Local police official Shaukat Ali Shah said the Taliban attackers had driven an explosive-laden vehicle at the compound early Thursday, causing large-scale damage.
(I would say encouraging instead of disturbing. The fact is when you see people dressed in hard-core Islamic garb it would difficult to distinguish it from seeing people goose-stepping around in an SS uniform. The goals, extermination of Jews and subjugation of all other peoples to Islamic law are identical in all the ways that matter for both ideologies. In fact, it is people who are OK with this which we should find disturbing. Certainly no one should be beating up teen girls on the street if that is what happened here. But at the same time remember, in Canada dressing like a 7th century marauding pirate is not mandatory. People should expect consequences for a uniform they choose to wear.
