I’m just finishing Michael’s book Heresy! and he covers this topic in one of the chapters.
He’s right, and it just mirrors what I’ve been thinking. When people tell me they’re upset about sex selective abortion, they don’t quite know what to say when I tell them I don’t care about it.
So they ask why, and I explain that it’s all about the mother and her choice, and since she can choose for whatever reason, what is there to complain about? In any case, as far as I’m concerned abortion is evil, so whatever people tell themselves doesn’t matter. It’s still the taking of a life, whether that ‘clump of cells’ is male, female or whatever.
@ nilk……The difference is that only female embryos are being aborted. It isn’t just a a matter of an unwanted embryo of either gender being aborted , it is gender specific. It is gendercide of females. Unlike you, I care about females being selectively aborted. There is a huge difference between abortion and gender selective abortion which you are ignoring because of your anger about women being granted a choice about their own bodies. This is not about their bodies, this is about a preference for males. Grow the hell up! And while you’re at it, ask China how their preference for males is working out for them.
