A couple of additional thoughts on the sentencing of Tamara Lich and Chris Barber, the hearings for which are taking place today and tomorrow

[UPDATE: This X account is live tweeting today’s procedures.]

As mentioned in last night’s article, the crown, although at this point calling it the COMINTERN would be more accurate and most certainly more meaningful, is asking that the state seize the truck known as Big Red, belonging to Chris Barber.

As mentioned in last night’s article, communist operate symbolically. Big Red is a major symbol of the counter-revolution and the public demand for the restoration of our actual constitutional rights.

Section 7 – Life, Liberty and Security of the Person

“Everyone has the right to life, liberty and security of the person and the right not to be deprived thereof except in accordance with the principles of fundamental justice.”

Just FYI.

The request for unprecedented sentences for ‘Mischief’ and for the taking of a truck is clearly because the state wants to destroy a symbol of individual resistance to the revolution. MANY people see Big Red as such a symbol.

As to how the sentencing will go, I have no idea. There are lots of models we could use to try and predict it and all of them will be missing variables and key facts we can’t know. Including what the judge actually thinks, and perhaps more importantly, what pressures are on the judge to create a sentence in accordance with what those pressures are.

Here is a prediction based on one possible model.

“The art of taxation consists in so plucking the goose as to obtain the largest amount of feathers with the least amount of hissing.”
— Jean-Baptiste Colbert (1619–1683)

-French finance minister under Louis XIV

The purpose of these trials and punishments is to destroy the unity and movement that manifested itself during the Freedom Convoy.

Punishment should be severe enough to be a deterrent, and powerfully symbolic enough to get the message across.

HOWEVER: It cannot be so harsh that it creates a new unity behind the defendants. And this is where the mitigating factor will be. Canada is not yet so subdued that they can do whatever they want to the defendants. People still care about them, and know the verdict is ludicrous and the crimes are thought crimes and political crimes and in no way based on any kind of action that would be considered criminal in the formerly free West. Parking infractions, maybe. Except it was the Ottawa Police themselves that showed each truck where to park.

So our prediction is the sentencing will be as harsh as possible without creating a new unity and opposition to state narrative attacks such as we saw during the Convoy itself. Especially as it is summer now, and the downtown area is a lot more comfortable to hang around carrying signs than it was in February of 2022. Not to mention all the cafe’s are open.

  1. I am beyond outraged. I also feel impotent. If I protest openly will my bank account be seized? I cannot believe what our government is doing to these people. I want to take a placard to Parliament Hill and protest, will they trample on me, will they throw me in jail and throw away the key? If Lawrence Greenspoon cannot help, who can?

That may seem incidental, but it isn’t – indeed, it is entirely by design that individuals in the formerly free West feel atomized and helpless. For the powers-that-be know deep within their bones that if the people ever unite en-mass against them, it will be the end of the status quo which has so benefited them and their colleagues.

This is also why the state always strives when “enforcing the law” to have numbers disproportionately on their side. A dozen cops serving a warrant for example. They do not want anyone entertaining notions of resisting; they want us to feel that they are invincible.

Of course, this effort is – as you may now realize – gas-lighting on a massive scale: It is the people who wield power by their sheer numbers. But only if they unite. Machiavelli wrote in “The Prince” about how to use factionalism to remain in power. Astutely, how a ruler can set one group against another to create factionalism and thereby ensure that no one group becomes powerful-enough to threaten his rule.

The threat the internet poses to them in this regard may be why so many of the technocratic elites want the web regulated or even censored.

    • We need about a million Canadians to come to the Hill with a column of about 500 police and military to arrest all those guilty of treason and the undermining of our entire legal framework not to mention culture.
