1. Guardian journalists could face criminal charges over Edward Snowden leaks

(Funny how informing the public about a crime by government against the people such as grotesque trampling of 4th amendment rights gets criminal charges while actually committing the crime gets none. Some leaks may well be treason however)

Employees of The Guardian newspaper could face criminal charges over their role in publishing secrets leaked by Edward Snowden, Britain’s most senior counter-terrorism officer has signalled.

Cressida Dick, an assistant commissioner at Scotland Yard, confirmed for the first time that detectives were examining whether staff at the newspaper had committed an offence.

She also told MPs that her officers are looking at potential breaches of a specific anti-terrorism law which makes it unlawful to communicate information about British intelligence agents. The offence carries up to 10 years’ imprisonment.

2. Hate preachers to be ‘silenced’ by new anti-terror Asbos to block their bile on the internet

Preachers of hate are to be ‘silenced’ with new anti-terror orders based on a dramatically tightened definition of extremism and attempts to block their bile on the internet.

The Government is to introduce new civil powers, similar to those used against anti-social behaviour, to target extremists who radicalise others.

They are expected to be used to bar people from preaching messages of terror and hate, associating with named individuals thought vulnerable to radicalisation, and from entering specific venues, such as mosques or community halls.

(Here is how this will go. Using freedom of religion, muslims will get to continue inciting to jihad and genocide and hatred of non-muslims, while this law will be used extensively against those who expose these activities. In other words, like the ‘religious symbols laws’ will be another weapon in the islamic arsenal against the West)

3. Syrian rebels take control of Christian town Maaloula

Syrian rebels have once again taken control of parts of Maaloula, an ancient Christian town 60 kilometres from Damascus that lies close to key highways and smuggling routes, activists and residents said on Monday.

4. Congressional Study: Murder Rate Plummets as Gun Ownership Soars

According to the report, the “firearm-related murder and non-negligent homicide” rate was 6.6 per 100,000 Americans in 1993. Following the exponential growth in the number of guns, that rate fell to 3.6 per 100,000 in 2000.

This rate rose from 2004 to 2005 and got as high as 3.9 in 2006 and 2007, but it then resumed falling in 2008, the year the Supreme Court ruled in District of Columbia v. Heller that individual firearm possession is Constitutionally protected—particularly for self-defense. This figure fell to 3.2 per 100,000 by 2011.

5. Early Warning System: A Plan to Halt German Jihadists from Going to Syria

(Now this I don’t get at all. What they need is, a system to stop them from coming back. They should pay them to go)

6. Some details about the trial of one of the Lee Rigby murderers.

(Really, an essay needs to be written about this. How the media and public in Western nations simply are not equipped to handle the mindset of muslims in jihad and so dismiss it as insanity etc. This is a very important issue and deserves proper attention)

-Suicide bombers and gunmen attacked a police intelligence headquarters in the northern Iraqi city of Kirkuk on Wednesday, killing at least six people and wounding dozens more, a health official said.

Security forces and attackers engaged in a two-hour gun battle at the complex where explosions could be heard, police said.

Hospitals in the city, 250 km (155 miles) north of Baghdad, counted six people killed and 47 wounded, said Sabah Amir Ahmed, head of the health directorate in Kirkuk.

No group immediately claimed responsibility for the attack, but Sunni Muslim insurgents linked to al Qaeda have regularly hit targets linked to the Shi’ite-led government

Areas around Kirkuk are strongholds of al Qaeda, according to security officials.

  2. #1 I still don’t know what to say about Snowden, he notified us of a major violation of the constitution (one that seems to be still occurring) yet a lot of what has been released has hurt the US security.

#4 Every time we have an anti-gun President they commission studies on the effects of gun control trying to prove private ownership of firearms causes crime. Every time the study shows crime in general and violent crime in particular are lowered by privately owned weapons.

Since the studies always show that gun control causes crime you have to wonder about the intelligence of the people who continue to insist guns cause crime.

  3. Guardian- Revealing ids of agents in the field must be avoided at all costs. That’s outright murder. How can a half-baked journalist who’s delirious with a “killer” scoop take the time to prevent inadvertent exposures?

  4. #5 Certainly parents who’ve worked a lifetime to become good citizens should get all assistance possible to prevent their crazy offspring from this madness. They’ve earned that service from their government.

By the same token, it’s imperative that we find a means to prevent the return of seasoned, murderous fiends. Friends & family should be enlisted to do their part, as they owe at least that much to their adoptive homeland.

  5. Personally I’d be happy if the paper published the home addresses of the Police.

Btw Cressida Dick is hip deep in the cover up of the Muslim Paedo cases. She ought to be hanged and quartered for treason herself.

