3. The Obama administrations’ drive to normalize Al-Qaeda and Islamic extremism and terrorism continues apace. Check out this article from a US Ambassador to Egypt.
(CNSNews.com) – The desire of some elements in the Middle East to “eliminate Islamists entirely from the political scene” was complicating the fight against violent extremists, a senior State Department official said on Monday, citing the tendency of some to “conflate Islamists with terrorists.”
The remarks were made in Doha by Assistant Secretary for the Near East Anne Patterson, whose tenure as U.S. ambassador to Egypt was marred by allegations that she was too cozy with the Islamist Muslim Brotherhood before the military ousted it last July.
Manjit Singh Mirgind, 51, dragged Jageer Mirgind into her own kitchen where he slashed at her wrists and stabbed at her eyes screaming ‘I am going to kill you’.
Mrs Mirgind’s children, just three and six years old, watched the horrific attack at their mother’s home in Kensington Gardens, Ilford, East London, and pleaded with their grandfather to stop.
5. Teach British values in every school: Gove moves to keep extremist ideology out of the classroom
The Education Secretary announced that from September, England’s 20,000 primary and secondary schools will be required to actively promote tolerance, fairness, respect for other faiths, and the rule of law and democracy.
He also suggested that Muslim girls wearing the niqab and burqa in schools and colleges risk ‘being silenced’, while a source close to Mr Gove said pupils should not be told women have to wear veils.
Music was banned at one primary, raffles and tombolas were axed from fetes for being unIslamic and boys were forced to change for PE in a store cupboard to preserve their modesty.
One primary spent £32,000 on a five-star trip to Saudi Arabia from which non-Muslim pupils were barred.

#4 We need an interpretation from Rinzai, so vocal to inform that Sikhism is superior to AngloSaxon culture, to comprehend the Sikh mind.
However, if it is valid to kill all those kufar who fraternize with Muslims because it is proven without doubt that it brings destruction to the whole family and nation; then the politicians are living on borrowed time.

Meanwhile, Communism continues unabated.
4/ The commenters on that story demanding to know “why religion is being brought into this” should offer their eyes to that poor woman. It’s not like they need them for anything.
@Perfectchild
Right. Do you actually believe that the anglosaxon culture is free of such acts of violence? It’s most definitely not. Crimes commited in the usa by ”christians” and ”atheists” every day are way worse than the ones commited sporadically in the sikh community. Keep deifying yourself and your ”culture” though, oh by all means, please do.
At least the skihs fight against muslims and they do it well, most of the time. The enlightened westerners on the other hand just bend over, because, well… That’s what being a civilized, first-world, enlightened culture is all about. Enjoy.
” Milions of babies dying because of abortion – AngloSaxon enlightenment
One deranged sikh blinding his daughter, probably because of some trauma caused by muslims – Sikhs are literally Subhumans, oh they are the worst!!! ”
You are a clown, PerfectChild.
At this point, the anglo-saxon culture is the laughing stock of the world, and it’s among one of the world’s worst transgressors, by allowing abortions en masse and enabling muslims. Oh, I know what are you going to say… ”That’s not the anglo-saxon culture, that’s the communists!” Well, if everything that’s wrong in your culture can be just removed from it and blamed on communists, then you should apply the same principle to muslims. The facts speak against them because violence is in the queeran, yet they blame it on the extremists. The facts speak against you because most non-communist (suppposedly) anglo-saxons support abortion and multi-culti garbage, yet you blame it on the communists.
it’s one of the world’s worst transgressors* fixed it…

