Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

    Riot police clash with pro-Palestininian protesters in Amsterdam; 73 arrested

    The riot police surrounded a group of dozens of pro-Palestinian demonstrators at Dam Square in Amsterdam last night and arrested 73 of them for various criminal offenses.
    The demonstration started on Monday evening at the American consulate on Museumplein. The group eventually moved toward Dam Square, where about 100 protesters held a pro-Israel demonstration organized by the Christian party SGP.
    The police surrounded part of the group of pro-Palestinian protesters on the corner of Kalverstraat and Dam Square and arrested them for disrupting public order. The police put them on a GVB bus to transport them away.
    Several dozen other pro-Palestine demonstrators on the other side of the police action tried to stop the bus from leaving, a police spokesperson told AT5. “Bicycles were pulled from racks and thrown in front of the bus.” The riot police intervened, also striking the protesters.
    According to the police, protesters also attacked the police on the bus on the way to the cell complex. “Officers were kicked, scratched, and insulted.”
    The riot police also ended a pro-Palestinian rally at Radboud University in Nijmegen. A group of around 50 students occupied a building on campus, demanding that the university break its ties with Israel. After the university asked the protesters to leave, the riot police broke through the barricades and took the protesters outside one by one. The evacuation was completed at around 12:30 a.m. with no arrests, Omroep Gelderland reported.

I am away from the computer so I won’t try to post the article, the Telegraph us reporting that Communist China is either seizing commercial vehicles for another exercise faking invading Taiwan or are seizing them to transport men and equipment to Taiwan in a real invasion. Invading while Biden is President will delay our response but would ensure Trump is elected.

      China is preparing an armada of ferries and civilian vessels to invade Taiwan as Beijing steps up its pressure campaign against the island nation.

      While the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) lacks the numbers of amphibious landing craft needed to stage the sort of invasion seen during the D-Day landings, it could bridge the gap with civilian vessels, including dozens of gigantic roll-on, roll-off ferries that can each carry hundreds of armoured vehicles.

      “Amphibious landings under fire are among the most difficult of military manoeuvres,” said Ray Powell, the director of SeaLight, a Stanford University project focused on grey zone activities in the South China Sea.

      Civilian ferries “would normally be poor choices for such a mission” but could be used to transport troops en masse across the Taiwan strait after its coastal defences are destroyed, or to overwhelm the island’s military “with sheer mass,” he said.

      Beijing launched two days of military drills in the waters around Taiwan on Thursday in what it said was a “strong punishment” for “separatist acts” after a fiery inauguration address in Taipei earlier this week by Lai Ching-te, who was sworn in as president for a four-year term.

      It was the third set of exercises encircling the island in the past two years.

  9. REPORT: Secret Service Has Met With Local Jail Officials to Discuss Preparations for President Trump to Go Behind Bars

    A possibly disturbing development has unfolded, leading many to believe the fix is already in for a Trump conviction or imprisonment.

    As Gateway Pundit readers know, corrupt judge Juan Merchan has kept President Trump sidelined for a large chunk of the 2024 Presidential campaign while violating his First Amendment rights.

    Trump has been charged with 34 felony “falsification of business records.” He was penalized for every payment he allegedly made to his former lawyer and pathological liar, Michael Cohen, regarding Cohen paying off Stormy Daniels and Karen McDougal.

    The prosecution has not proven Trump committed any of these crimes or even had an affair; he will likely be found guilty anyway, given the rigged jury.

    Now, we learn that Secret Service officials have met with jailhouse officials to prepare for President Trump to go to prison.

    The Biden regime is taking its racist agenda to the next level with a plan to prioritize minorities for kidney transplants.

    According to a report over at The Washington Free Beacon, Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra wants hospitals to prioritize low-income patients in order to address “racial inequities” in the “transplant process.”

    The report notes:

    The proposal, which Becerra’s agency announced on May 8, would place 90 of the nation’s 257 transplant hospitals into a pilot program that uses an annual point system to grade participants. Under the system, a successful kidney transplant counts as one point. A transplant furnished to a low-income patient, however, counts as 1.2 points thanks to a “health equity performance adjustment,” thus incentivizing the hospitals to prioritize such patients.

    At the end of each year, those points are applied to a transplant quota. Hospitals that meet their quota receive as much as $8,000 per transplant; those that don’t may have to pay up to $2,000 per transplant.While the proposal uses income to categorize patients rather than race, Becerra made clear that the scoring system is meant to address racial concerns.

    The Democrat National Committee (DNC) announced it will virtually nominate Joe Biden to get him on the Ohio ballot despite failing to register him on time.

    Last month Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose warned Ohio Democrat Chairwoman Liz Walters that Joe Biden may have trouble getting on Ohio’s general election ballot.

    In a letter sent to Liz Walters, the Ohio Secretary of State warned that Joe Biden may be non-compliant because the DNC convention will take place after the state’s deadline to certify a presidential candidate.

    Frank LaRose said either the Democrat party can move up its DNC convention or the Ohio state legislature must act by May 9.

    Civil rights organization Bits of Freedom said on Tuesday that it is very concerned about the nomination of Dick Schoof as prime minister. “In the entire domain in which he has been active, repression wins over legal protection. Discrimination often plays a major role,” said Bits of Freedom director Evelyn Austin. Her concerns were shared by CMO, an organization that lobbies on behalf of issues affecting the Muslim community in the Netherlands.
    “This is a man who believes that he is above the law, that the government is above the law. People should be much more concerned about that than they are,” said Austin. Schoof is currently the most senior civil servant at the Ministry of Justice and Security.
    “He has played an important role in the current design of the ministry. With a great emphasis on ‘security’ in a narrow way, on law and order. And with a much smaller emphasis on justice and legal protection. That is one point making us concerned,” said Austin.
    Previously, Schoof was National Coordinator for Security and Counterterrorism (NCTV) and Director General of civilian intelligence agency AIVD. “Under Schoof’s leadership, the NCTV carried out illegal surveillance of people online. They did this knowingly and they felt they had the right to do so,” Austin said. She also pointed out that under Schoof ‘s leadership, “mosques have been infiltrated. That is a huge invasion of the private lives of people who are expressing their faith.”

    Muslims “suffered” greatly when Schoof led the NCTV from 2013 to 2018 because of the terror threat level in the Netherlands, according to Kökta?. In 2021, NRC revealed that municipalities were secretly investigating mosques, paid for by the NCTV. “I don’t know whether he is now becoming extra alert to the Muslim community. That is why we are extra concerned,” said the chairman of the partnership of more than 380 mosques and ten mosque domes.

  14. Chase Bank Building Explodes in Downtown Youngstown, Ohio — One Missing, Six Hospitalized (VIDEO)

    A massive explosion ripped through the heart of downtown Youngstown on Tuesday afternoon, injuring six people and leaving one missing.

    Initial reports suggest a gas leak may be to blame for the devastating incident. Witnesses described hearing a loud boom followed by thick smoke billowing from the Chase Bank building, located on the ground floor of the Realty Building.

    Eyewitnesses, including Debora Flora, executive director of Mahoning County Land Bank, described the scene with harrowing clarity.

    “I heard the boom, and I could see dark smoke coming out of the side of the Chase Bank building… but it was such a really strong, strong boom,” Flora told WKBN.

    Security camera footage from a neighboring business captured the terrifying moment the explosion ripped through the structure, shattering windows and sending debris flying.
