Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

  2. As a kid I admired and really believed in American ingenuity. My father said America had it in spades because it was the most dynamic society. I still believe it.

    In those days it was more about ingenuity in technology. Faith in the wizz-bang was a forever one, and technology has even surpassed science fiction’s ability to write about it effectively. Imagine that.

    When one door closes another opens, though, as we now are presented with raw tyrannical power projected through regulation and bureaucracy. We all have seen this dominate us in the last four years.

    Now, American ingenuity gets the chance to put its white hat on against this most pernicious threat.         Pharmacies are also vital. The Mass College of Pharmacy is across the street from the Harvard Medical School. The former is more trustworthy than the latter.

        I use what’s probably the last independent pharmacy in the greater Boston area. It’s a venerable little storefront, a Ph.D pharmacist always on duty. Open fewer than 40 hours a week, but they have an ancient Russian delivery man.

        They don’t sell lipstick, candy, or shaving lotion, but they do compounding and intercede with insurance companies. The staff is all foreign-born: Russia, Vietnam, Venezuela, and Nigeria.

        They’ve saved my life from doctors’ *lethal* prescribing errors more than once over the decades.

    The Defense (and Intelligence) budgets continue to climb. However, the military shrinks and is distracted while China acts as a proxy for their proxy Russia and turns the Baltic into a Chinese lake and Chinese and Russian Nuclear Bombers exercise over the Sea of Japan with a message for Japan, South Korea, and the U.S.

    In Fiscal Year 2024, $826.45 billion was enacted for DOD and $106 billion for the Intel Community. I’m not feeling $932 billion of value in deterring a full and recognizable World War III.

    The world is on fire and World War III is already in progress. China and Russia inked the deal to challenge and topple America in the Fall of 2021 with the “No Limits” Partnership which also includes Iran, North Korea, and Venezuela as regional partners tasked with waging Grey Zone conflict around the world. With multiple Iranian assassins (DOJ fails to mention that other Iranian Assassins are out there in this press release) operating with an intent to get President-Elect Trump, there needs to be great vigilance over an Iranian strike to disrupt the inauguration in January 2025.

    To ready the United States, the incoming Trump Administration is reportedly preparing an Executive Order to “purge” Generals and Admirals. The Deep Staters of the Blob are whispering hyperbole to what’s left of the legacy media to try to disrupt such an event. They are incorrect (again) and need to study history and law.
    Legal Authority and Precedent to remove Generals and Admirals? Absolutely

    There have been at least four large-scale “pluckings” before in the U.S. Military. General George C. Marshall assumed the position of the Chief of Staff of the U.S. Army on the same day (September 1, 1939) that Germany crossed the border into Poland and World War II was formally realized. Marshall convened retired military officers with the guidance that they were “empowered to remove from line promotion any officer for reasons deemed good and sufficient…Critical times are upon us.”

    General Marshall did this board with two experiences searing his decision-making process. The inter-war period had created an environment of seniority and allegiance to the system, not merit, nor war-winning experience and potential (sound familiar?). In addition, General Marshall modeled his “plucking board” on a very similar process conducted by General John “Black Jack” Pershing in the run-up to America’s involvement in World War I.

    There was a mini-Plucking Board 2.0 after the disastrous first American Army engagement at Kasserine Pass in World War II and additional Army Generals were removed. Going back further in history, President Lincoln, during the Civil War, identified, selected, and promoted General U.S. Grant despite great resistance from the Army “blob” of the time. Multiple Generals were removed during this process. Without Lincoln standing up to the Deep State of the time, we would likely be two nations today, not one. The authority of the President in selection, promotion, retention, and removal is clear and distinct in the Constitution as the Commander of the Armed Forces and in U.S. Law.
    Must address Military Academies, Government Boards, and Think Tanks

    The compelling issue in the modern Plucking Board is the extreme and dangerous culture of “Woke-ism” that has created an intolerable drag co-efficient in the “Critical times” that are upon us with the World on Fire. More is being spent on the National Security apparatus than ever before, yet U.S. capabilities and effectiveness are shrinking. Foreign adversaries are flying drone swarms at will over U.S. facilities, yet the response is endless bureaucratic meetings and aggressive press releases. The question is, where did the cancerous communist psychology of DEI/CRT/ and Woke-ism incubate and thrive to infect so many in the military (and intelligence services) and create such a dangerous drag-coefficient?

