1. Not sure what to make of this yet.
The video seems to show an unprotected camera man close to an Ebola patient being taken in to a modern hospital. There are too many unknowns to be definitive about this but on the surface of it, there would appear to be poor measures in place to protect the public.
With each passing day, I like the Japanese tradition of bowing rather than our tradition of shaking hands. Could save a lot of lives.
2. Leaked CBP Report Shows Entire World Exploiting Open US Border
Among the significant revelations are that individuals from nations currently suffering from the world’s largest Ebola outbreak have been caught attempting to sneak across the porous U.S. border into the interior of the United States. At least 71 individuals from the three nations affected by the current Ebola outbreak have either turned themselves in or been caught attempting to illegally enter the U.S. by U.S. authorities between January 2014 and July 2014.
(I suspect that all the border controls into the US from Canada’s border are still 100% intact. What might this tell us about US policy and the Obama administration?)
3. Jerusalem has had 2 muslim attacks on civilians today so far. A shooting and an attack on a bus by a steam shovel. (Do they still call them steam shovels?)
3a. Updated: Terrorist Shooting in Jerusalem
4:28pm Ongoing manhunt for terrorist who shot at a Bus Stop Shelter near the Har HaZofim Tunnel entrance. Terrorist shot an Israeli in the stomach, ran a hundred meters away where he was picked up by a motorcycle. The terrorists fled to the nearby Wadi Jos Eastern Jerusalem neighborhood. Helicopters overhead in Jerusalem.

4. Police arrest two young women planning to join the jihad in Syria.
The parents of the minor reported her disappearance to the police, also telling the authorities that she had been behaving strangely over recent weeks.
A police chief involved in the operation said that this marks “the first time that the police have detained women in Spain who were planning on joining the jihad.” He added that the “most important aspect of these arrests is that they have avoided [the detainees] being led to an almost certain death.”
5. UPDATED: Lagos doctor ‘contracts’ Ebola
One of the doctors in Lagos who attended to Liberian Patrick Sawyer – the man credited with bringing Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) to Nigeria – has contracted the virus. According to minister of health, Professor Onyebuchi Chukwu (pictured), who confirmed the report, two other people under quarantine have developed symptoms of the virus “but it is not certain yet if they have the disease”. The minister added that out of the 70 persons established to have had contact with the late Liberian, eight persons were now being quarantined.
6. Friday Sermon at Italian Mosque: Kill the Jews to the Very Last One
Thank you Richard, M.,Tundra T, ML, Buck, Don L., and Facebook sources. More to come shortly. Does anyone else thing this week will be rather rich with surreal news items?
Hello there…..its me again…..Don Laird…….
I wrote about this Ebola crisis a while back, I am trying to find my comment.
Oh, here it is……..on a previous Vlad post, funny how accurate I was and now look where the disease is.
http://vladtepesblog.com/2014/03/31/news-links-for-march-31-2014-3/
Look for my comment in the link above and I will repost my comment below. I hate being right.
REPOSTED COMMENT……..(BECAUSE LAZY IS TOO THE BONE)
REGARDING THE EBOLA STORY…….I SENT THE TEXT BELOW A WEEK AGO WHEN THE DEATH TOLL WAS AT 59, NOW ITS RISING………..
WITH A FUN, FUN QUESTIONNAIRE AT THE END OF MY RANT WITH ONLY ONE FUN, FUN QUESTION TO ANSWER…..THE ANSWER TO WHICH SHOULD KEEP A FEW PEOPLE AWAKE ALL NIGHT LONG……
MY RANT:……….
Hello there…..its me again…….Don Laird…
Excuse my profanity………and my caps….
BUT THIS IS WHY WE HAVE FUCKING BORDERS!!!!!
59 dead and the death toll is climbing by the hour.
This is the latest in a rash of outbreaks in these Ebola hotspots including countries like Uganda, Liberia and Sierra Leone, just to name a few.
If this ever got off the hook in North America or Europe it has the potential to kill millions. FACT.
I have a few questions for all my hypocritical socialist/liberal/leftist hand-wringing, politically correct peddlers of multiculturalism who screech slogans like “NO BORDERS”!!!!……and “NO ONE IS ILLEGAL”!!!!
Have you ever seen the agony of a person dying of hemorrhagic fever?
Have you ever read the statistics of the speed at which hemorrhagic fever would spread if an outbreak occurred in North America or Europe???
Have you read of the estimated death toll should hemorrhagic fever truly slip its leash in North America and Europe?
I want you to think of your wife or husband or children laying in a bed dying from a case of hemorragic fever, delerious with 106 degree fever, body burning up, bleeding uncontrollably from the eyes, the anus and the vagina…….and you stand there utterly helpless, alone save for your wretched Leftist dogma and your infinite liberal hypocrisy.
Then, after an agonizing death, when they wrap the body in a haz-mat bag, you’re aren’t even able to say goodbye due to the risk of contagion, and then they roll the corpse away to be cremated. and there you are, still alone, with ashes and your empty dogma.
I wonder, after all of that, if….when one of those “illegals”, those “international tourists”, those “opportunistic travelers who presence adds another cutesy warm color to the global multicolored coat of diversity” climbs a fence and tries to enter your country illegally, would you raise a rifle, fire a warning shot in the air and then lower your aim, place the sights on the “travelers” forehead and scream……”ONE MORE STEP AND I’M GOING TO SEND YOU HOME”!!!!!….and then when that step was taken, have the resolve to protect your own life, the lives of your family, friends, neighbors and countrymen…..and pull the trigger.?
Well…..what would you do?

