Canada: Airports, Airlines On Alert After Warnings

Canada’s airports and airlines are on high alert Jan. 12 after warnings from intelligence sources, AFP reported, citing a report from Canada’s CTV. Citing unnamed sources, CTV reported that British and U.S. intelligence are concerned that another 20 militants trained in Yemen are headed to North America and hoping to enter the United States from Canada. This potential threat was discussed with Canada’s prime minister and his security advisers. AFP reported that Canadian intelligence officials had evidence that a group was attempting to enter Canada to attack the United States.
