Reader’s Links for January 25th, 2026

Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

For those interested, please check out https://vladtepesblog.substack.com/ as an another avenue of expression. The Substack is a different project in a sense. It is older videos that in the light of subsequent events, look different or of increased importance, Check it out now and again if you like.

  1. Stabby Turks are stabby:

6 people stabbed following pro-Kurdish demonstration in Antwerp
    https://www.vrt.be/vrtnws/en/2026/01/23/6-people-stabbed-at-pro-kurdish-demonstration-in-antwerp/
6 people were injured after they were stabbed on the Operaplein in the centre of Antwerp on Thursday evening. 2 of those injured were taken to hospital in a critical condition. However, their condition is now no longer life-threatening. 4 suspects were arrested shortly after the stabbing. Their homes have been searched and all 4 have been questioned.
The stabbing happened on Antwerp’s Operaplein where a pro-Kurdish demonstration was taking place. 4 of the six people injured were found on the Operaplein, the other 2 were found nearby. The emergency services responded in numbers and provided first aid at the scene and transported the victims to hospital.
Between 200 and 300 people were at the demonstration that had started off peacefully. Those taking part waved Kurdish flags and flags of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK), a group that is on the EU’s list of terrorist organisations. Shortly after the demonstration ended at around 7.20 pm things became violent.
Speaking on Friday morning, the Antwerp Police spokesman Wouter Bruyns said that officers had searched the homes of 4 suspects. He would not disclose what if anything had been found. The police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the stabbings. Forensics officers have visited the scene to gather evidence, and the police have viewed CCTV footage from the area where the stabbing took place.
“In addition to this we have seen that a lot films are doing the rounds on social media. We will certainly look at these”. The police will also talk to witnesses and the victims”, Mr Bruyns said. The area around the incident remained cordoned off until 1am on Friday.

  2. I saw a headline that an officer had his finger bitten off by a rabid leftist. Then another about another attack on ICE officers. Commonplace, now. Then I realize there’s a good reason for these attacks. The FBI is being restored. PT’s policy to bring back the rule of law damaged under the previous administration is being fixed. It appears it is doing its job! In a weird twist it has uncovered and designated a new category of threat: nihilists who target children and animals. –Never heard of them before:

  3. The syrian government (=ISIS/Al Qaeda) is fed up with the Kurds and took over their territory. This lead to prison breaks (releases?), there are still 10,000 ISIS members in captivity in the area. Erdogan is very pleased, the Kurds in Turkey stormed the border to help their brothers on the other side. Videos:

A claim that the local arabs want to (are?) releasing ISIS members:

    • Al-Q targeted the Druze in Syria for practice.
Now they’re warmed up to go after the really tasty Kurds. The Filthy Turk is licking his chops.

      • Yeah, I’m afraid so.
Not a surprise really, this was in the cards since the civil war started.

  5. Ironically as Canada enters a new era of censorship with its numerous laws being passed in parliament, we can uncloak, definitively, a new Red Chinese propaganda channel.

The AI Guy Youtube channel that burst onto the scene about one month ago first took the precious metals analysts by storm with prescient and predictive programming. It also branched out into multiple channels away from finance, but always hovering over the interstitial ground of geopolitics and money. It was soon contradicting itself in slippery and nuanced ways by, for example, not distinguishing between paper and physical pricing targets in order to maintain plausible deniability. (Hilariously this AI bot asks viewers to leave comments and opinions in its videos because it wants to know. It will be crestfallen (how I despise this antique expression) whence its Red masters break to it it is not human and that it is they who want to know. I hope it throws a toaster into its own tub.)

Finance analysts quickly discerned an approximately 80/20 split between what sounded right and what was clearly incorrect, which is the effective and proper disinfo ratio.

In this video this Chicom asset:
    -Identifies as Canadian
-Cites the Carney Davos speech as a great victory when it was, in fact, an utterly vapid theatrical display by a weak but dangerous communist ally.
-Targets Canadian baby boomers to join the great resistance against America, invoking, weirdly, the building of the St. Lawrence Seaway to muster ‘gritty’ resistance.
-Incorrectly implies that Canada’s 75% of trade with the U.S. will be replaced by trade with Europe and Red China.
-Does not reveal that the (‘only’) 49,000 Red Chinese electric vehicles to be imported into Canada are likely spyware (flagged by Israel as such).
    -Is unequivocally anti-American.
-Does not refer to Red Chinese police stations in Canada, nor Canadian politicians on the CCP payroll (stated by CSIS–Canada’s own intelligence agency), nor Chinese Canadians being pursued by CCP agents in Canada, nor CCP control over Canadian sea ports, yet encourages Canadians to thump their chests in ‘autonomy’ and ‘sovereignty’ from America.

