  1. 7/ “Human Rights Watch takes no position on Sharia law per se…”

Somehow after that I lose interest in anything HRW has to say about human rights abuses in Indonesia. They can’t be much use if they won’t look at the roots of the problem.

  2. The stabbing video looks a pretty obvious fake. The first close up shows a severely shredded shirt with no cuts below, even Zorro would have struggled to do that. Although I haven’t watched it with the sound on the guy hardly flinches when he’s being stabbed. A breeze block, thrown from that height with that force would have driven his head into the ground – it hardly moves. After he’s been stabbed a dozen times his shirt would be running with blood – it isn’t.
My guess is it wasn’t even filmed by the terrorists in Syria, they’d have dragged a couple of unfortunates off the street and REALLY tortured them.
For my money that was done in a tv studio somewhere – MSNBC ?

I look forward to seeing which Muslims Allah loves bestest all awash in crimson glory. No Muslims manufacture popping corn so it is win/win.

100,000 – Still only 1.5% compared to 6 or 7% in Britain. That’s one of the reasons why Ireland is so dhimmified towards Islam. Until the Muslim population reaches 2% you hardly notice it.
Hopefully Ireland will have time to learn from other European nations before the Muslim population reaches flash point.

  5. CAIRO _ EGYPT – Clashes outside Egypt church

CAIRO – Egyptian Islamists clashed with police Tuesday outside a church in Cairo, security officials said, as Christians held prayers to mark the New Year.

The Islamists, with the Muslim Brotherhood movement, had been marching when they clashed with police standing guard outside the church.

The movement of deposed president Mohamed Morsi was designated a terrorist group last week, furthering a crackdown on the Islamists since Morsi’s overthrow in July.

The Islamists have blamed Christians for supporting Morsi’s ouster by the military on July 3, following days of massive protests demanding the Islamist’s resignation.

Police beefed up security around churches on Tuesday in anticipation of any attacks.

A suicide bomber killed more than 20 people, most of them Coptic Christian worshippers, outside a church as they marked the New Year 2011.

Perhaps the British should complete their stupidity by passing a law allowing anybody to move into any house in the country. So, you come home from work and you find all your stuff on the front lawn with a family from the other side of town setting up shop in the house you inherited from your parents – and if you say one word about it you are berated as a hater and arrested on charges of harming community cohesion. Sound like a plan? Hey, they could do the same thing with cars come to think of it…

Why are the British doing this to themselves? Really…why? I wonder if there are any people in Britain who would secretly like things to be back the way they were back when the late Peter O’toole was a young man and all you tended to see in London was Brits with a few foreigners thrown in for variety?

  7. Czech Republic Palestinian envoy dies after Prague residence blast

The Palestinian ambassador to the Czech Republic, Jamal al-Jamal, was killed by a blast in his Prague residence on Wednesday, police said.

Daniel Langer, surgeon at the Prague military hospital to which Jamal was taken, told Czech television the ambassador had suffered devastating “head, belly and chest injuries following an explosion.”

[…]the blast occurred on Wednesday morning as Jamal “was opening an old safe which had been brought from the previous embassy (building) to the new one.”

the news site said the blast was probably caused by “careless manipulation with a dangerous explosive.”

  8. Lebanon arrests head of al-Qaeda linked group that claimed to be behind suicide bomb attack on Iran’s embassy in November

Lebanese authorities have arrested the head of an al-Qaeda linked group that claimed responsibility for the suicide bomb attack on Iran’s embassy in November.

Two U.S. sources said that media reports from Lebanon that Lebanese Armed Forces had recently captured Majid bin Muhammad al-Majid, leader of the Abdullah Azzam Brigades were credible.

The sources did not offer further details on the circumstances in which he was captured.

Lebanese media reported on Tuesday that Majid had been arrested two days ago.

One report said he had lived for years in a Palestinian refugee camp before leaving for Syria a month ago, where he allegedly pledged allegiance to the leader of the Nusrah Front, one of the most extreme and violent Islamic militant groups fighting to oust the government of President Bashar Assad.

According to the Long War Journal, a respected counter-terrorism blog, Majid is among 85 individuals identified on a Saudi government list issued in 2009 as most wanted for their alleged involvement with al-Qaeda.

