Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

    In a joint statement, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and the Shin Bet announced that the Israeli Air Force conducted a targeted airstrike earlier today against senior Hamas leadership in Qatar.

    The alleged deception operation was designed to draw Hamas’s negotiation team to Qatar. The move, sources suggest, was a “perfect deception operation.”
    Channel 12 reports that there were more than 10 explosions in Doha.
    The attack reportedly involved approximately 15 fighter jets and struck only a single target (although the Qataris claim four targets were struck.)
    According to the report, more than 10 munitions were used, hitting the target within a few seconds of each other. The operation, which required aerial refueling, concluded with all Israeli pilots returning safely to Israel.
    The strike was called “Peak of Fire,” and reportedly targeted several senior Hamas officials.
    Sources in Saudi Arabia have reportedly named five senior Hamas officials believed to have been targeted. The list includes Muhammad Darwish, Khalil al-Hayya, Ghazi Hamad, Khaled Mashaal, and Zaher Jabarin.
    A separate report confirms that five senior Hamas officials were present at a meeting in Doha, including Khaled Mashaal, but other sources claim he wan’t at the meeting.

    *BREAKING* Trump’s proposal for a comprehensive deal for Gaza: Trump sent Hams a proposal for a comprehensive deal with significant changes from previous offers. It says all 48 hostages, alive and dead, will be freed on the deal’s first day, along with hundreds of Palestinian murderers and thousands of detainees. Israel will halt Operation Gideon Chariots B to conquer Gaza City and will immediately open negotiations personally managed by Trump to end the war. Fighting will not resume until the negotiations conclude.

    Hams will be asked to rely on Trump’s statements in favor of ending the war and on the assumption that once the hostages are home, Israel will find it difficult to gain legitimacy from inside and outside to continue the war.

    The fact that Hams has not yet responded to the deal means that there is a dispute within the organization about how to act. What worries Hams most is the fear of its defeat if Gaza City is conquered. Of course, Israel has received updates on the details and has implicitly accepted the framework in principle.

    • The last sentence is very possible, remember he OKed the bombing of the two Hamas leaders.

      Also remember Trump is a master at getting the deals that he wants on the terms he wants not the terms his opponents want, he plays 3 and 4 D chess in his negotiations so we never know which offers are serious and which are meant to troll his opponents.

      You can also try following the Bongino rule, wait 24 hours before believing anything posted, things can surface that will change your mind.

      • Well, Israelis like the one I quoted above think PT is the reincarnation of the Persian Monarch. They stretch, dreaming up 4D chess moves.

        I wouldn’t be surprised if he became another excuse for a holiday like Purim.

            I figure the others are for fun [and optional]. Kids dress up in costumes, musical instruments are kosher, getting drunk is a mitzvah.

        Senior Hamas official, Basem Naeem, rejects Trump’s latest deal proposal:
        We are facing initial ideas that the American side calls a “proposal.”

        The main goal of this matter is to lead to a situation of “rejection of the proposal” instead of reaching an agreement that will lead to the end of the war, a complete withdrawal of enemy forces, and a prisoner exchange deal.

        They want a “humiliating surrender” or the continuation of the war.

  11. Johnny Yucki The following article is for both of you, it is long and complicated so I am not going to try and post all of it just the URL. It is about how China owes $59 Trillion and how its economy is collapsing. This also explains why Xi is in internal political trouble and why China will probably not invade anyone. Remember all of the Banks, including the Shadow Banks are ultimately owned and controlled by the CCP, they run the Chinese economy and are stuck with Marxist economics which always fail.

    The question isn’t if China will suffer an economic collapse but when and how far they will fall. If they fall far enough we will see a civil war in a nation armed with nuclear weapons and a major disregard for human life. At a minimum the collapse will cause a recession in most of the worlds economies, with Trump in command already cutting taxes, government spending and government payroll we will probably not be hurt as much as the other nations. If the Dems get enough power they will reverse all he is doing and we will suffer as much as the other nations.

    The next article is about the National riot in Nepal, they are showing the world how to protest a communist government and hopefully change it. They are following Louis Lamours advice in one of his books (start a debating society and let Winchester and Remington do the debating, start an uplift society and let a rope do the uplifting) I haven’t read about many deaths yet but if the Nepalese government isn’t careful we will hear about a lot of them.

    • It’s SOOO easy to pass quick judgements without all the info (I’m guilty!). But what you say, Richard, makes sense. PT knows the Red Chinese weakness is its exports (or lack thereof) if the U.S. decides to slow them down. Chinese unemployment up, social strife up, and so on. We’re really in for a ride.