  6. Cressida Dick is the Thames Valley Teen Pimp. The uselessnumpty allowed dozens of girls to be turned into chattel slaves. The Guardian should hit her where it hurts. Hard. Repeatedly. Remorselessly. Give her a dose of what she handed out to teenage girls in Oxford.

  7. I have a feeling that British officials will be feeling the horror of what they have been complicit in sometime early in 2014. Just wait. The light will come on and the dirt will be clear for all to see.

And the first web sites to be banned under the new anti hate-preaching law is, “thereligionofpeace, followed by vladtepesblog, followed by anything to do with Geert Wilders, followed by Jihadwatch, followed by Robert Spenser, followed by Pat Condell. Meanwhile, the Jihadists will hide safely under their constitutional rights and their lies, pretty much the same as they did before. Why do all of our leaders always do the stupidest thing they can possibly think of? None of them has even the slightest grasp of the facts…

  9. It is very important that people realise the Rigby killers are not crazy in any way. They are ideologues plain and simple and this makes them more dangerous than a crazy guy as they have ‘their’ logic to help them. Everyday it is evident it was a terrorist attack and yet they are not getting charged!!!!!!!!!!

  10. NSA tracking cellphone locations worldwide, Snowden documents show

The National Security Agency is gathering nearly 5 billion records a day on the whereabouts of cellphones around the world, according to top-secret documents and interviews with U.S. intelligence officials, enabling the agency to track the movements of individuals — and map their relationships — in ways that would have been previously unimaginable.

[…]Analysts can find cellphones anywhere in the world, retrace their movements and expose hidden relationships among the people using them.

[…]People who value their privacy can encrypt their e-mails and disguise their online identities, but “the only way to hide your location is to disconnect from our modern communication system and live in a cave.”

[…]The location programs have brought in such volumes of information, according to a May 2012 internal NSA briefing, that they are “outpacing our ability to ingest, process and store” data. In the ensuing year and a half, the NSA has been transitioning to a processing system that provided it with greater capacity.

  11. United Arab Emirates- Twelve-year-old given six month jail sentence for getting his Ethiopian housemaid pregnant is acquitted

A 12-year-old boy accused of having consensual sex with his family’s housemaid and impregnating her has been acquitted.

The Emirati schoolboy and the 28-year-old Ethiopian maid were said to have indulged in two sexual encounters at his family’s home in Ajman,

Prosecutors accused the pair of having sex outside of marriage

The dalliances, they said, resulted in the maid falling pregnant. Medical reports confirmed the 28-year-old is due to give birth in February.

The boy has been acquitted in the Appeal Court, after the Ajman Court of First Instance condemned him and the Ethiopian maid each to six months behind bars.

  12. Muslim impregnates mentally-ill sister twice

The girl already has a baby with him

A 21-year-old Egyptian man is accused of raping his mentally-challenged sister over three years, reported Al Youm Al Sabea’a newspaper.

During this time she gave birth to a baby boy, and is pregnant again, the paper added.

The child lives with the family comprising the accused, his sister and their mother in a one-room apartment in Al Abour city.

The mom said that she was aware of her unwell daughter being raped but she was helpless as she had to go out to feed the family. She is a vegetable vendor.

The mother also confessed that she had decided to do away with the baby once her daughter delivered, but she could not as the girl became too attached to the baby.

She told families in the neighbourhood that the baby was their relative’s.

However, recently, when the girl became pregnant again, she was spotted by residents outside who alerted police.

The accused has been arrested and referred to Public Prosecution.

  13. Muslim rapes 10 of his family; films them

He locked his sister in her home and repeatedly abused her

An Egyptian man is facing trial on charges of raping at least 10 women of his family.

The incident came to light when his sister called the police after she was locked in her house and repeatedly raped by him at gun point, reported Al Youm Sabea’a.

According to police reports, he visited his sister on the pretext of checking upon his old mother, who stays with her.

But, the 40-year-old accused continued staying there for a few days, and locked his sister in the house and raped her.

After a few days, when she got a chance to be alone, she dialed the police who broke into the house and rescued her and arrested the accused.

And then followed the gory details. His sister-in-law [wife’s sister] came forward to say how she was raped by him and how he had filmed the act and threatened her to make the picture public if she were to tell anyone about it.

The woman also alleged that her two young daughters were raped by him.

Later, many more women of his family reported to police about being raped by him and claimed that they had kept quiet fearing his backlash and fearing for their reputation.

  14. #6 The media and politicians that aren’t theists are incapable of understanding the religious motives to the crime, for this reason they will continue to refuse to believe that Islam is the problem, not radical Islam but Islam.
