  1. Sickening, however any one in the group of onlookers weather cheering or watching in silent horror, knows in the back of their mind it could easily have been them. Under Sharia Law it’s the Ayatollahs, the Religious police, the Imams, and sometimes the dictatorial government that make up the rules as they go along, meting out horrific punishment at their whim. Don’t waste your time looking for due process, habeas corpus, or an open public court under Sharia Law.

  2. I totally agree with all that the previous commenter said, but I must ask how sinless are we? While we do not hang people in public in such horrific fashion for just being gay, or commiting adultery, whatever that means over there, do we not allow thousands of unborn children to be murdered every year in this country for nothing more than retro active birth control? I grieve for the men in the video, they did nothing to deserve that fate, but I grieve for our selective moral blindness as well. I guess as long as we are not faced with it as graphically as the execution video shows us, then it is “ok” because taking the life of an unborn baby is a choice. Some choice.

If we ever want to win this horrible war being waged against us by immoral 10th century barbarians, then we had better make sure we have some “Moral” high ground to stand on when it comes to the most important of all the things we hold dear as a culture, the respect for human life. If we don’t have that, what does the rest matter? Our howls of protest are merely salve to cover our guilty conciences.

  3. I hope the Iranian people will rise up again against this vile regime and I hope they will be successful.

  4. This reminds me of the lynching of black innocent US citizens by the Ku Klux Klan !!!!!!!

  5. Rudi:

    2 differences..

    1. The KKK stopped doing it a long time ago.

    2. The total number of people the Klan killed do not add up to the number murdered by Muslims pretty much every hour of every day. Look it up.

I might add, that if it was wrong for the KKK, that doesn’t make it right for Iran.

    Moral relativists are intellectually bankrupt.

  6. @ Eeyore

KKK is not that long ago my friend. There are still lynchers walking around as free men. Oh, and let’s not forget when Saddam Hussein was hanged in the same manner as shown in the video, nobody bothered to protest.

Any way, the western world claims a higher moral ground, but the only reason we have some interest for the Middle East lies in the fact that we are all oil-addicts. Furthermore the USA, can’t claim any higher moral ground as capital puinishment is still being done in the US too, you know. And, for example, gay people are still considered second class citizens in the USA as they are in a lot of Muslim-countries. Many American Christians show amazing similarities with the more fundamental Muslims.

By the way, let’s not forget that the fundamental Muslim terrorist are the byproduct of the cold war. The CIA selected and schooled the small fundamental-Muslim groops in Afghanistan and (ab)used as them as “freedom-fighters”. After the Cold War Afghanistan was left on it’s own, it’s society in shambles and generations of people knowing nothing but war and bloodshed, these fundamental groops took over government. Iran and Iraq were both armed by the USA during the Cold War, in order to “divide and rule” and protect Israel, basically another American state in the Middle East.

Your remark “Moral relativists are intellectually bankrupt” is so out of place, you are relativist when it comes to the bloodshed your own country instills yet you tend to magnify the violence of your “enemy”.

One needs to recognize propaganda building up to a new war against Iran for what it is !!!!!!!!!!

  7. Actually no Rudy, moral relativism is even more bankrupt than Eeoyre lets on. Your whole argument is built on completely misunderstanding the evidence, and is devoid of sound reason. While it is true that the US does indeed carry out capital punishment, US law requires an immediate appeal of any conviction that imposes a death sentence. That is a lot more than what can be said for the men youjust watched hang. Even Saddam Hussien was givena trial. What did these guys get?

Terrorism is about as closely related to the cold war, as trout are to billy goats. We would be faced with this spectre of islamic violence no matter what we did in the past. So with all due respect, you either are simply ignorant of the facts, or are intentionally misleading. For everyones sake, I hope it is the first option.

  8. I hope the iranian people wake up and hang all the mullahs in this way – maybe in the holy city of mashhad.