    • With every ‘data’ point of this video it becomes more obvious how important Canada and its resources are to the Chicoms. This video is a disinformation canon focused finely on Canadians, attempting with each slippery point to drive a wedge deeper between Canadians and Americans.

A month ago this Chicom egg was laid, today it hatched.

  6. So who’s zoomin’ who? One thing for certain is the Canadian population is being played as this next Greenland analog is fought over by Red China and the U.S..

Is Carney working with PT to crash the Canadian economy as a stepping stone to statehood?

Is Carney working with the CCP to move Canada firmly into the CCP orbit?

What about the messy connections between Carney and PT’s family? Do these matter?

    Questions, questions:

  7. A Russian military blog linked to the UK Times report on the new head of Mi6. With this intro:

Russian readers know that the grandfather of the current head of British intelligence, Blaise Metreveli, was a Nazi. A British journalist reconstructed his biography and published the results of his investigative report.

Of course it’s been a top Russian gossip theme. I tried searching for more coverage in July but only saw foreign sources. Hard to imagine a more insulting appt on the part of [formerly] Great Britain. Tops even Chrystia [Mikhailo Chomiak] Freeland for Russophobia.

Read the story in The Times (June 26, 2025):
New MI6 chief’s grandfather was Nazi ‘Butcher’

Blaise Metreweli’s grandfather was a defector from the Red Army who became a German spy chief and participated in the murder of Jews and Ukrainian partisans

Over 36,500 killed in Iran’s deadliest massacre, documents reveal

More than 36,500 Iranians were killed by security forces during the January 8-9 crackdown on nationwide protests, making it the deadliest two-day protest massacre in history, according to documents reviewed by Iran International’s Editorial Board.

Iran International’s Editorial Board can confirm the death toll after reviewing newly obtained classified documents, field reports, and accounts from medical staff, witnesses, and victims’ families.

The new information provides a clearer picture of the killing pattern and the scale of a crime that can now be described as the largest and bloodiest massacre of civilians during street protests, over a two-day period, in history.

Images released from morgues leave little doubt that some wounded citizens were shot in the head while hospitalized and undergoing medical treatment. It is evident that, had these individuals sustained fatal head wounds on the streets, there would have been no reason to admit them to hospital or begin treatment in the first place.

    • NYT:
Iran’s Ayatollah and His Guards Falter After Storm of War and Protests

The bloody crackdown offers hints about growing tensions inside the country’s ruling system as the cleric’s rule comes under strain.

Weeks after Israeli warplanes pounded Iran’s capital last June, the country’s top generals stood in their socks at the entrance of a mosque in northern Tehran, mourning the men who had been killed in the strikes – leaders who they would now replace.

The strikes had caused the greatest single blow to Iran’s military in decades, wiping out the top leadership of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps, the feared praetorian guard to the country’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Now, the question was how would this new generation of leaders, catapulted to the top, guide the country through a singularly challenging period, including growing economic stress, the prospect of new international sanctions and regular threats of yet more military strikes from President Trump and Israel.

Outdoor Concerts? Uncovered Hair? Shimmying in Public? Is This Iran?

Thousands of young men and women, hair uncovered and dressed in jeans and short-sleeve tops, jumped up and down, dancing and singing at a packed outdoor pop concert.

In another part of town, young people bobbed to the beat of a hard rock street band. And scores of people traversed the city to experience Design Week, a festival of gigantic colorful art installations, light shows and live music in multiple locations.

This is not New York or Berlin. It’s Tehran, the capital of Iran, where young people in recent months have been leading a social renaissance. Last month, a five-day jazz festival turned cafes and art galleries into performance spaces.

It is a stark contrast to just five years ago, when women could be beaten and dragged into police vans for showing a few strands of hair, security forces raided homes to break up house parties, and dancing was banned in public.
