I read in one of the memoirs of Reagans advisors, that Pres Reagain sincerely advising Gen Galtieri that he was well acquainted with Margaret Thatcher, and it would be best for Galtieri’s political survival, as well as well as the well being of Argentine troops in the Falklands, to leave those tiny isles, asap.
She was a conviction politician, a dying breed who have a set of values and stick to them not like the current crop of professional politicians interested only in their own careers.I didn’t always like her politics, especially her vendetta against the miners, but she had integrity and a sense of pride in her country.
She was one of the old breed Brits, people like her lead Britain when Britain was the leader of the world, naturally the left hates her and her memory, she is part of history now, history that preserved freedom. Can we betray her memory by letting the left and Islam destroy what she fought so hard to preserve\?