I find it difficult to understand why all flights to the rest of the world, from regions where Ebola has been detected, have not been banned.
Forget Gaza – those terrorists and their supporters are not important. Quarantine now. What the hell are we waiting for?
Its called political correctness…..it would be racist to ban flights from Africa…….unless the alleged plan of the Globalists is playing out…….to wipe out 80 percent of the world’s population.
You call it………
Regards, Don Laird
Don you may be on to something, I know that they want 80% or more of us dead and this is one way to that goal. For those who think Don and I are crazy with our comments google “Deep Ecology” what you find will surprise and hopefully anger you
@Richard,
There is more reality to what we are saying than is reflected in both media and pubic awareness.
For a very chilling look into where governments look into the mandate of the UN that is quietly being implemented across the western world, its called “Agenda 21”
Google it.

Hello there…..its me again…..Don Laird……
Here’s one I left on BareNakedIslam regarding the Ebola crisis……….
Now do you know why staff in restaurants that run their hands through their hair or probe facial orifices sends me into a tailspin? (Starbucks)
Even going to the washroom in public has me all twitchy.
Piss all over the floor, shit stains on the toilets, Muslims washing their fucking feet in the sinks, lung chunks crusting the edges of sinks, snot on the mirrors…..the list abounds.
So I have to wash my hands and then take a piece of paper towel and use it to cover the door handle as I open the washroom door……….why?……have you ever seen the dozens of men and women who play with their genitals whilst taking a whizz and then blissfully walk out without washing hands?
No wonder Howie Mandel is as twitchy about germs as he is!!!
__________________________________________________________
Hello there….its me again…..Don Laird….
Well, well, well, well…..whadda we have here??????
Hospitals in Italy being locked down?….curiouser and curiouser and curiouser……quarantines in effect?……..what could that possibly be????……a media blackout????……what could possibly warrant all these jittery civil administrators??????……an ingrown toenail??……chronic flatulence????…..a bad case of atheletes foot?…..perhaps a scorching case of crabs?…….or maybe a rapidly mutating strain of Ebola or some other deadly and incurable 100% fatal strain of hemorrhagic fever????
Oh pooh pooh, silly, silly me!!!!….there I go again…..fear-mongering!!!!!!
I recall sending out an email about this a few weeks ago………
And it was received with a “ho-hum”……….but the death count was rising….and the infected area spreading rapidly……another of Africa’s charming little exports.
Like I said then…….if this slips its leash in Africa and stows away on one of the boatloads of human garbage washing ashore every hour in Europe…….well Ladies and Gents…….The Black Death will look like pickles, pastrami and potato salad in the park on a sunny afternoon.
Like I said……mark my words…….
I wonder if old Jason “No Borders” Kenny at Immigration Canada has been made aware of this?
Probably not….because after all, “no one is illegal”

OT: The public loo gives me the willies too.
I carry several pairs of latex gloves. Touch nothing directly, change them at each station of the ordeal. As I depart I peel off the last pair, hold the door open with my foot, toss them toward the rubbish bin. Shudder.
Not trying to hog the thread……….

No problem, with this loveliness go ahead and hog it.
OT Do you like pirate movies as well as westerns?
Yes!
Particularly if there’s some moderately genuine history behind them.
Oh, best ever!
Looks like a beer label. Classic color, Pirates’Booty [brand of cheese pocorn], Dr.Pepper, and chewing gum.
Thanks
Hello there…..its me again……..Don Laird……..
Well…..OK…….
Here’s one more……
I’d like you to meet three young ladies, Erin Magee, Ashleigh Baird and Mandy-Rae Krack (nee Cruickshank)
These ladies are “freedivers”, its a sport that claims many lives yet a sport that liberates more lives than it takes, and liberates the watcher of these extreme athletes.
The words to this video are worth listening to as well. They are the pondering speculations of the 1960’s existentialist philosopher Alan Watts.
And please do listen to the words, they are very thought provoking.
As for the ladies, they are diving with humpback whales and nothing, repeat nothing is Photoshopped. And yes, the whales tail does come just that close to the diver.

