Coren is truly one of my favourite TV regulars. An intellectual and with a great deal of integrity even though I do not agree with all his views. I certainly do agree with this:

Interesting debate, but shot through with contradictions.
If the Mosque (hate centre), is a threat, and inappropriate at Ground Zero, isn’t that a tacit admission that it’s inappropriate anywhere, that Islam is a danger to the USA, UK, and Europe, and responsible for 9/11 et al? Doesn’t that mean it’s dangerous to allow Mosques to be built anywhere? Or is it ok to plan the downfall of civilization as long as you’re not on the “hallowed” ground? Irrational argument.
In the interests of “rights”, you’ve got to accommodate a social system that seeks your destruction? This is insanity, maybe democracy just has a short shelf life.
Timothy McVeigh, he demolished the quissling’s argument about him, but failed to pursue it. One dubious example versus tens of thousands of attacks carried out in the name of Islam. It would have been interesting to see him put on the spot, to face the reality of his lies.
Oh well maybe next time.

A mosque cannot be compared to a church of a temple. A mosque is islamic territory and has many functions. It is a court of law (sharia) a school (islamic school as the islamic schools in Pakistan), it is a community centre and also a military center.
The ground is not entirely owned bij the people who want it built and the builing of a mosque at that location IS contempt of America, of democracy and of the West. In Holland moslims were driving their cars and hooting their horns in joy.

The building of that mosque is not a gesture of peace, it is a declaration of future conquest and war.
