South Korea: North Korea Responsible For Warship Sinking – Officials

May 18, 2010 STRATFOR

South Korea will formally blame North Korea for launching a torpedo that sank a South Korean warship March 26, killing 46 sailors, The Washington Post reported May 18, citing unnamed U.S. and East Asian officials. South Korea concluded that the warship was sunk by a torpedo identical to a North Korean torpedo previously obtained by South Korea after investigators from Australia, Britain, Sweden and the United States helped piece together portions of the sunken ship.