Not just in the Middle East, the current mess in DC closely resembles Berlin in the early 30x.
I posted there a few days ago did not get past their moderator.
All I did was question this assertion “In Europe, immigration has not led to integration, as the multiculturalists have wished, but to intimidation. “
I wrote that the Fabians did not use multiculturalism as a way of integration but to destroy the culture of those who would not use government services and rather survive on their own. This would be too slow a method to change the culture for the Communists and so the massive inflow of immigrants not only changed the voting power but would benefit in creating an offspring used to receiving benefits and credits in exchange for the labor.
As Diana West found – the Republicans are not Republicans. The sexual predators walk among them dress as Conservatives.
Check back Perfectchild, Gatestone takes a while to post comments but they usually always do.

The D.C. – Berlin analogy is most apt and unnerving.
It is real scary, apt enough and scary enough to cause several people who grew up in Nazi Germany find the means to commit suicide rather then go through that again.
It’s etched in the minds of their kids or kid-surrogates too. Who felt themselves shadowed by murdered babies. Who’d jump into bed and hold “Tantine” when her screams woke you up.
They too have a suitcase always packed. Learn more than 3 languages. Play violin rather than piano. Invest in assets like gold no matter what the market does. Starve rather than touch that stash.
Who always have their affairs in order. And yes, a secure emergency exit. Just knowing it’s there gets you through tough times.
Sadly, that’s the way some French Jews feel about having to flee to Israel. Imagine a country full of survivors and their survivors. Bound to be a little cuckoo, right?
When the State of Israel was born, some wanted to have a perpetual smoking oven. So as never to forget. Wiser voices prevailed and made-do with Yad Vashem.

I dislike Torossian. He’s a demogogue, plays to the hard right, and as Sultan Knish might put it, “decontextualises” diplomacy and war. In other words, he doesn’t have a clue.
He and choir to whom he preaches are as bad as the Haaretz fifth column. Carping appeals to Diaspora Jews who don’t have any skin in the game. It’s distinctly not in the best interests of Israelis who are just trying to hold each other close and tight.

If there is anything that you should get hanged for it has to be for standing in front of a group of people who look to you as a leader, and filling their heads with murderous hatred toward your fellow human beings. How is a kid supposed to grow up right listening to his spiritual leader fill his head with hateful lies like that? Telling someone to go kill a Jew is not freedom of speech. That “Imam” is trying to get Jewish people killed and he should be arrested and charged with attempted murder for that.
Just lynch the s.o.b.
1.
I would be more concerned with the Air conditioning system in the building then the newsman.
The Georgia Hospital doesn’t seem to have a level 4 bio-hazard level rating.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Biosafety_level#List_of_BSL-4_facilities
Funny: they even have a picture on wiki that this hospital has a BSL-3. When Ebola requires a level 4.?
That is scary.
The camera man was under NO THREAT. You need direct contact to be infected with the virus like the Doctor in Nigeria who caught the virus via contact with the patient. The patient in the video was wearing a hazmat suit he could have walked through a crowded shopping mall and everyone would have been safe. I’m reminded of the mid ’80s when people were scared because they thought they could catch AIDS from mosquito bites and toilet seats.
Gets ridiculous, doesn’t it?
Most people don’t follow the news, and back in the early 80s they didn’t know (or didn’t broadcast) that AIDS couldn’t be caught from mosquitos.
Thousands flee as Lebanon battles Syrian militants (yahoo, Aug 4, 2014)
http://yhoo.it/1omF0ff
“Thousands of Lebanese civilians and Syrian refugees crammed into cars and pickup trucks fled a town in eastern Lebanon Monday as troops battled al-Qaida-linked militants from neighboring Syria who overran the border region in the most serious spillover into Lebanon of the three-year conflict next door.
The fierce fighting in Arsal, now in its third day, has killed 17 Lebanese soldiers and compounded fears that tiny Lebanon is fast becoming a new front in its neighbor’s conflict. The government rushed reinforcements to the scene, including dozens of armored personal carriers, tanks and elite troops, suggesting fighting was about to worsen.
The civilian exodus came in the early morning hours during a relative lull in fighting and just a few hours later the bombardment around the town of Arsal had reached an intensity of three shells every minute….”
Egypt orphanage video ‘brutality’ triggers outrage (BBC, Aug 4, 2014)
http://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-28647118
“A video showing the manager of an orphanage in Egypt beating children in his care has provoked outrage in Egyptian media.
President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi has intervened and the manager has now been arrested.
The video shows children aged between four and seven crying as the manager beats them with a wooden stick.
The manager’s wife told Egyptian TV she shot the video a year ago as she “could not remain silent any more”.
“He beats everyone, even me and our kids,” she said.
In the video, the man is apparently punishing the children for turning on the television and opening the refrigerator without permission.
The video appeared on social media on Sunday. Within a day, it was was viewed more than 20,000 times on YouTube and gained more than 85,000 shares on Facebook.
The orphans have now been transferred to another orphanage, an activist with the handle @GhadaEgyptologist tweeted: “The kids are so happy, as if they just got freed from a prison”.
The governor of Giza province has also dissolved the orphanage’s board of directors, according to state-owned Nile News TV.
Mainstream press and TV channels also criticised the owner of the orphanage and called for him to be punished….”
Iraq offers air support to Kurdish fighters (BBC, Aug 4, 2014)
http://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-28640807
“Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri Maliki has ordered the air force to provide support to Kurdish forces fighting Sunni militants in the north.
It comes after the Islamic State (formerly known as Isis) seized two towns and two nearby oilfields from Kurdish troops over the weekend.
Kurdish forces, known as the Peshmerga, say they are planning a counter-attack.
Militants seized large swathes of northern Iraq from government control in June.
Since then, relations between the autonomous Kurdistan Region and Baghdad have been strained. Correspondents say Mr Maliki’s offer of air support could indicate a degree of rapprochement in the face of the Islamic State advance….”
Kurdish forces battle Islamic State in attempt to retake Iraqi town (CNN, Aug 4, 2014)
http://edition.cnn.com/2014/08/04/world/meast/iraq-crisis/index.html
“Heavy fighting is being reported in an Iraqi town close to Syria as Kurdish fighters battle the radical Islamic State, according to a source within the Kurdish fighting force.
The Islamic State, formerly the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria, or ISIS, took control of Sinjar — a small town inhabited by the Yezidi sect — on Saturday, police officials said.
The source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said Kurdish forces, known as the Peshmerga, entered Sinjar on Monday and have been engaged in house-to-house battles in some of the fiercest fighting since the fall of Mosul to the Islamic militant group in June.
Both sides are using heavy weaponry, the source said. Fighting has also been reported in the border town of Rabia, with Syria-based Kurds joining the battle against Islamic State militants.
Defenses are being strengthened around Duhok and Zako, Kurdish towns in northwestern Iraq, the source said….”