There were plenty of christian murderers and you are quick to say that they’re not actually christian. You don’t know jack squat about the sikh religion and you are quick to blame every heinous act which occurcs in their community on their religion. Bravo.
Basically, saying that the communists are the problem, and not the anglo-saxons is like saying that the Nazis were the problem, not the germans. Anglo-saxons have succumbed to communist filth just like the Germans succumbed to nazism once. If you’re not expecting the anglo-saxons to be reviled by the likes of me then you’re fooling yourself.
Rinzai,
I’m not sure what you’re talking about. When did I say Christian murderers weren’t Christian? Are you confusing me with someone else perhaps?
I can’t think when I’ve blamed a heinous act on Sikh religion on this site (or anywhere else for that matter) unless it’s the Air India bombing in 1985, which I don’t see how anyone could not blame on religious hatred.
My objection to Sikhs in Canada is first of all an objection to their successful exploitation of the multicultural crap that is wrecking any real sense of Canadian nationhood, secondly to their sheer presence, really, in numbers as a distinct group (among many other distinct groups) that doesn’t exactly blend well, at least so far as I’ve noticed. That’s not a special grievance against Sikhs, almost all of whom I’ve met I’ve enjoyed chatting with, especially outside Canada, where Sikhs were giving me vivid lectures about the evils of Islam years before I even knew what it was.
But did Canada really need large numbers of different sorts of exotic peoples – peoples exotic to the boring old mostly white Canada I grew up in? As opposed to small numbers gradually integrating across generations. I’ve lived my adult life outside Canada, between West and East Asia, and am quite accustomed to ‘exoticism.’ The old folks at home aren’t, though, and what I see in Canadian cities hurts my heart on rare visits back there.

”The commenters on that story demanding to know “why religion is being brought into this” should offer their eyes to that poor woman”
Would you say the same about a christian person who blinded his or her own daughter? If so, then I have no qualms with you. But your post gave out the vibe of something along the lines of ” Sikh religion is of the devil, it causes people to do evil” … I’m just saying how it looks to me, is all. I may be wrong.
Rinzai,
Mea culpa, not what I was trying to say. Any of my own daughters would be lucky to avoid lifelong exile on a bleak inhospitable planet if I learned she was sleeping with the enemy.

June 10th 2014 – IRAQ – Sunni Militants Drive Iraqi Army Out of Mosul –
NYT – BAGHDAD — Iraqi army soldiers abandoned their weapons and fled the northern Iraqi city of Mosul on Tuesday, as Sunni militants freed hundreds of prisoners and seized military bases, police stations, banks, the airport and the provincial governor’s headquarters. The insurgent attacks were among the most audacious assaults on the Iraqi government since the American military withdrawal more than two years ago.
[…]By midday on Tuesday, militants belonging to the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, one of the strongest extremist groups, were in control of much of central and southern Mosul, according to witnesses. Local officials claimed that many of the fighters were jihadists who had swept in from the porous border with Syria,
[…]As hundreds of families fled Mosul, the bodies of slain soldiers, police officers and civilians were seen lying in streets. “They took control of everything, and they are everywhere,” said one soldier

BBC – Iraq militants seize Mosul, causing thousands to flee
Overnight, hundreds of militants from the jihadist Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIS) movement overran the town and much of Nineveh province.
The US has said ISIS threatens not just Iraq, but the entire region.
State department spokeswoman Jen Psaki said the situation was “extremely serious” and that the US supported “a strong, co-ordinated response to push back against this aggression”.
Security sources also told the BBC on Tuesday that fierce fighting had erupted between Iraqi forces and ISIS fighters in a town called Rashad near Kirkuk, south-east of Mosul.
It is not yet clear whether it is only ISIS involved in the Mosul takeover. In Falluja and its province, Anbar, Mr Maliki has clearly alienated many Sunni tribesmen and others, creating fertile soil for the radicals.
Internet images of local youths and even children stoning Iraqi security vehicles as they fled Mosul suggest that the Shia PM is not popular there either.

Thank you Rinzai for your opinion.
Anyone who thinks Sikhism played no part in the honor of this family, pull your hands out of your pants.
Religion is intertwined deeply with such dickbrains who wear their religion on their sleeves. That is the point – he thought he was defending the family honor. In the punjab he would be a hero.
So, I cannot find him guilty. He is a holy man, the 12th guru after the guru book. All that wisdom passed down to him to a merest drop.

