I thought I was the only person who’d independently come to the conclusion that McCarthy was right.
The general gist of it wasn’t news to me. I’d read some post glasnost books that had info from the kgb Archives and ex kgb agents – and there have been interviews and lectures from ex kgb on youtube for years.
It’s not shocking that they did it (of course we did it too) or the extent of it. What’s shocking is that they were so ham fisted yet we were even more dim witted.
However- how far up the governement it went was still a shock.
Look for lectures by Yuri Bezmenov on youtube (I’m sure they’ve been posted here before)- he was a kgb agent masquerading as a press agent and goes into great detail about the tricks they used to wrap western journalists around their fingers.
One guy, in order to get into german intelligence during WWII, pretended to defect then set up, interrogate and then kill 10 other Russian spies so the Nazis would trust him. It was a plan approved by Moscow. They told him who the other ten spies were so he could capture them.
That kinda makes marrying a jew for a few years seem like a cakewalk, doesn’t it.
No there is a lot of people who know he was right, I have the advantage of growing up when people were willing to talk about how the communists were trying to take over, I learned the truth the left managed to distort things.