    The virus petri dish for this sickness are none other than the Military Academies, Government advisory boards, and the think tanks. West Point for example is actively fighting all reasonable Freedom of Information Act requests on their DEI/CRT curriculums. The Air Force Academy openly pushes transgenderism. The advisory boards are immensely influential in the creation of policies, strategies, and budgets in the national security community and are blatantly activist in promotion of woke-ism. Likely the majority of the 51 lying Intel Officers (several are also General Officers) currently sit as Special Government Employees on these boards. An immediate “Plucking Board” is needed to review, consolidate, and eliminate boards and woke members. The shadow government of Federally Funded Research and Development Centers (FFRDCs), University Associated Research Centers (UARCs), and Laboratories such as Rand, Mitre, The Aerospace Corporation, and Institute for Defense Analyses are part of Woke World. They definitely play a vital role, but they should reflect on their Woke activism and begin to self-purge leadership and culture in advance of formal guidance and direction of plucking.
    They will be treated the same as they treated others (except this time, due process will be followed)

    The nation is starting to re-enter the concept of “normal” and Constitutional which since the beginning of the Obama Administration in January 2008 was marginalized, weaponized, and criminalized by Obama, Biden, and Harris. If someone reading this piece takes offense, they likely have been infected with the toxic nature of woke-ism and are part of the problem. No one needs to fret or be concerned about the Golden Age now upon us as America re-aligns with Constitutional values. Can Generals and Admirals be recalled to duty to face UCMJ actions? Yes, it happens regularly, often for very good reasons – but don’t forget, the Biden Team was telegraphing a recall also to intimidate retired Officers and Senior Enlisted they felt were not supporting the Woke party line. This is wrong and unlawful.

    The “Plucking” is lawful and with ample precedent. We live in very very critical times and plucking is necessary for the health, safety, and success of our great experiment of being a Constitutional Republic. Anyone being plucked will have due process – something not granted by the previous team.

      On November 27, in an appeal to the American people, representatives of a group of veterans made public a list of 18 peer-nominated names. According to an X post by Jordan Karr, a nine-year veteran of the U.S. Air Force who served as an intelligence officer, the list “contains potential senior executives for senior cabinet officials to consider as direct staff reports” in the new Trump administration. The “rank and file nominations” can be viewed in her post:

      According to Kacy Dixon, the spokeswoman representing the group, “These veterans do not belong to a special interest group or have any financial stake in receiving an appointment, which makes them ideal to serve in a trusted capacity.”

      The Gateway Pundit spoke to some of those named on the list. According to them, it was created to represent a community of over 80,000 impacted veterans who were either kicked out, forced out, or received undue punitive action for standing up to the current administration’s unlawful COVID-19 mandates, feckless policy, and institutional degradation.

      Mike Berry, who serves as executive director, Center for Litigation at America First Policy Institute, told The Gateway Pundit that “President Trump’s resounding election victory came not a moment too soon, [and] now is the time for bold, decisive action to return America and our military to its dominant status as the Alpha.”

      Berry, who stood out for his staunch legal defense defending service-members’ religious liberties, sees this as a return to American exceptionalism whose best values are espoused in the military. Berry argued, “Now is the time to stop showing military weakness and instead return our focus to lethality, meritocracy, and excellence.”

      Each person named on the list that wants to help restore the military to this level has a strong record of service, and according to their peers, have distinguished themselves as individuals who can be trusted due to their courage displayed while standing up to the unlawful actions of the previous administration. Central to this theme is the fact that these veterans stood up for injustices while oversight mechanisms failed or simply rubber-stamped the actions of the out-going administration.

