Saudi security personnel late Dec. 17 dispersed crowds of Shia and Sunnis after fights broke out in the western city of Medina during the Shiite holy day of Ashura, Shiite sources said, Reuters reported. Shiite website Rasid.com said Sunnis attacked several Shia with stones, and a local Shiite resident confirmed the incident, saying it occurred near the Quba Mosque.
This is good news, a Moslem civil war would be good news for us if it happens. And this shows why Saudi wants us to stop the Iranian nuclear program.
Innocent Richard, don’t be in fool’s paradise. Even two brothers who live with each other, may be differ on a minor issue, but it doesn’t mean that a war between them will start. Be raelistic.
During the Crusades the Sunni and the Shi spent almost as much time fighting each other as they did fighting the Europeans, and Saudi is scared enough over the possibility of Iran getting nuclear weapons that they are begging the US to bomb the Iranian plants. What you are ignoring is the aspect of which group is going to control Islam? That is what the clashes are all about, currently the Sunni control most of Islam and are the big boys on the block, the Shi want to take control of the power structures of Islam and be the big boys on the block. I am not being naive or innocent, I am looking at what has happened in history and what is currently happening and trying to figure what will happen. FYI, a lot of respected Middle Eastern experts are saying there is a 40 to 60% chance there will be a Moslem civil war.
