3. Nigerian Muslim Family Forces Atheist Son Into Mental Ward

LAGOS, Nigeria—A staunchly Muslim family in northern Nigeria has forced their son into a mental hospital for declaring himself an atheist, according to a lawyer and supporters who have started an online campaign to #FreeMubarak.

Chemical engineer Mubarak Bala, 29, alerted people to his plight with tweets allegedly from a smuggled phone that he used in the toilet of Kano city’s Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital, where he says he is being drugged and held against his will in a psychiatric ward.

    This year’s TV specials have to compete with the World Cup and related mayhem, as well as the thrills and spiritual uplift of the global jihad, especially the gory excitement in Syria and Iraq. How could networks hope to entice believers away from that?

    If this stupidity persists, there is no reason why our society deserves to survive. This morning Greens pervert Richard di Natale just had another appearance on “our” ABC morning show babbling hysterically about “catastrophic climate change” and telling us the Great Barrier Reef is being “lost”. Dumbing down has done everything to prepare us for our self-inflicted suicide, which he calls euthanasia.

I wasn’t going to listen to this because I find it hard even looking at him, but the contrast between the Ahmadi spokestard calling the kuffar losers damned for all eternity and the oblivious Trudeau praising the Ahamdis for their love for all is a model of its kind. I hope it comes back to bite him.

    Canadian immigration officials appear to have quietly sped up Syrian refugee applications following months of criticism.

    Almost a year ago, the government promised to bring 1,300 Syrians to Canada by the end of 2014. Refugee advocates have accused Ottawa of failing to live up to that promise, claiming that they know of no privately sponsored refugees who have arrived in Canada as part of the program announced last year.

    “It is unbelievable, because normally we see the overseas processing actually takes two to three years. Now it can be six to eight months. So we are expecting our first arrivals next month,” said Martin Mark, who runs the refugee program for the Catholic Archdiocese of Toronto.

    Citizenship and Immigration Canada has so far not responded to questions about the apparent acceleration in approving claims.
