Clearly the death threats got to her. What a shame. No matter though, I still think the rest of us can make this work every year. For freedom of speech, for freedom from irrational and violent religious authority, for freedom from arbitrary and never ending-increasing limits to our speech, thoughts and artistic expression, may Everyone draw Mohamed day become a global free world phenomenon. Maybe in the future, with floats, parades, gay people, women in skimpy clothing, pork stands every 100 feet and a clear statement of, “we have our own values. You are not obliged to participate. But you may not impose yours on us.

Eeyore for Vlad and a H/T to the good Baron for this video:

Please feel free to comment on what the Muslims at the end of this clip say. The logic is so poor and insulting that really this could be a lot of fun.

  1. Funny that nobody knows how to correctly spell the name of such an important dude as Muhamad/Mohammed/Mohamed/Muhammed. Including Muslims who are basically forced to name their first born like that.

Man, religion is such a joke. Believing in magic and a Freddie Krueger like universe, mutilation of children, demanding respect for all that crap, death threats to people who don’t… It’s time people grow up. Religion is institutionalized superstition. Every religion. Magic, ghosts, an afterlife, djeez… Get real. Science and technology make the world. Knowledge. Not fairytales made up by schizophrenic people with voices in their heads thinking they are part of a master plan. Religion hurts the world.

  2. Religion isn’t a joke, THIS religion is a joke. Acually no, it is far worse than that. What disapoints me, is her [ the artists ] appeasing attitude. Muslims need to be shown their religion is not above being mocked aod laughed at. They have to be shown that we will not be intimidated by threats and violence. Christianity is hardly free of embarrasing episodes, but for the most part, that is ancient history. If Islam really is a religion of peace, then maybe they should come out of the 10th century and start acting like a peaceful religion. Don’t hold your breath for that to happen anytime soon though.