Don’t ladle it on here there was no connection.
Perfectchild,
Interesting article about honour violence in Sikh communities, I’m curious to hear Rinzai respond to it.
It doesn’t have to be honour that drives a father into a blind rage over a wayward daughter, though. It can have less to do with shame on the family in the eyes a community than with a more personal sense of betrayal, violated trust or a badly broken heart, or in the case of horizontal collaboration, as a daughter secretly seeing a Nazi in occupied France, say, with another variation of betrayal. That’s a violation of national honour, but I don’t think violated honour would necessarily have to be the motive, or the whole motive, and even if it were, the violence could still be coming from a more private sense of outrage.
That the case of the Sikh grandfather was a blinding as well as a blind rage does suggest it had to do with those eyes of the community, though. I can’t myself imagine a rage in which a father does this barbaric thing to his own daughter. There is definitely something pre-Jesus about it, however many examples can be produced of Christian fathers behaving heinously. It sounds like Guru Nanak was on the right track too.
The link above is to an “honor killing awareness” site. The murder described within the Kurdish-Mohammedan community in England. I think the Sikh was one of the police investigators, or a “community-organizer” (so to speak).
The film is powerful: Banaz: A Love Story ??
“This is a documentary film chronicling an act of overwhelming horror — the honour killing of Banaz Mahmod, a young British woman in suburban London in 2006, killed and “disappeared” by her own family, with the agreement and help of a large section of the Kurdish community, because she tried to choose a life for herself.??
It was a case which shocked the entire world and received enormous international press coverage; but until now, the voice of Banaz herself has never been heard.??
As the result of four painstaking years gaining the trust and co-operation of the extraordinary police officers who solved the case, the film contains heart-breaking footage of Banaz herself, detailing the horrors she was facing and accurately predicting her own brutal murder. The footage, which has never before been seen and has been obtained by the filmmakers for the first time, displays the warmth, beauty and courage of Banaz.”

Where do those ?? marks come from??
the ?? come from the youtube page
– sometimes it is better to copy/paste those texts in “notepad” or in any similar program to “clean” them from preset formatting specifications — question marks and other “attributes” — and then rearrange the paragraphs — after that you can safely copy/paste the outcome in the comment box….
Would TextEdit (Mac) do it?
Mac’s text edit will remove formatting automatically.
Or I could convert everything from YT to plain-text, then “rtf” if desirable later.
So, back to: where did the ?? come from
WordPress can’t handle certain characters that are out of the English alphabet. If you try and post some stuff with Hebrew or Chinese or Turkish characters it replaces each one with a ?
Almost like Macs can’t seem to handle ampersands and whenever I get an email with a ‘&’ in it, it says ‘Amp’ next to it for some reason.
I really like your blog.. very nice colors & theme.
Did you design this website yourself or did you hire someone to do
it for you? Plz answer back as I’m looking to construct my own blog
and would like to know where u got this from.
appreciate it
Don C,
Sikhism devolved away from Guru Nanak as Christianity devolved from Jesus’ teachings. Oh sure, we can still look them up, print a favorite catch-phrase with the Guru dressed and presented the way we wanted, but who writes them in their hearts, refines them with discussion and understanding to be friends of the gurus and thank them for setting them free? No, they want to be sitting under their bows drinking in the good life.
Guru Nanak: “I am neither male nor female, nor am I sexless. I am the Peaceful One, whose form is self-effulgent, powerful radiance.”
Was this the one who stabbed out the eyes of a daughter-in-law adulter?
No. It was a Sikh shirt-sleeve.
Thank goodness the 10th Guru did not make them all hop on one leg.
The 10th Pope…. and the next and the next… now you get it.
Be guru, and regain your brain. Welcome to the moment.
Ok, thanks Eeyore and Martin.
