots we have.
Turkey might help out, ya think?

CBS NEWS – Liberia declares state of emergency over Ebola
Liberia’s president declared a state of emergency Wednesday as the World Health Organization said the death toll from the Ebola outbreak in West Africa has risen to 932.
The new figures come as Nigeria confirmed the death of a nurse of Ebola. It was the second death from the disease in Nigeria and a growing number of cases are being reported in Lagos, a megacity of some 21 million people.

BBC – Liberia declares state of emergency over Ebola virus
Liberian President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has declared a state of emergency as the country grapples with an outbreak of the deadly Ebola virus.
Speaking on national television she said some civil liberties might have to be suspended.
The Ebola outbreak has also hit Guinea, Sierra Leone and Nigeria, killing more than 930 people.
World Health Organization (WHO) experts are meeting in Geneva, Switzerland, to discuss a response to the outbreak.
The two-day meeting will decide whether to declare a global health emergency.
