Let’s Be Clear on What We Are Witnessing: Terrorists, Not Freedom Fighters

Hamas and the pro-Palestine rioters in the US laying siege to campuses are terrorists, by definition, not freedom fighters. They both target civilians with violence and threats of violence to bring about political change.
There is an old saying: “The difference between a freedom fighter and a terrorist is victory.” The idea being that the victor gets to write the history and can convert terrorists to heroes. A similar saying is, “One man’s terrorist is another man’s freedom fighter.” The meaning here is that terrorist or freedom fighter is a matter of perspective, and that if you were trying to gain your freedom, you would see the terrorists as freedom fighters. Both of these sayings are wrong, however. Terrorism is a malign methodology, which can be directed at a variety of goals from achieving independence to bringing about Armageddon, or preventing deforestation. The ends do not justify the means, and they certainly do not change the nature of terrorism.
One of the problems with terrorism is that it lacks a single, universally accepted definition. In the US, various federal agencies, intelligence agencies, law enforcement, state and city governments, and courts all operate on differing definitions of terrorism. On a global level, foreign countries and international organizations also have differing definitions of terrorism.

The academic consensus definition of terrorism is one of the most widely accepted, and it incorporates the primary elements present in most other definitions of terrorism used by law enforcement and intelligence agencies. Terrorism involves the use of violence or the threat of violence against civilians or non-combatants. The goal of these violent actions is to achieve political, ideological, or religious objectives. Terrorists seek to intimidate or coerce the government or society into altering policies to better suit the terrorist organization. Finally, terrorism is usually committed by non-state actors.
By the above definition, the American colonists who fought against the British would be freedom fighters, not terrorists. The reason is that they targeted British soldiers, not British civilians. The colonists formed a new national government and created a uniformed army. Consequently, it could be argued that they were not non-state actors.
The 9/11 terrorists, by contrast, did not wear uniforms, were non-state actors (arguably), and specifically targeted civilians. Furthermore, the civilians they targeted had no authority to enact the political changes the terrorists demanded. If US soldiers had targeted British government officials—civilians with decision-making authority—this may not have met the definition of terrorism because the colonists would be attacking the people in power to make decisions. The 9/11 terrorists, by contrast, were hoping to influence those who could make decisions by killing those who could not.
The October 7th Hamas attack on Israel was terrorism because it almost exclusively targeted civilians and those civilians had no ability to change government policies.
There is another saying about terrorism which helps to define its goals and separate them from the goals of a freedom fighter: ‘Terrorism is a few people dying and a lot of people watching.’ In the American Revolution, the colonial army wanted to defeat the British army. Their goal was not to terrorize or wound soldiers in order to coerce the British government. The September 11th attacks in the US and the October 7th attacks in Israel were clearly intended to strike fear and were not intended to significantly cripple the army or to win a military victory.
While some may claim that Hamas are freedom fighters because they want Gaza to be independent of Israel, they qualify as terrorists because the methods they use match the definition of terrorism. They intentionally kill civilians. They also use rape and the taking of hostages. Furthermore, the Hamas Covenant calls for the annihilation of Israel and the Jews, which again, does not match the definition of a freedom fighter. The US colonists never had the elimination of Britain and the British as a goal.
The pro-Palestine protestors are supporting terrorism while also engaging in activities that qualify as terrorism. They have laid siege to universities, threatened and intimidated Jewish students and civilians while calling for death to all Jews. Calls to action are not protected under free speech, and if they are directed at a specific ethnic group, can be considered hate speech. In this case, the intent of these calls is to alter policy; therefore, they should be considered acts of terrorism. The protestors have also engaged in violent confrontations with the police, all in the name of bringing about a change in Israel’s domestic policy.
Under US law, it is illegal to provide material support to terrorists. Consequently, anyone funding these protests should be held accountable. The number of incidents involving ticketless riders and violent or aggressive incidents on the train between Zwolle and Emmen has increased alarmingly, RTV Oost reports based on figures from the province of Overijssel. Extra money and more security personnel seem to have no effect.
The biggest increase was in the number of “B incidents,” in which travelers are searched because they don’t have a ticket or refuse to identify themselves. In the first quarter of 2024, there were 331 such incidents, up from just 40 a year earlier.
The number of violent or aggressive incidents, in which train staff are harassed or assaulted, also increased. Arriva employees were physically assaulted on the train four times in the first quarter. There were also eight cases of threats or intimidation, illegal weapon possession, or theft.
For years, the Vechtdal line, as the route between Zwolle and Emmen is known, has been plagued by incidents. Locals blame its proximity to the asylum registration center in Ter Apel, according to the broadcaster. In 2021, Overijssel allocated 1 million euros to curb nuisance on the route. That money was invested in extra security teams to support enforcement officers on the train and on the platform, among other things.
Arriva attributes the increase in incidents to the fact that travelers are no longer checked on the platform but on the train. “In other words: the fare dodgers are already on the train when they are caught at the checks. Since April last year, the additional Service & Safety team has also been on call on the route. That is reflected in the figures,” Arriva spokesperson told the broadcaster. According to RTV Oost, the figures indeed show a decrease in incidents after the first quarter of 2023.
“Shocking,” Wim Eilert of the trade union VVMC told RTV Oost in response to the figures. “It is now more luck than wisdom that there has not yet been a fatality. The level of aggression has become much worse.” He appealed to politicians to allocate even more money to addressing the “nuisance train.” He also urged Arriva to restore access controls on the platform. “Then you ensure that you do not have those causing nuisance on the train at the start of the journey.”
The province of Overijssel allocated 1 million euros annually until 2027 to improve safety on the train. “The resources allocated for the Vechtdal line are there to keep incidents manageable,” a spokesperson for the province said. “What we get from the figures is that the stewards on the train have a better sense of safety because the backup team can come to the rescue if necessary.”