      For example, Ryan Sweazey who is the founder and president of Walk the Talk Foundation remains focused on oversight reform within the Inspector General offices, “For too long the Department has operated above the law while entities tasked with the role of performing checks and balances on it have complicity spectated.”

      Many others on the list have been featured in various news outlets either by name or by pseudonym. Review of their professional resumes reveal a list of impressive accomplishments, with those who are still in the service leading critical functions across all five branches, while those who are out have excelled in the private sector. These nominees have deep experience in strategic thinking, operations, aviation, personnel management, and a litany of other skill sets.

      This experience also extends to the private sector. One nominee, Stephen Simmons, a former Marine Corps major who was forced to leave active duty after 17 years of service, now leads Amazon’s last mile delivery performance operations team, and has added over $1.5 billion of value to the company in his first year with the company. Despite this success, he remains focused on supporting efforts to reform manpower policy, a subject in which he repeatedly has been quoted as a subject matter expert.

      For the nominees, the list is about supporting restoration efforts within the Department of Defense (DOD) and broader reform across the U.S. Government.

      As president-elect Donald Trump’s nominee for Secretary of Defense, Pete Hegseth continues to grapple with the bureaucratic DOD that is showing itself more and more hostile to the Trump agenda and conservatives in general. To restore the military, it will be critical to place competent and trusted executives throughout the DOD. The list presented offers a unique opportunity to transform the nation’s military through many qualified and trusted candidates.

    During and after the 2024 Election, at least 57 polling locations across the country received bomb threats. Was this a targeted operation by Russia, China, or the Deep State?
    A report from NBC from election night claimed that at least 50 election locations were targeted across multiple battleground states with bomb threats.

    Hoax bomb threats targeting polling places and election offices briefly disrupted voting in five battleground states, with the FBI saying the threats in four of those states came from Russian email domains. The origin of the threats in the fifth state was not clear.

    The threats targeted at least 50 sites across Georgia, Pennsylvania, Arizona, Wisconsin and Michigan, authorities said.

    …The Russian Embassy in the U.S. said any accusation that it was behind the threats was “vicious slander” and “nonsense,” according to the government-owned news service RIA Novosti.

    In Pennsylvania there were at least 13 voting locations throughout the state that reported bomb threats. The threats were reportedly received via email. Most were reported on election day.

    An email announcing a bomb threat at the Chester County Government Services Center on 601 Westtown Road in West Chester was sent to Chester County Voter Services on Tuesday night, shortly before polls closed, according to investigators.

    Chester County Emergency Officials responded to the building which was evacuated. The Chester County Sheriff’s Office K9 Unit conducted a sweep and determined the threat was unfounded. The building was later reopened.

    Philadelphia police said they responded to bomb threats at the following locations between 6:43 p.m. and 6:55 p.m. on Tuesday:

    In the beginning of the war in Ukraine, the Israeli ambassador met with Russian President Vladimir Putin and got from him a guarantee that Moscow would not kill his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky.

    Now, 3 years later, Israel got into two wars of its own and implemented a jaw-dropping program of decapitation strikes that took out the complete leaderships of Hamas and Hezbollah.

    But now, Russia, after having Western-made long-range missile strikes into its territory, has unveiled a new hypersonic weapon Oreshnik (Hazel), and after a first strike in a defense compound in Dnipropetrovsk, is warning that it may now use it against high-value political targets.

    Putin said Moscow may use the Oreshnik to attack ‘decision-making centers’ in Kiev in response to Ukraine’s firing of Western missiles at Russian territory.

    Reuters reported:

    “Russia has not so far struck Ukrainian government ministries, parliament or the president’s office in the course of the 33-month war.”

    Watch: Putin is asked if Russia is preparing for a new launch of the ‘Oreshnik’ at the ‘decision-making centers’ in Kiev. He recalls an old Soviet joke, and adds that ‘today, anything is possible’.

    While Kiev is heavily protected by air defenses, Putin has said that the ‘Hazel’ can’t be intercepted by any existing systems.