    Secretary of War Pete Hegseth and senior Pentagon officials made an unannounced visit to US Marines stationed in the Caribbean as well as to Puerto Rico on Monday. The military build-up to to target Venezuelan cartels allegedly threatening America’s borders by moving their product.

    Upon a first somewhat dramatic stop and arrival by Osprey aircraft to the USS Iwo Jima warship, Hegseth told US Marines in waters off Puerto Rico that their deployment was “not training” – which is a clear sign the Trump White House intends to keep up its escalatory force posture aimed at Maduro’s Venezuela.

    “What you’re doing right now is not training; this is a real-world exercise on behalf of the vital national interests of the United States of America to end the poisoning of the American people,” Trump’s defense chief said.

    The Pentagon is reportedly mulling using Puerto Rico as its central hub to wage war against Latin American cartels, at a moment the US has put a $50 million bounty on President Maduro’s head – signaling the pursuit of regime change.

    Governor of Puerto Rico Jennifer Gonzalez welcomed Hegseth’s presence, showing a willingness to host American troops amid the Venezuela operations, while denouncing Maduro as a “narco-dictator”.

    “We thank [President Donald] Trump and his Administration for recognizing the strategic value Puerto Rico has to the national security of the United States and the fight against drug cartels in our hemisphere, perpetuated by narco-dictator Nicolas Maduro,” she wrote on social media.

    The Iwo Jima is currently stationed about 30 miles south of Puerto Rico…

    Along with the carrier deployment, the US has at least three guided missile destroyers in the Caribbean, ten F-35s, and thousands of US Marines. There are also reports of a US attack submarine operating at locations unknown off Venezuela.

    Tensions are soaring after last week the US attacked an alleged drug-smuggling boat, killing all eleven on board – and reportedly with no warning or attempt to intercept it. Maduro has put his own forces on alert, particularly on the coast and in border areas, and has sent F-16s to buzz US warships, though Trump has threatened to shoot them down

  15. Nepal Descends Into Chaos After Social Media Ban, PM Resigns, Finance Minister Dragged Through Street

    Chaos has descended on Nepal amid raging mass protests against a short-lived ban on social media, and accusations of widespread government corruption. The small Himalayan country has descended into hellish conditions in less than a mere 48 hours of raging anti-government demonstrations.

    The protests appear mostly led by the young, after several popular social media sites were blocked and clashes with police led to authorities firing on crowds, resulting in 19 people dead.

    But even after the social media ban was lifted amid the pressure and mayhem, demonstrators set fire to the homes of top Nepalese leaders and and even parliament building.

    Specifically Facebook, X, Instagram, and YouTube were blocked among some two dozen others, after the government said the companies failed to comply with local law by failing to register for requred government oversight.

    The airport was also shuttered and army helicopters were seen deployed to rescue government ministers from the mob. Apparently, the country’s finance minister wasn’t so lucky…

    India Today: Nepal’s Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel reportedly chased by protesters and kicked after a video showed him fleeing down a street.

    According to reports, “Nepal’s finance minister was chased and beaten by demonstrators Tuesday as Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli resigned following days of violent student-led protests against corruption and a ban on social media.”

    Residents of top politicians in Kathmandu have been reported attacked and in some cases damaged or set on fire, including the prime minister of the country, KP Sharma Oli. He has since stepped down in the wake of the protester killings.

    “Oli’s private home was among those set on fire, as were those of the president, home minister and the leader of the country’s largest party, Nepali Congress, which is part of the governing coalition,” AP reports.

    “Oli’s family was at the official residence at the time. The home of the leader of the opposition Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist) was also set ablaze,” AP adds.

    The moment at which police opened fire on crowds was the tipping point. Even after the social media ban was reversed, the rioting became more intense.

    “We are here to protest because our youths and friends are getting killed, we are here to see that justice is done and the present regime is ousted,” one eyewitness interviewed by international press outside the damaged parliament building said Tuesday. “K.P. Oli should be chased away.”

    A key part of what’s driving the outrage related to the protests dubbed ‘Gen Z’ is that those killed by police were found to have been shot in the head and chest, according to hospital staff who received the dead and wounded.

    One protester told the BBC, “Rather than the social media ban, I think everyone’s focus is on corruption.” She added, “We want our country back – we came to stop corruption.”

      The mask of the “mediator” has slipped. Its sanctuary has been exposed for what it truly was: the penthouse headquarters of genocidal terror.

      In one dramatic strike, Israel has upended the rules of the game. These were not minor figures. They were Yahya Sinwar’s heirs, masterminds of Oct. 7, 2023, and the men who used the hostages as human bargaining chips.