  9. Chris Jones ‘Why are the British doing this to themselves ‘?
Simple answer – we aren’t as the tone of the comments below this article shows.
Short of outright revolution there is bugger all we can do. Every opinion poll at every election has shown immigration to be THE number on concern of the electorate. Makes no difference which party we elect EVERY government since the fifties has increased inward migration. In the early days they did make gestures by very publicly bringing in laws to cut immigration, but as they slammed shut the front door they quietly opened the back and side doors, so immigration still increased.Joining the EU was the equivalent of opening all the windows too. Now they do not care what we think. They are very content that we have nowhere else to go, and are more interested in wooing their new electorate. Any new political group that tries to take on the established parties is immediately attacked from all sides as ‘fascist’ ‘racist’ ‘neanderthal’ ‘evil’ ‘white supremacist’ …well – you know the score, even supposed ‘right wing’ commentators join in the condemnation. It’s catch 22, if you don’t say anything your happy with it, if you do say anything you’re an evil fascist racist who is in need over re education, and can be safely denounced by all sections of the media because your beliefs are beyond the pale.
We didn’t do this to ourselves. It has been done to us. Some of us suspect it is being done to a purpose – one that doesn’t envisage any future for the British state and people.

  10. AND just to illustrate, here’s a Labour MP, one of a previous wave of immigrants, taking time off from his hols to welcome the latest wave of ‘new Britons’
I know you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover, but my new compatriot looks as if he’ll be of immense benefit to the British economy.
How very reassuring, in a country with around three million unemployed ha assures us that hes come to work. That’s alright then – we’ll tell our kids to stay on at uni ’till they’re 65

  11. Sorry Eeyore, I know this is not a forum, and if I want to write my own column I should start my own blog, but I can’t resist sharing this comment from below the above linked news article: –

and just how much tax does a big issue seller pay! i live in a predominantly black area and last night at 1am some black guy got mugged by two non English speaking white guys right outside my house in peckham, what a flipping happy new year that was. 5 different shades of man ran out of their houses to help some second or third generation others with hundreds of years generations apiece and they one thing all they have in common they did not like what is happening to their country with the uncontrolled mass immigration, i don’t want the riots to kick off again

  12. The Prophet’s Birthday in United States on JAN 14th

Eid Milad ul-Nabi (Mawlid, Milad-un-Nabi) celebrates the Prophet Muhammad’s life. It falls on the 12th or 17th day of the Islamic month of Rabi’ al-awwal. Some Muslims in the United States mark this occasion by fasting or holding communal meals, special prayers or outdoor celebrations.

Some communities hold open-air celebrations or parades. People attending the parades may carry green banners and men and boys wear green clothing or headgear. Girls often wear pink and white clothes. A communal meal may be held or birthday cake may be distributed at the end of the celebrations. The food is often also shared with non-Muslims.

Eid Milad ul-Nabi is not a federal public holiday in the United States. However, some Muslim businesses and organizations may be closed for part or all of the day or offer a reduced level of service. Parades or outdoor celebrations may cause some local disruption to traffic.

Note: Regional customs or moon sightings may cause a variation of the date for Islamic holidays, which begin at sundown the day before the date specified for the holiday. The Islamic calendar is lunar and the days begin at sunset, so there may be one-day error depending on when the New Moon is first seen.

Apparently in Switzerland, they’re quite fond of referendums and use them often Why is that so impossible to imagine in our so-called democratic countries? I’ll bet if they asked people straight-out if they had a desire to be swamped by foreigners and made into a minority in their own country, the majority would vote “no”.

Maybe there has to be a scene like the recent ones in Egypt, with tens of millions of people going into the streets and refusing to go away until their government listens to them. What’ll we call it…let me see…how about “The civilized people’s spring”?

  14. CJ, Trouble is they have this ‘racist’ label so deeply implanted in peoples mind that even people who hate whats happening don’t want to be associated with the knuckle dragging ‘fascists’. Even people who have had their kids murdered because of their race guard their language. Any group like the EDL which protests peacefully gets the full media propaganda machine directed against them, plus the anti fascist league just to make sure that theres trouble to report. They create a stigma so that no ‘decent’ person wants to be associated with them.
Any strong charismatic characters like Tommy Robinson are dealt with by a combination of carrot and stick – beatings, police harassment, threats against themselves and their family, followed by an invitation to learn to ‘love big brother’, ‘come on, join us, all the harassment will stop, your wife and kids will be safe, we’ll even get you a nice job with a charity. Good salary. Of course, if you prefer to go to prison it can be arranged……, but you realise we can’t guarantee your safety…..’..
After years of knocking your head against a brick wall which option would you take.?
And the fact is, although large areas of the country have been totally devastated (in terms of the indigenous population), for a majority it’s still the dolce vita,,the problems only really affect the inner cities and the working class, so they just don’t care. Siding with your own, for a politician can be career ending. Much better for a career politician to parade your anti racist credentials at every opportunity.
There’ll be a tipping point I’m sure, but by the time the majority are as dispossessed as sections of the working class it will be too late for any rational debate or protest.
