Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

    • He asks, “What does Israel want?” I assume it wants what other First World Countries want: to be right, liked, and financially secure. Israel, though, is also a Middle Eastern country, which colors (or maybe erases) what it wants, putting it alongside Egypt and Jordan: stable, in control, and financially secure enough to dominate the region.

    In the winter of 1980 I had the privilege of teaching Israeli adults English conversation at a private night school in Jerusalem. One of the discussions, inevitably, focused on security.…

    As a client centered teacher I asked students what security in the modern state of Israel meant for each one of them. I wrote their responses on the blackboard (yes, this took place before the internet) and cleaned up the grammar of each phrase.

    The last student to express his thoughts on the matter smiled, opened his jacket, pointed to his holstered handgun, and said, in lovely Israeli accented English, “This is my personal security.”

    He was right. After the pogrom of October 7 the Israeli government has finally understood that every responsible Israeli adult who can, should be trained in the use of small arms and carry one in a car, purse or knapsack as so many terrorist Jihadis who have attacked innocent Israelis on the streets of that country have been mowed down by civilian arms carriers with solid military experience and training.

    • You are right, that is how individuals can be secure, in WWII Admiral Yamamoto refused to plan the invasion of California saying there would be a rifle behind every blade of grass. Despite the best efforts of the left the US citizens are better armed now then we were then.

  7. I’m reading that Khameini is in very bad shape, hiding in a bunker with family. All his close friends have been killed or betrayed him; he is losing his mind.. The command of Iran has been handed over to other people.

    • I need to have this on record.
      I was at a Mark Carney talk before he announced he was anointed for PM, but everyone kinda knew it. It was at a very elitist little gathering near to where he lived in Rockcliffe Park at a community centre.

      He did not allow any recording. But he did repeatedly say he wanted “Negative net zero”.

      There is no conclusion possible other than, as they say, “We are the carbon they want to reduce”.

      • I can’t help but hear “Past the point of no return”. Do these feckless, money madmen believe they have that much control? Beware of what happened to their Guidestones.

  11. Kudos to Israel, take out Iran’s nuclear program and the world will be a better place. Can one make a deal with the terrorists — no. G-7 what a waste, smirking, Carney, Macron…..
