It’s all baloney. I’ve had to do similar courses in the past. It’s common in the work place these days.
For starters it’s just a Leftist form of job creation. The courses are long-winded, patronising and would be insulting even to infants. Secondly, a lot of it (not all of it) is based on lies.
Whilst I appreciate good manners to all, and an understanding of different people, I do not wished to be told that diversity is the answer to everything, especially when some of the ‘diversities’ are downright bizarre, or immoral. It’s a subtle form of brainwashing, and quite frankly a waste of money. What is needed in the job market is a suitable vocational skill, not the ability to be able to demonstrate political correctness or teach it to others.
So many jobs these days are occupied by buffoons, time-wasters and self-righteous jerks. Unfortunately some of them are very well paid, but on a positive note are usually the first to get the chop when companies are forced to downsize.
Economies are not mastered by paying parrots to spout political tirade, but by people doing something useful, or by making something that other people wish to buy.
I doubt if any private employer would take a qualification like this seriously. If I were hiring people to do a job, I would want them to be able to do something that makes me money. If you want a local government job then maybe they would see this tripe as something useful to have, but I see it as just another broken string to a cardboard bow!
The diploma holders can be assured a highly paid job as Diversity or Equal opportunity managers.
I’m afraid to say that this sort of stuff is compulsory in the workplace these days. There’s no getting away from it, and we even have to ask interviewees about this rubbish during the course of an interview. If they don’t make the right noises, we’re not allowed to employ them. I don’t believe in it and I don’t want them to, but you have to act out this ridiculous charade just to avoid getting sacked. This is one of the reasons the ordinary people are revolting, right now it is peaceful but if the politicians don’t listen to the very legitimate complaints they won’t remain peaceful.
