1. Canada:  Students’ extremist views pushed professor out of U of C

(Misunderstanders of Islam! Again! Amazing how many muslims get islam wrong!)

A former professor at the University of Calgary says he left his tenured position after colleagues refused to respond to his concerns with students spreading radical Muslim views.

Aaron Hughes, a prolific author on religion who holds a PhD on Islamic studies, said he once found a message scrawled in Arabic across his classroom’s chalkboard endorsing Islamic Jihad and Hamas, widely considered a terrorist group by western countries.

Hughes, who is Jewish, said he interpreted the message as anti-Semitic, but he said the university declined to remove the offending student from his class.

It is dismissed as a “crazy conspiracy theory” if one suggests that Western political elites actively support the Islamization of Europe and the Western world. Yet one might argue that this is not a conspiracy theory — or even a theory — merely an observation.

The more Muslims and people who champion Islamic ideas imported into a society, the more Islamic influence there will be in that society. This is basic logic: if you import large numbers of Muslims to a country, you get more Islamization. It’s pretty simple, really.

    Surprising this Islam-critical (even if ever so slightly) academic could find a job at any North American university.

  9. Saudi Arabia will expel non-Muslims who disrespect Ramadan

    Saudi authorities threatened Thursday to expel non-Muslim foreigners who eat, drink or smoke in public during the Muslim fasting month of Ramadan, which begins this weekend.

    The interior ministry urged non-Muslims to “respect the feelings of Muslims by refraining from eating, drinking or smoking in public places, streets and at work.”

    “They are not excused for being non-Muslim,” said the statement carried by SPA state news agency, adding that “labour contracts stipulate respect for Muslim rites.”

    “Those who violate (that)… will face the necessary measures, including terminating work contracts and being deported,” the statement added.

    Saudi beheads two for raping minors

    Saudi authorities beheaded Wednesday two nationals convicted of raping minors in two separate cases, in one of which the culprit killed the victim, the interior ministry said.

    Hamad bin Meshehen al-Rashidi was found guilty of kidnapping and raping a seven-year-old boy before throwing him into a well and killing him, the ministry said in a statement carried by SPA state news agency.

    Rashidi was executed in Qassim province, north of Riyadh.

    In the other case, Issa bin Mohammed al-Rashidi was condemned of kidnapping and raping a minor, and attempting to kidnap another. He was executed in the northern Hail province.

    The beheadings bring to 15 the number of death sentences carried out this year in the ultra-conservative kingdom.

    Saudi Arabia beheaded 78 people in 2013, according to an AFP count.

    Last year, the UN High Commission for Human Rights denounced a “sharp increase in the use of capital punishment” there since 2011.

    According to figures from rights group Amnesty International, the number of executions rose from 27 in 2010, including five, to 82 in 2011, including 28 foreigners.

    In 2012, the number of executions dipped to 79, among them 27 foreigners.

    Rape, murder, apostasy, armed robbery and drug trafficking are all punishable by death under Saudi Arabia’s strict version of Islamic sharia law.

    Hello there…..its me again……..Don Laird…..

    How absent, how intellectually bankrupt, how derelict the media in their duty……now the fruits of their sneering ignorance come to bear, the rotted, sour fruits of their wretched complicity with those whose currency is barbarism, savagery and mass murder on an apocalyptic scale………..

    The Jews and the Gays are the canaries in the coal mine……….the Jews are on the move across Europe, again………Gays are being beaten and hunted by the Mohammadans……..in one form or another, Zyklon-B is being stockpiled……barbed wire being rolled out…..brick by grotesque brick the Architects of Madness and Murder are building anew the crematoria…..the cattle trains creak and groan, eager for their second wind…….the storm clouds that rolled across Europe, nay, the world, scant decades ago, now roll and boil on the horizon……Allah and Muhammad have come to call……..and for this…..for all of this……the most obscene are not the actions of those who live for murder……the obscenity lays in the inaction of those who see clearly, through the clarity of historical perspective, the road that lays ahead……and even with that clarity of vision…..chose a path of cowardice, apathy, ignorance, appeasement and collusion………how wretched we are……

    But not the cattle trains, crematoria, or Zyklon-B. Those aren’t just images to shock and wake the dreamers of today.
    Been there done that. Close enough.
    Filtered thru dear ones who wake screaming in the night, holding them, drenched with their sweat.
