1. Report: Christian Woman Sentenced to Death in Sudan for Apostasy Will Not Be Freed After All

But late last week there seemed to be a glimmer of hope. Several reputable media outlets reported that Sudanese officials were ready to capitulate and approve Ibrahim’s release. But alas, those reports turned out to be groundless. CNN dropped this bombshell over the weekend:

Sudan’s foreign ministry denied published reports that a woman sentenced to death for refusing to renounce her Christian faith is expected to be released.Foreign ministry spokesman Abubakar Al-Sidiq said that he is not aware of any plans to release Mariam Yahya Ibrahim before a ruling from an appeals court.

Ibrahim was condemned to die by hanging after she declined to profess she is a Muslim, the religion of her father. Sharia law considers her a Muslim and does not recognize her marriage to a Christian. She is unlikely to change her mind despite giving birth in prison, says her husband Daniel Wani, who also is a Christian.

2. Little girl attacked with hammer by at public school in USA

Oakland Unified School District officials say the woman concealed the hammer until she lured the third grader into the restroom and struck her body several times. The girl was taken to Children’s Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. […] The school district identified the woman as Haseemah Diame, a well-known volunteer at the school. Both Diame and her victim are new immigrants from Yemen.

3. U.S. says to work with, fund Palestinian unity government

 WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The United States said on Monday it plans to work with and fund the new Palestinian unity government formed after an agreement by the Fatah and Hamas factions, and Israel immediately voiced its disappointment with the U.S. decision.

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas swore in a unity government on Monday in a reconciliation deal with Hamas Islamists, who advocate Israel’s destruction.

4. Phyllis Chesler’s very interesting article on the newly released US ‘POW’ from Afghanistan, from a woman who was also a captive there.

Now, Bergdahl’s father Robert sports a long, unkempt, flowing beard which suggests that he may also be a convert to Islam. Apparently, Bowe is having difficulty speaking English and so, rather curiously, at a press conference with President Obama, his father addressed his newly liberated son in Arabic, as well as in Pushto or Dari, the languages native to Afghanistan. In a previous video Bergdahl Senior made, he respectfully addressed “those who have cared for our son, as a prisoner and as a guest.”

5. AB 1014: California Democrats Wage War on the Constitution

Two California Democrats in the State Assembly, Nancy Skinner and Das Williams, have authored what may well be the most draconian and flagrantly unconstitutional bill in the state’s, and maybe even the nation’s, history.

AB 1014 provides for the addition to the California Penal Code of provisions involving “gun violence restraining orders” and associated “firearm seizure warrants.”

6. Ofsted blasts Birmingham school at centre of ‘Trojan Horse’ plot for ‘failing to protect pupils’ from extremists as it emerges officials were warned about hardline Islamists trying to take-over schools in 2008

Police, the Government and school inspectors are investigating alleged attempts by radicals to seize control of 20 schools in the city after claims of plot emerged in March.

Ofsted inspectors has reportedly already found one of them was subject to an Islamist takeover and said its ‘work to keep students safe is inadequate’ and its ‘equalities policy is not fit for purpose’.

It has also emerged that Tahir Alam, the alleged Trojan Horse mastermind and chair of governors at a school being probed by Ofsted, has been working as an school inspector himself since 2010.

7. Was the Defector to Taliban’s father claiming the WH for Islam?

“What none of these media is reporting is that the father’s (SGT Bowe Bergdahl’s father Bob) first words at the WH were in Arabic – those words were “bism allah alrahman alraheem” – which means “in the name of Allah the most gracious and most merciful” – these are the opening words of every chapter of the Qur’an except one (the chapter of the sword – the 9th) – by uttering these words on the grounds of the WH, Bergdahl (the father) sanctified the WH and claimed it for Islam. There is no question but POTUS knows this.”