    ‘’Of course, we will respond to the ongoing strikes on Russian territory with long-range Western-made missiles, as has already been said, including by possibly continuing to test the Oreshnik in combat conditions, as was done on November 21’, Putin told leaders of a security alliance of ex-Soviet countries at a summit in Kazakhstan.

    “At present, the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff are selecting targets to hit on Ukrainian territory. These could be military facilities, defense and industrial enterprises, or decision-making centers in Kiev’, he said.”

    Zelenskiy called this as ‘a tactic to disrupt attempts to end the war’.

    “’He doesn’t seek an end to this war. Moreover, Putin wants to prevent others from ending the war’, Zelenskiy said in his nightly video address. ‘He can go on wielding his Oreshnik only to thwart the efforts of President Trump which are sure to follow his inauguration. Putin wants to escalate the situation to such an extent so that President Trump’s attempts will fail. So that he cannot end the war’.”

    Even without the Oreshnik, Russia is obliterating Ukraine’s energy system, using Kaliber cruise missiles with cluster munitions to cut power to more than 1 million people.

    “Russia says Ukraine fired more ATACMS at its Kursk region on Nov. 23 and Nov. 25 and struck Russia with British Storm Shadow cruise missiles too, after the United States and Britain agreed for the first time to allow Kiev to strike deep inside Russian territory with these weapons.”

    Russia has ‘several’ Oreshniks ready to use, and again warned that the missile was comparable to a nuclear weapon in terms of its destructive power and would ‘atomize’ everything at the point of impact.

    The Biden-Harris regime has turned the Department of Education (DOE) into a battering ram against Christian colleges and universities.

    According to an explosive report by the American Principles Project (APP), the DOE’s Office of Enforcement, resurrected by President Biden, has disproportionately targeted faith-based institutions, imposing massive fines and creating a hostile regulatory environment.

    According to the report:

    Days before his inauguration then President-elect Joe Biden wrote in a statement that “ensuring freedom of religion remains as important as ever” and that government must safeguard “bedrock protections.” No one should be “afraid to attend a religious service, school, or community center,” the statement asserts.

    That statement is not representative of what Joe Biden and Kamala Harris actually believe. Since assuming office, the administration has waged an unprecedented assault against Christian colleges, universities, and students, while systematically protecting “elite” public and private institutions, foisting woke ideology on reluctant students, and enabling antisemitic, violent protests on campuses across the nation.

    It’s done so by weaponizing the Department of Education’s Office of Enforcement—an obscure subsidiary of the Office of Federal Student Aid (FSA) that was created with the implicit intent of shutting down schools and programs that do not conform to the administration’s radical agenda.

    This campaign, which has been advanced under the auspices of protecting students from “predatory” colleges and universities, threatens to erode traditional family values from higher education and financially squeeze and shut down schools that align with Christians’ values and beliefs.

    Data analysis from the American Principles Project reveals that nearly 70% of enforcement actions by the Department of Education targeted faith-based or career-focused schools, which represent less than 10% of the student population.

    Institutions like Grand Canyon University (GCU) and Liberty University—two of the country’s largest Christian universities—faced record-setting fines of $37.7 million and $14 million, respectively.

    These fines surpass all other penalties issued by the department in the last seven years combined, including “fines imposed on Penn State ($2.4 million) and Michigan State ($4.5 million) relating to Jerry Sandusky and Larry Nassar’s respective sexual crimes,” according to Fox News.

    The APP report states:

    In October 2023, the Department of Education assessed a record $37.7 million fine against GCU, despite not having completed written procedures for selecting or investigating colleges nor having updated its penalty procedures.

    The penalty—which officials called the “largest of its kind” —was imposed for allegedly “not fully informing” students about the costs of GCU’s doctoral programs on its website. Doctoral students represent less than five percent of the school’s student body.

    GCU “categorically” denied the allegations, noting that an independent accreditor described the school’s marketing and recruitment materials as “clear and transparent.”

