Iran Warns about Spread of Iranophobia, Islamophobia in Canada TEHRAN (FNA)- The Iranian Foreign Ministry in a statement warned the country’s nationals about rising waves of Iranophobia and Islamophobia in Canada, and stressed that the Canadian police are either unwilling or incapable of investigating crimes against Iranian nationals. |

“Anti-Islam moves and Iranophobia have remarkably grown in Canada and at times affected the behavior of the government and non-government authorities,” the statement said on Sunday.
The statement further pointed to the different cases of detention and expulsion of Iranian nationals by the Canadian government under different pretexts, and reminded that the Canadian government authorities have in many cases barred the Iranian nationals from the right of access to fair court trials.
The statement also pointed to the weak performance of the Canadian police in probing different cases of murder against the Iranian nationals, and stressed, “The performance of the Canadian police has shown that they lack the necessary will or ability to probe into the crimes committed against the Iranians residing in that country.”
The Iranian Foreign Ministry had earlier today urged the Canadian government to launch serious investigations into the murder case of an Iranian teenager in Ottawa, and further warned the Iranian nationals against making unnecessary trips to Canada.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry “has sent an official note to the Canadian foreign ministry and has called for the prosecution and punishment of perpetrators” in the murder case of the Iranian teenager, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ramin Mehman-Parast said today.
Reiterating that the Canadian government is responsible for the prosecution and punishment of the culprits in the murder, he stressed, “The (Canadian) government should account for its undertakings.”
Mehman-Parast also underlined that the murder of Iranian teenager, Yazdan Qiasi, signifies the lack of security in Canada as earlier mentioned by the Iranian foreign ministry.
The 16-year-old Iranian teenager died on Monday, December 6. Witnesses said he was dumped from a car on Booth Street in Ottawa, bleeding from an apparent gunshot wound to the chest. He was pronounced dead later in hospital.
On Friday, the Canadian police said that the investigation into Ghiasi’s death is ongoing despite the arrest of three men charged in connection with the incident.

People should buy Sabra Brand humus if they think it is delicious. They should avoid it if they don’t like it. Same goes with any other product. Personally, I buy that stuff usually 4 at a time because I like it so much. Its the perfect food for when I am editing video and want to eat healthy and tasty without stopping to look. (Who has time to eat?)
I do get your point though, perhaps some of us should try and offset idiots by actually pro active buying of Israeli or Jewish made goods. I think that will start to happen because Jews world wide, slowly, are beginning to feel threatened and the fastest way to consolidate a group of people is attack them. Even so, in my perfect world, people buy or not buy based on what they think is good value and good product. Even the South African boycott did not work the way people think it did.
I buy the Sabra products too. The garlic one and also the chilli paste centre one, those are my favorite and go well with the thin pita bread.