“According to court documents, beginning in at least December 2014 and continuing through at least November 2021, Congressman Cuellar and Imelda Cuellar allegedly accepted approximately $600,000 in bribes from two foreign entities: an oil and gas company wholly owned and controlled by the Government of Azerbaijan, and a bank headquartered in Mexico City. The bribe payments were allegedly laundered, pursuant to sham consulting contracts, through a series of front companies and middlemen into shell companies owned by Imelda Cuellar, who performed little to no legitimate work under the contracts.” the DOJ said.
Cuellar and his wife are facing a maximum of 204 years in prison.
Per the DOJ: Congressman Cuellar and Imelda Cuellar are each charged with the following offenses and if convicted, face maximum penalties as indicated: two counts of conspiracy to commit bribery of a federal official and to have a public official act as an agent of a foreign principal, five years in prison on each count; two counts of bribery of a federal official, 15 years in prison on each count; two counts of conspiracy to commit honest services wire fraud, 20 years in prison on each count; two counts of violating the ban on public officials acting as agents of a foreign principal, two years in prison on each count; one count of conspiracy to commit concealment money laundering, 20 years in prison; and five counts of money laundering, 20 years in prison on each count.
Rep. Cuellar, a nine-term Texas Democrat lawmaker who represents an area along the US-Mexico border, previously lashed out at both Joe Biden and Kamala Harris for allowing illegal aliens to pour over the border.
“I’ve moved on from the vice president to say, ‘OK, let’s work with the ambassadors and let’s work with the State Department. Let’s work with the Homeland Secretary,’” Cuellar said before the holidays in 2021.
“I think that’s the way to address it, but I know that the media has put a lot of focus on the vice president, but with all due respect, she was given that title. I don’t think she’s, with all due respect, put the effort in there…We’ve got to look at other folks that have the expertise on that,” he added.
Cuellar was raided by the FBI and subpoenaed in 2022 shortly after he blasted Biden Regime.

Major US law firm sues Students for Justice in Palestine for alleged support of Hamas ‘terrorist activities’
Nine survivors of the Oct. 7 terrorist attacks on southern Israel brought a federal lawsuit pointing to the escalating nationwide college protests broiling with antisemitism, arguing that National Students for Justice in Palestine (NSJP) and its parent organization are working in the United States “as collaborators and propagandists for Hamas.”
Through NSJP, AJP Educational Foundation Inc. – also known as American Muslims for Palestine (AMP) – allegedly “uses propaganda to intimidate, convince, and recruit uninformed, misguided, and impressionable college students to serve as foot soldiers for Hamas on campus and beyond,” according to the lawsuit filed on Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern Division of Virginia, Alexandria Division.
The litigation, brought by major U.S. and global law firm Greenberg Traurig, alleges AMP “serves as Hamas’s propaganda division in the United States” and “was founded from the ashes of disbanded organizations created by senior Hamas officials after those organizations and related individuals were found criminally and civilly liable for providing material support to Hamas and other affiliated terrorist groups.”
In 2010, AMP expanded its operation to American college campuses when it founded NSJP “to control hundreds of Students for Justice in Palestine (‘SJP’) chapters across the country,” the lawsuit says.
“This case is not about independent political advocacy. It is about organizations whose very creation was intended to provide continuous, systematic, and substantial assistance to a Foreign Terrorist Organization and its allies,” the complaint states.

Judge Blocks Suspensions Of Middle School Female Athletes Who Refused To Compete Against Male Student

A West Virginia judge granted a preliminary injunction allowing several middle school girls to compete after the school district banned them from competition after refusing to play against a biological male, according to 12 WBOY, a local media outlet.
Five middle school female athletes forfeited their positions at a track meet in April after they were informed that they would have to compete against a biological male, prompting the school district to allegedly bar the girls from future competitions, according to WDTV News. The students sued, and Republican Attorney General Patrick Morrisey of West Virginia filed an amicus brief in support of the students.
A Harrison County judge ordered that the school’s decision be temporarily halted while the lawsuit plays out, according to 12 WBOY.
“I want to say to these students and their parents: I have your backs,” Morrisey said in a press release. “You saw unfairness and you expressed your disappointment and sacrificed your personal performances in a sport that you love; exercised your constitutionally protected freedom of speech and expression.”