    The accreditor specifically said of GCU’s doctoral program materials: “The information and resources provided are robust and thorough, providing prospective students a clear picture of their academic and financial path toward a degree at GCU.”

    In a letter to Secretary Cardona preceding the Department of Education’s announcement, GCU president Brian Mueller called the accusations “incredulous” and asked to “sit down and discuss these matters in a rational and productive way.”

    That request seems to have been ignored. Mr. Mueller’s letter notes that GCU did not raise tuition for 15 years, does not “rely on state taxpayer subsidies as state universities do,” and that GCU graduates incur “less debt than the national average.”

    Originally established under the Obama administration, the Office of Enforcement was resurrected by Joe Biden and given an unprecedented budget increase of nearly 600% last year, and “it has requested another almost 230% raise this year.”

    This obscure agency has become the administration’s tool to dismantle Christian colleges under the pretense of enforcing compliance. Its actions disproportionately target schools that refuse to conform to progressive ideologies, particularly on issues like LGBTQ+ policies and gender identity.

    According to APP’s press release, “At least 12 Christian colleges have been the target of excessive penalties or banned from receiving federal student aid; by comparison, no Ivy League school has been the recipient of punitive action by the Office of Enforcement. The average fine against a Christian school for a Clery Act violation was $815,000, compared to $228,571 against public and private institutions.”

    The targeting of Christian colleges extends beyond penalties. The Biden Administration has rolled back protections for religious student groups and implemented policies to limit religious expression on campuses.

    This blatant hostility is underscored by the administration’s prioritization of enforcing Title IX regulations and Clery Act violations at Christian schools while neglecting similar issues at state-run and Ivy League institutions.

    This comes as no surprise, considering that Biden’s FBI previously issued a memo warning agents about the so-called “radical traditionalist Catholic ideology,” which it deemed a growing threat in the country. The memo, revealed by former FBI special agent Kyle Seraphin, was published on UncoverDC.com.

    Not only that, the FBI agents engaged in outreach to Catholic leaders to spy on Americans practicing their Christian faith.

    “We now know the FBI, relying on information derived from at least one employee, sought to use local religious organizations as ‘new avenues for tripwire and source development,’” according to the Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government.

    President-elect Donald Trump scored a landslide victory over Vice President Kamala Harris in the 2024 election for many reasons.

    If you paid close attention to public affairs for at least the last four years, however, you almost certainly understand the earnestness with which politically-engaged, conservative-minded and freedom-loving Americans came to regard the recent election as first and foremost a spiritual contest between good and evil.

    Thus, one finds it unsurprising but also heartening to learn that, according to a post-election report published last week by the Cultural Research Center (CRC) at Arizona Christian University, self-identified Christian voters proved decisive in Trump’s victory.

    For instance, the president-elect earned 56 percent support among Christian voters — at least those who called themselves Christians.

    By contrast, Harris won only 43 percent of the self-identified Christian vote.

    Trump’s 13-point winning margin might not seem overwhelming until one considers that Christians constituted 72 percent of the overall electorate.

    Hence, “their support for the re-elected Republican made the difference in the race.”

    Moreover, the CRC survey of 2,000 voting-age adults yielded additional good news.

    For instance, voters of “no religious faith” unsurprisingly went for Harris by 29 percentage points, 64-35.

    Those voters, however, represent only 24 percent of the U.S. adult population and only 19 percent of the 2024 turnout.

    Meanwhile, Christians of every description turned out to vote at a higher rate than their numbers would suggest.

    Overall, therefore, while Christians represent 68 percent of the U.S. adult population, they comprised 72 percent of the 2024 electorate.

    In other words, because they showed up at the polls, American Christians wielded power disproportionate even to their large numbers.

    Of course, a nationwide survey cannot quantify Christians’ precise impact on the Electoral College.

    According to Decision Desk HQ, Trump prevailed in the swing states by margins ranging from approximately 30,000 votes in Wisconsin to more than 120,000 votes in Pennsylvania and more than 180,000 votes in both North Carolina and Arizona.

