  1. Bilingual Muslim children need to learn and be well versed in standard English to follow the National Curriculum and go for higher studies and research to serve humanity. At the same time they need to learn Arabic, Urdu and other community languages to keep in touch with their cultural heritage and enjoy the beauty of their literature and poetry.

    A Muslim is a citizen of this tiny global village. he/she does not want to become notoriously monolingual Brits. British schooling has been forcing them to become notoriously monolingual Brits. It is a fact that British schooling is the home of institutional racism and British teachers are chicken racist. It is a crime against humanity to deprive a child form his/her mother tongue. Arabic is a religious language and all Muslims must learn and be well versed in Arabic to recite and understand the Holy Quran.Ed is very proud of his comprehensive school because students were speaking 60 languages. After leaving school, all those who spoke different languages, could only speak English because there is no arrangement for them to learn their own languages at school. Even teachers discouraged them to speak their language in school. British schooling regards bilingualism as a problem and not an asset. Sadiq was the product of British schooling. He is very proud that he is unable to speak, read and write Urdu language. I do not blame him. It is the fault of the school.

    Legally, the state has an obligation to respect the rights of parents to ensure that ‘education and teaching(of their children) is in conformity with their own religious and philosophical convictions.’
    The schools must satisfy the spiritual, moral, social,and cultural needs of Muslim pupils. State schools with non-Muslim monolingual teachers are not in a position to satisfy their needs and demands. Bilingual Muslim children need state funded Muslim schools with bilingual Muslim teachers as role models during their developmental periods. There is no place for a non-Muslim child or a teacher in a Muslim school.

    Oh, really? Christians are not permitted to practice Christianity in schools, what makes you think Muslims should be allowed? State funded schools? What, Americans pay for Muslim schools? You must be kidding!

    Hey, I want Christmas trees in schools and every public arena. I want nativities and Christian prayer, as well. That is extremely important to Christianity.

    You people always want special privileges that others do not have and will not get. If our systems are not in compliance with your requirements, why do Muslims come here? Oh, they expect and demand we accommodate every Muslim wish.

    They inconvenience us by blocking streets and sidewalks with your prayer. Their call to prayer is extremely annoying. Companies sneak cruely murdered animals into our food chain___halal. They force residents out of their neighborhoods as soon as a mosque is built. They even have killed some of our dogs to force them out. Then they tell them, “Get out, this is our neighborhood.”

    There’s an old saying, “When in Rome, do as the Romans do.” Muslims don’t know what that means.

    What they really are doing is trying to take over our country. We know exactly what is going on. Americans didn’t invite them into our country. It was our traitorous legislators.

    And, you from London have no business interfering into our affairs. If the US doesn’t satisfy Muslim needs, they should go back to where they came from. Go to where they can practice whatever they want…but Heaven help us, make it not the United States, Canada, or any of the First World countries, including the UK.

Somali society is essentially a clan based nomadic society, with highway robbery playing a pivotal role in Somali economy – if one can call it that. Most travellers to that part of the world have written of the contempt and hostility of other East Africans, such as Kenyans and Ethiopians, for Somalis.

    Each nation is an ongoing experiment, and its people are the elements of that experiment. By any measure, Somalis have shown themselves to be savages.

  7. Whenever there is a monoculture there is a reason. Somalia is 99% Muslim, with one embattled Christian community still surviving.

    Looking at all the real trouble spots in the world it’s not difficult to see a patter which suggests that Muslims make friends wherever they go.

  8. Cassandra there is almost never a moral equivalence to both sides in a conflict. Usually one side has gone too far down the rabbit hole of xenophobia and incitement. In other words, usually there is an aggressor and there is a defender.

    Time will come when civil war envelopes all of us and I would like to think that others will not think the same about us.

Muslim schools do well because of their Islamic ethos and a focus on traditional discipline and teaching methods. They teach children what is right and what is wrong, because young children need structured guidance.

    A man is a product of his culture, language and faith. State funded Muslim schools with bilingual Muslim teachers would help bilingual Muslim children to develop their cultural, linguistic and spiritual identities before they are exposed to other cultures and faiths. Without Muslim schools, Muslim children are not going to develop their Islamic identity, crucial for their mental, social, emotional and personality development. We have already lost four generations and fifth one is in the process of losing its cultural, linguistic and spiritual Identities.

    I have been campaigning for state funded Muslim schools for the last 45 years because British schooling is the home of institutional racism and British teachers are chicken racists. British teachers are not role models for Muslim children during their developmental periods.

    None of the British Muslims convicted following the riots in Bradford and Oldham in 2001 or any of those linked to the London bombings had been to Islamic schools. An American Think Tank studied the educational back ground of 300 Jihadists; none of them were educated in Pakistani Madrasas. They were all Western educated by non-Muslim teachers. Bilingual Muslim children need bilingual Muslim teachers as role models. A Cambridge University study found that single-sex classes could make a big difference for boys. They perform better in single-sex classes. The research is promising because male students in the study saw noticeable gains in the grades. The study confirms the Islamic notion that academic achievement is better in single-sex classes.

    I set up the first Muslim school in London in 1981 and now there are about 188 Muslim schools and only 18 are state funded. I would like to see each and every Muslim child in a state funded Muslim school with bilingual Muslim teachers as role model. There is no place for a non-Muslim child or a teacher in a Muslim school.

    Western media and politicians have been trying their best to propagate against Muslim schools. Muslim schools are even called Osama bin Laden Academies by a Teaching Union. Only less than 5% of Muslim children attend Muslim schools while more than 95% are in state schools to be mis-educated and de-educated by non-Muslim monolingual teachers.

    The demand for state funded Muslim schools is in accordance with the law of the land. Muslim community is not asking for any favour. Muslim community pays all sorts of taxes and is less burden on social services.

    Church leaders say it is no longer “appropriate” for them to run Sacred Heart RC Primary School which has just six Christian pupils. The school in Blackburn, Lances, could be handed to the nearby Masjid-e-Tauheedul mosque.

    Harry Devonport of Blackburn with Darwin Council Children’s Services, said the decision to abandon the school was made by the Diocese of Salford. Diocese education director Geraldine Bradbury said: “We have never experienced a change to this extent before. We would not be serving the local community by insisting that we run the school. It brings things like having a Catholic head teacher and devoting 10% of the timetable to RE.”It would be wrong of us to insist on putting a school community through that.”
