Islam’s Koran: The motivational speech from the 9th circle of hell. Links post 5 for June 25 2014

1. Ok I know this has nothing to do with anything and also violates my own rule of not posting on US internal politics unless it directly pertains to Islam etc. But I watched one bumbling pointless video of John Kerry too many and just had to do this anyway. I apologize to all in advance for this one.

2c. Irish times:

3. UN Watch does a run down on governments which are crushing their own people and the predictable silence by the UN-HRC on the issues. (Its actually quite interesting to watch despots form a circle-jerk that quickly)

4. What we are seeing now in the middle east IS the Islamic reformation that everyone things Islam needs. In fact, its a return to genuine islam much like Jesus was trying to get Jews to go back to orthodox Judaism and like Martin Luthor was trying to force the Catholic church to go back to its roots. The video below is refreshing indeed.

5. North Korea calls U.S. film mocking Kim Jong Un an ‘act of war’

(It is getting harder and harder for North Korea to get any attention these days with islam stealing all the thunder out of his crazy. But we should remember that no one does despot like Kim Jong does despot. He put the Goo in Gulag)

7. The real threat to freedom of speech?

Thank you all. Many of you have sent in a lot of great and important material today. More to come tomorrow. Some interesting things as well. Thanks again.

  1. Muhammadan traditionalists trying to turn a confused Mohammed into the real deal…

Syrian radicals ‘brainwash’ kidnapped Kurdish schoolchildren (CNN, June 25, 2014)
    edition.cnn.com/2014/06/25/world/meast/syria-isis-schoolboys/index.html

“Militants with black masks stand by as 15-year-old Mohammed watches a video of fighters cutting off a man’s head.

“This is jihad for the sake of God,” the men with Kalashnikov rifles say.

Mohammed begins to feel lost, confused. “Does God want me to do jihad?” he wonders.
This is Mohammed’s eyewitness account, told to CNN on Wednesday in a telephone interview.

He was one of the more than 140 Kurdish schoolboys kidnapped in Syria last month by the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) and forced to take daily lessons in radical Islamic theology, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a London-based monitoring group, and local activists say.

Mohammed’s account provides insight into the workings of an organization that has the stated goal of creating a single caliphate across Syria and neighboring Iraq…”

    From the The Thinking Housewife

“I recently received a short video clip – just more than one minute – that has haunted me ever since I saw it more than a week ago. About a dozen men who were guarding a hospital in Aleppo in western Syria were captured by Sunni rebels, hogtied and executed in a barbaric way, all of which is visible in the clip. The men are young, but what struck me is their total composure in facing death by their Islamic captors, something that I cannot get out of my mind. What was the heinous crime for which they were killed? They were professed Christians, and they were living – or should I say dying? – proof of what awaits Syria if the Bashad al-Assad government falls”.

I believe this is what is being referred to

The more evidence that comes out, the more I’m convinced that Obama and Cameron have committed a huge mistake ( War crime) in Syria. Bashar Assad is a the best that is available in that region.

Syria was a relatively free country, where different religious groups could practice their faith openly. Since Western intervention, it has become a nightmare, for Christians in particular.

  3. Note that “Allah akhbar” is the prayer openly invoked without shame or embarrassment. The Islamic chant for executions of non-Muslims is accepted without irony, and not as an abnormality. This is confirmed by the silence of the so-called moderate Muslims majority.

The idea that we are seeing the Muslim equivalent of the protestant reformation had never even occurred to me, but it’s totally obvious once it’s pointed out. The only difference is that Jesus’ teachings were good and Mohammed’s teachings were bad. Try explaining that to the politically correct police. Raymond Ibrahim may be the best speaker on the subject of Islam that I have ever heard.

  5. France to extradite Brussels Jewish museum shooting suspect

A French court on Thursday ordered a man accused of carrying out a deadly shooting at the Jewish Museum in Brussels in May to be extradited to Belgium.

The court in Versailles, west of Paris, said Franco-Algerian Mehdi Nemmouche, 29, who was detained several days after the May 24 attack, should be handed over to Belgian authorities for “killings with a terrorist connotation”.

The decision was in line with a European warrant issued for Nemmouche’s arrest.

The suspect had initially said he was not opposed to his transfer to Belgium as long as he had assurances he would not be sent on to a third country, [ Israel ] but then decided to contest the extradition.

Four people – an Israeli couple, a French woman and Belgian man – were killed in the shooting.

Nemmouche was arrested on May 30 in the southern city of Marseille in a bus coming from Amsterdam via Brussels during a random check by customs officials.

A revolver and Kalashnikov rifle – similar weapons to those used in the shooting – were found in his luggage, as was a portable camera.

It later emerged that Nemmouche, originally from Roubaix in northern France, had spent more than a year in Syria training with “jihadist terrorist groups”, according to Paris public prosecutor François Molins.

  8. Appeal against hijab dismissal rejected at top court in France

France’s top appeals court on Wednesday upheld the dismissal of a Muslim woman who was fired from her job at a privately-run creche for refusing to remove her headscarf while at work, reports dpa.

The Court of Cassation ruled that Fatima Afif’s dismissal from Baby-Loup creche in 2008 was justified under the creche’s internal rules.

The rules of the creche, which is situated in the suburb of Chanteloup-les-Vignes, state that freedom of religion “cannot stand in the way of the principles of secularism and neutrality.”

Wednesday’s ruling by the Court of Cassation was its second on the case in as many years and reflects a sea change in its position.

In March 2013, the court had backed Afif, pointing out that a 2004 law banning the headscarf in state schools did not apply to private institutions and accusing the creche of religious discrimination.

The case was then sent back to Paris Court of Appeal, which rebelled against the Court of Cassation, saying that while religious freedom was a “fundamental principle” the creche had a right to make rules about how people working with children in a multicultural environment should behave.

On Monday, the Court of Cassation agreed with that assessment, saying the creche’s restriction on Afif’s freedom of religion was “justified by the nature of the work undertaken by the association’s employees and proportional to its aims.”

Secularism is a hot-button topic in France, which has the biggest Muslim population in western Europe.

The 2004 ban on the wearing of religious symbols in schools was followed in 2011 by a ban on the wearing of garments that cover the face in public, known as the burqa ban.

Many Muslims view the two laws as an attempt to stigmatize the community.

French politicians say they are necessary to uphold the country’s secular values.