    The degree to which Christian voters shaped those specific results remains a matter of speculation.

    Nonetheless, one wonders if President Joe Biden’s declaration of “Trans Visibility Day” on Easter Sunday helped motivate Christians to vote.

    The same holds true for Harris’s infamous “wrong rally” reply to a heckler who proclaimed “Jesus is Lord.”

    Likewise, Democratic Gov. Gretchen Whitmer of Michigan might have helped alienate Christian voters when she appeared to mock the Eucharist.

    Above all, by celebrating the murder of unborn children, embracing notorious warmongers and promoting a transgender ideology that denies biblical truth while encouraging the destruction of self, Democrats collectively have morphed into something that looks less like a political party and more like a modern death cult.

    In other words, if Christians needed good reasons to turn out for Trump in decisive numbers, they did not have to look very hard to find them.

    CAIR is an organization that provides rhetorical support for terror, even though it is courted by Democrats as some kind of legitimate representative of the Muslim American community.

    CAIR director Nihad Awad even celebrated the October 7, 2023, terror attacks by Hamas against Israel.

  10. Data shows that the Biden-Harris administration has been targeting faith-based colleges, a study found.

    According to the American Principles Project (APP), actions by the Department of Education have “unfairly” targeted Christian colleges and universities while ignoring Ivy League schools, the organization reported on November 18.

    The report said almost 70 percent of the actions involved faith-based and career schools. APP noted those schools represent less than ten percent of students across America:

  11. The government of Chad announced on Thursday it has canceled its military cooperation pact with France, its former colonial ruler.

    The decision, which took observers in both Chad and France by surprise, means the roughly 1,000 French troops stationed in Chad will have to withdraw.

    The Chadian government did not set a date for evicting French forces but said it would “respect the modalities of the termination including the necessary deadlines, and will collaborate with French authorities to ensure a harmonious transition.”

    Bill Clinton revealed in his new memoir, “Citizen – My Life After The White House,” that he “couldn’t sleep for two years after the election” and suffered “outbursts of rage, which lasted for years” following Hillary’s 2016 loss to President Trump.

    “The whole thing is hard for me to write,” says Slick Willie while pushing the debunked Russia collusion hoax and blaming it for Hillary’s loss.

    Hillary faced similar troubles.

    The Gateway Pundit previously reported on Hillary Clinton’s own bursts of rage following the 2016 election. Hillary reportedly became drunk and physically violent towards Robby Mook and John Podesta around midnight on election night as the presidency was slipping away.

    Likewise, Harris is taking her major loss to Trump very poorly and apparently drowning her sorrows with the Henny.

    As The Gateway Pundit reported, Kamala released a video message to supporters on Tuesday, and she looked rough, slurring her words and rambling about getting back to work.

    Now we learn that Bill Clinton has similar symptoms of Trump Derangement Syndrome. Hopefully, Doug Emhoff is doing ok.

    Clinton, president from 1993-2001, still blames Hillary’s defeat on a toxic combination of Russian propaganda, an unprecedented investigation into her use of emails by James Comey, then director of the FBI, and a supine political press which, he says, took more interest in the email controversy than the merits of the candidates.

    ‘I apologize to all those who endured my outbursts of rage, which lasted for years and bothered or bored people who thought it pointless to rehash things that couldn’t be changed.’

    The Gateway Pundit recently reported on another excerpt from Clinton’s new book where he breaks his long-held silence on Jeffery Epstein. Clinton, named “Doe 36” in court documents, admits that he flew on Epstein’s private jet, the Lolita Express. However, he claimed the plane was for pure business purposes, not pleasure, which is obviously a lie.

    Epstein reportedly visited the Oval Office when Clinton was President at least 17 times, and Clinton flew on the disgraced pedophile’s infamous Lolita Express multiple times.

    In 2023 the Competition Bureau did a comprehensive review of the industry and said 66%of cannabis businesses had not paid the tax.
    It also noted the number of businesses in the industry that were behind in tax payments had been increasing since legalization.