Houthis Warn Drone & Missile Attack Coverage Expanding To Mediterranean Sea

Yahya Saree, spokesperson for the Iranian-backed Houthi terror group, declared in a televised speech to supporters at a Friday rally in Al-Sabeen Square, Sana, that they intend to target Israel-linked ships in the eastern Mediterranean. The risk of conflict spilling over from the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden remains high.
“We will target any ship heading to Israeli ports in the Mediterranean, in any area we are able to reach,” Saree said.
Given that the eastern Mediterranean is 1,900 kilometers (1,180 miles) from Yemen, this may indicate that the conflict area is broadening, triggering a new escalation of the multi-month war.
Fernando Ferreira, energy analyst at Rapidan Energy Group, noted:
“The Houthi nuisance continues, but they are at the limit of their ability to cause disruptions. The real risk of escalation comes from Israeli retaliation on IRGC officers/assets helping the Houthis.”
This comes as Houthis have attacked dozens of Western and Israel-linked commercial vessels and military ships across the southern Red Sea, Bab al-Mandab Strait, Gulf of Aden, and even the Strait of Hormuz since last November. The group claims these maritime attacks are in solidarity with the Palestinians in Gaza.
Saree warned if the Israel Defense Forces launched an attack on the southern Gaza city of Rafah, where hundreds of thousands of Palestinians are sheltering from the seven-month-long war. They would’ve no other choice but to impose sanctions on all ships of the companies that are supplying Israel and entering Israeli ports.
What’s clear—and the West won’t like it—is that the Houthis appear to be expanding their attack coverage as numerous maritime chokepoints in the region are under constant threat.

Maritime traffic data from Bloomberg shows not one single LNG vessel with destinations to Europe and the US was transiting the Red Sea for fear of being attacked by Houthi drones and missiles.

A former government official has been charged with making multiple false statements implicating his former colleagues in the January 6th Capitol event, according to court documents.
Miguel Zapata, a former government official, was arrested Thursday and has been accused of misusing the FBI’s anonymous tip website.
Special Agent Cole Ashcraft, who is assigned to the FBI’s Washington Field Office Cyber Task Force, indicated that the false statements were made between February and April 2021 through the FBI’s online tip portal.
The agency began scrutinizing these tips after noticing similarities in their wording and the dates they were submitted. Investigations linked the submissions to IP addresses owned by a service that provides anonymous web access, eventually tracing them back to Zapata.
Zapata allegedly submitted false claims suggesting that various government employees and contractors, some of whom are affiliated with an unnamed intelligence agency, were involved in or supported the events of January 6.

The Internal Revenue Service is demanding a further $20 billion from Congress in order to hire another 14,000 more employees as part of an effort to better “serve taxpayers.”
According to IRS Commissioner, Daniel Werfel, the agency needs the money in order to fund technology upgrades and improve its customer service:
The IRS will continue focusing on making improvements and efficient use of funding. But to stress the importance of continuing this momentum, the IRS will continue working to make a difference for the nation’s taxpayers. At the same time, it’s critical that the IRS has stable, secure funding to allow technology modernization and taxpayer service improvements to continue into the future.
Werfel added that he plans to hire a further 14,000 employees over the next few years, with an estimated workforce of 102,500 by 2029.

Back in December 2022, The Gateway Pundit reported that House Republicans had collected emails and text messages implicating Pelosi in the failed January 6 Capitol security operation.
Recall, it was President Donald Trump who recommended 10,000 National Guard troops at the US Capitol on Jan. 6. Pelosi turned him down.

Representative Henry Cuellar, a Texas Democrat, was recently implicated for accepting a $600,000 bribe from an oil company in Azerbaijan. He is being charged with working as an agent for a foreign entity while a U.S. government official because he lobbied Congress on the company’s behalf. The bribe was tied to a money laundering scheme that cycled through a bank in Mexico. Cuellar is also being accused of attempting to weaken US money laundering rules, particularly those that would hurt Mexican banks. Frighteningly, Cuellar is the leading Democrat on the Homeland Security Appropriations Subcommittee.
Cuellar being coopted by foreign forces is a serious national security concern. Sadly, this is just the most recent case of a foreign entity or foreign government buying influence with elected officials in the US.
Last year, Senator Robert Menendez, Democrat of New Jersey, along with his wife, was charged with accepting bribes from corporations in Egypt.
In 2013, the government-owned State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) provided $750,000 for 10 members of Congress and 32 staffers to go on a junket to Baku, the country’s capital. In addition to the all-expense-paid luxury trip, the invitees also received thousands of dollars in gifts. Among the beneficiaries of Baku’s largesse were three former top aides to President Obama.

The New York Police Department (NYPD) has uncovered alarming discoveries within a pro-Palestinian encampment on a college campus. According to reports, the police found weapons and a book on terrorism while clearing the encampment.
NYPD Deputy Commissioner of Operations Kaz Daughtry shared a concerning update from Columbia University’s Hamilton Hall on X.
“Pencils, books, laptops, those are the tools of students and what you expect to find on a college campus. But here’s what the NYPD found in Hamilton Hall at Columbia University after we were able to arrest the protestors and agitators for commandeering and barricading themselves inside the building. Gas masks, ear plugs, helmets, goggles, tape, hammers, knives, ropes, and a book on TERRORISM,” he wrote.
