Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.
This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

**New intelligence suggests a specific course of action concerning use of Substack. For a variety of reasons, who owns it, and who owns the ONLY company that monetizes authors on Substack, the question for us has always been, ‘Why is Substack allowed to exist?” I believe the answer is now known to us. It collects data on you and who you are connected to. Substack does have the best writers out there for counter-narrative views, and does allow the authors to make money at it. Which is suspicious already. But the reasons were made known to us by a Cyber-security professional. The solution seems to be to use a dedicated browser, ONLY for substack. There are many good ones out there now. So downloading another browser is easy. Get the DuckduckGo go one, or Brave or one of many others and use it ONLY for substack and clear cookies after use. Like washing your plate after you eat.

To varying degrees youth lives atmospherically. The degree of it depends on imagination, sensitivity and other unmeasurable metrics. Conversely, adults live with diminishing atmosphere as they age, with the brutality of reality revealing itself with time.
Fashion is an example of living atmospherically. I wear therefore I am. Take this wherever you like. Music that you truly enjoy is a condensed form of atmosphere.
I have lived in the same neighborhood for almost ten years. There are familiar faces. One of them is a young man I see walking to the bus stop. He is about twenty years old and is very tall and has long blonde hair. There was always something about him that struck me as peculiar, though I couldn’t place my finger on what it was. Last week I saw him again standing at the bus stop. He was wearing a long blue dress and a bit of makeup. He wore therefore he was.
Problems begin once the atmosphere begins to decay. It is held up by scaffolding that is subjected to enormous stresses. These stresses come from friction caused by intrusions of things that compete with the fiction in our heads. Yes, friction on fiction.
As I say, it is almost as if our time is defined by this phenomenon to the degree that we can capture it by calling it the Age of Atmosphere. In financial terms George Soros identified this as the Imperial Circle. This is where a real power center is first identified, and then weaker elements of the periphery of this circle are targeted for exploitation of their vulnerabilities.
Dialectical examples abound on these pages every day. Call them the liquification of reality or propaganda–they amount to the same attempt to hold aloft a narrative that is, by definition, fiction. Put another way, it is the gamble to form new reality using fiction. The violence of the failure of the scaffolding that hold the lies up is directly proportionate to the duration and innate absurdity of the atmosphere being levitated. You wear therefore you are until a stranger points and laughs in your face.
Nicolae Ceausescu wore a dress, as do central planners, as do fiat currencies, as does anthropogenic climate change, as do those who defend their purchases to their own death. The final verdict, invariably, is that reality does not give a hoot the stories you tell yourself, nor the stories you tell to others.
