Reader’s Links for February 5th, 2026

Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

For those interested, please check out https://vladtepesblog.substack.com/ as an another avenue of expression. The Substack is a different project in a sense. It is older videos that in the light of subsequent events, look different or of increased importance, Check it out now and again if you like.

The Utrecht police officer who was recorded kicking and beating two women at the Hoog Catharijne shopping center last week is now in hiding with his family, sources told the Telegraaf and RTV Utrecht. According to them, the cop is receiving threats and his personal details have been shared online.
Last Monday, the officer arrested a 23-year-old woman from De Koog in Texel at the Utrecht shopping center. The arrest was recorded and shared online. According to the police, the officer responded to an incident involving around 20 people and arrested the woman for verbally abusing him.
The cop led the woman away by the arm. A second woman followed, filming the officer. At one point, the cop turned around and kicked the second woman. The first woman pulled away from him, and he struck her with his baton.
Footage of the arrest was widely shared on social media and caused a great deal of unrest. The women involved were wearing veils, adding a layer of potential racism to the violent arrest.
The officer involved started receiving threats shortly after the arrest. He’s also being doxed, with people sharing his personal information online. According to the Telegraaf and RTV Utrecht’s sources, the threats are severe enough that the man and his family have been moved to a safe location.
The police are investigating whether the officer used appropriate force in the arrest. The two women have pressed charges against the officer.

    • Patriots Owner Robert Kraft Unveils New Super Bowl Ad Aimed at Combating Jew-Hatred

[…]Kraft founded the Foundation to Combat Antisemitism in 2019 in response to the rise of antisemitism and all forms of hate across the US. The Blue Square was first introduced in 2023 as a symbol for expressing solidarity with the Jewish community and Kraft launched the Blue Square Alliance Against Hate in 2025.

A survey from the Blue Square Alliance Against Hate released in December 2025 revealed that Americans are displaying more antisemitism than in the past, but are also “less aware antisemitism exists, less likely to think it’s important enough to fight, and less likely to stand up to prejudice against Jews when they encounter it.”

      …..

A small group of BU undergrads visit me once a week. They’re sophomores and juniors with a minimum 3.6 GPA. (That’s because the screening prof at BU is on the Phi Beta Kappa board. They’ve also got to pass a security check, etc. But no covid nose r@pe.)

Here they’ve got a safe space on the periphery with someone modestly plugged in.

Boston Univ. is nowhere near as bad as H and MIT. None of them complain; they simply do not reveal their identity openly. They avoid courses and situations that might be troublesome.

      Nothing wrong with that.