Gaza conflict: France condemns Israel ‘massacre’ (BBC, Aug 4, 2014)
http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-28637577
“France has condemned Israel in unusually strong terms over Gaza, with its foreign minister speaking of a massacre by Israel’s military.
While Israel’s right to security was total, this did not justify “killing of children and slaughter of civilians”, Laurent Fabius said in a statement.
Mr Fabius added that a political solution was essential.
This is a departure from the French foreign ministry’s normally diplomatic language, says a BBC correspondent.
The tradition of friendship between France and Israel is long-standing, says the BBC’s Hugh Schofield in France.
“How many more deaths will it take to stop… the carnage in Gaza?” Mr Fabius said in his statement….”
Iran Says It Gave Missile Technology to Hamas (abcnews, Aug 4, 2014)
http://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory/iran-gave-missile-technology-hamas-24835489
“Hamas is able to fire missiles into Israel because Tehran provided weapons technology to the militant group to defend itself against Israeli attacks, a senior Iranian official said Monday.
Officials from Iran’s powerful Revolutionary Guards have said in the past that Fajr-5 missiles are part of Hamas’ Gaza Strip arsenal, whose technology has been supplied by Iran and produced locally without needing direct shipment.
“Palestinian resistance missiles are the blessings of Iran’s transfer of technology,” the Secretary of the Expediency Discernment Council, Mohsen Rezaei, was quoted as saying by Al-Alam, the Arabic channel of Iran’s state TV. “We need to transfer defensive and military technology to Palestinians so that they can build weapons under the blockade and defend themselves,” he added.
Hamas has fired more than 3,200 rockets into Israel during the recent conflict…”
Sunni Militants Target Iraq’s Two Biggest Dams (abcnews, Aug 4, 2014)
http://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory/sunni-militants-target-iraqs-biggest-dams-24835349
“The militants who have overrun large parts of Iraq are now battling ferociously to capture one of the country’s vital resources, water.
Fighters with the Islamic State group launched a three-pronged attack over the weekend in a drive to capture Haditha Dam, in western Iraq, a complex with six power generators located alongside Iraq’s second-largest reservoir. At the same time, they are fighting to capture Iraq’s largest dam, Mosul Dam, in the north of the country.
Seizing the dams and the large reservoirs they hold would give the militants control over water and electricity that they could use to help build support in the territory they now rule by providing the scarce resources to residents. Or they could sell the resources as a lucrative source of revenue.
They could also use the dams as a weapon of war by flooding terrain downstream to slow Iraq’s military or disrupt life. They have done that with a smaller dam they hold closer to Baghdad. But with the larger dams, there are limits on this tactic since it would also flood areas that the insurgents hold….”
