Reader’s Links for March 6th, 2024

Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

  1. In extension to yesterday’s essay by Vlad on derangement syndrome, Western politicians and their media are responsible for hundreds of thousands of deaths and injuries by creating PDS, or Putin Derangement Syndrome.

It turns out the terms and conditions offered two years ago by the Boris Johnson-negated Uke peace deal were remarkably generous and restrained given the crimes committed by proxy players. This great tragedy should be more widely understood, as should all subjects of manufactured derangement syndromes, including potentially Benjamin Netanyahu, lest their people suffer similar fates.

The Dark Secret of Jew Hatred: Pleasure
The fury has reached such a frenzy that I’ve been wondering if there’s a deeper motivation at work.

One can always find a good reason, in other words, to hate, resent or envy Jews. These reasons are usually framed intellectually. We want to understand how the minds of haters work, even when they appear irrational, because understanding helps us cope.

But something feels different since Oct. 7. The primal seems to have overtaken the cognitive. We’ve rarely seen such hysterics. Whether on college campuses or city streets, protesters are bursting with a fanatical exuberance. The fury has reached such a frenzy that I’ve been wondering if there’s a deeper motivation at work, something as simple as… pleasure.

“There are (at least) three principal sources of pleasure which anti-Semitism provides…
First, the pleasure of hatred; second, the pleasure of tradition, and third, the pleasure of displaying moral purity. Each of these is an independent source of satisfaction, but the three interact in various ways, which often strengthens their effects.”

  5. “They Have No Control Illegal Immigrants Everywhere” – Rapper Meek Mill Warns Americans to “Strap Up” Because America is Extremely Dangerous Today Under Democrat Policies
    by Jordan Conradson Mar. 6, 2024 8:30 am299 Comments

Hip-hop rapper Meek Mill warned Americans to arm themselves against violent crime and illegal immigrants this week, noting that Biden and the Democrats “have no control” over the border and over weapons and drug smuggling into the inner cities.

This comes shortly after the horrific murder of Georgia college student Laken Riley by an illegal alien suspect named Jose Ibarra. This also comes after countless rapes and murders committed by the illegals that Biden rolled out the red carpet for.

The rapper tweeted on Monday, “Make sure you strap up in America it’s extremely dangerous on the streets!”

“They have no control illegal immigrants everywhere… automatic guns flooded the inner city’s … [fentanyl] poison in most drugs … opioids melting the brains of humans .. and algorithms mind control,” he added, all but naming the Democrats.

Not only does the Biden Regime have no control of the crisis, but they’re actively aiding and abetting the invasion by operating secret charter flights to transport illegal immigrants from foreign airports to various U.S. cities.

Real America’s Voice correspondent Ben Bergquam was the first to report on this treason last week after he discovered “15-acre facilities” in the Darién gap between Colombia and Panama that the United States is using to process and smuggle illegals into the United States before they even reach the border.

“This administration is both importing voters and creating a national security threat from unvetted illegal immigrants. It is highly probable that the groundwork is being laid for something far worse than 9/11. Just a matter of time,” Elon Musk warned on X.

  6. Biden Supporters Freak Out Over Border Wall Construction Pictures

I’ve been working on the border since 2019. I was the videographer for the organization We Build the Wall, founded by triple-amputee Air Force veteran Brian Kolfage who is currently serving time in prison over a leftwing lawfare attack.

I filmed the construction of the first-ever privately funded border wall that Kolfage’s organization had built. After that, they sent me around the world to film border walls in 7 countries for a documentary.

I’ve worked on border projects ever since and conducted my own missions, my most recent one being seven weeks camped in Lukeville, Arizona, filming the complete breakdown of order and about 50,000 illegal aliens from around the world crossover.

  7. Boxing Superstar Ryan Garcia Shockingly Claims Evidence of Elite Child Trafficking — Alleges He was Forced to Watch Children Being Raped and Says He Has Video Proof (AUDIO)
    by Jim H?ft Mar. 6, 2024 9:30 am261 Comments

Boxer superstar Ryan Garcia has come forward with harrowing allegations of elite child trafficking circles and disturbing personal experiences. The acclaimed boxer, known for his explosive speed and impeccable 24-1 record, is now at the center of a controversy that threatens to overshadow his upcoming fight against Devin Haney.

In a recent conversation with internet personality and professional kickboxer Andrew Tate, Garcia made a harrowing claim that he was held down and forced to watch the sexual abuse of children, suggesting a connection to the clandestine gathering known as Bohemian Grove.

“I don’t give a f—k, bro. They held me down and they made me watch little kids get raped. I don’t give a f—k anymore. They f—king took me to the f—king woods, bro. I’m not f—king joking, bro. I have f—king proof, bro. I don’t give a f—k, bro. I f—king will show you every f—king video you could ever f—king believe. Bohemian Grove is real. They f—king tied me down and they made me f—king watch. I absolutely don’t give a f—k anymore,” said Garcia.

  8. HAITI HELL: Rebel Leader Jimmy ‘Barbecue’ Chérizier Demands PM Henry Resignation, Threatens Genocide on the Violence-Plagued Nation – Henry Finally Shows up… in Puerto Rico!
    by Paul Serran Mar. 6, 2024 11:30 am118 Comments

It makes no sense anymore to call former Haitian elite cop Jimmy Chérizier a ‘gang leader’.

His heavily armed men control over 80% of Capital Port-au-Prince. They have successfully released almost 5K prisoners from jail. They attacked the main airport and the police academy, almost always overwhelming the police and army forces.

So, we can safely say: Jimmy ‘Barbecue’ Chérizier is a rebel commander – a successful one – and very possibly the next ‘military junta’ leader of Haiti, unless things change radically in the next days.

Chérizier declared yesterday (5) that Haitian Prime Minister Ariel Henry must resign. The alternative, he threatened, is an imminent ‘genocide’ in the Caribbean country.

  9. Mediators Try to Buy More Time as Israel, Hamas Dig In Heels on Truce Talks
U.S. and Arab countries have proposed a humanitarian pause as negotiations stall in Cairo

CAIRO—U.S. and Arab negotiators proposed a short pause in fighting in the Gaza Strip to buy time for a longer cease-fire between Israel and Hamas, as talks appeared stuck with time running out for a deal before a Ramadan deadline.
Tuesday’s push for a shorter cease-fire—even lasting a few days—could prove to both sides that the other is serious about a longer deal, negotiators said. Israel and some negotiators believe Hamas only wants to escalate fighting to inflame regional tensions during Islam’s holy month in March while Hamas points to Israel’s threat to launch a final offensive on Gaza’s southern border if no agreement is reached.
As the war in Gaza persisted on Tuesday, a silver lining in talks emerged when all sides agreed to keep talking for another day in the Egyptian capital, where mediators expect negotiations in the coming days to either result in a deal or break down into more bloodshed.
The U.S. and Arab negotiators pushed to keep talks going Tuesday as political pressure piled on the Biden administration to produce a pause in fighting in Gaza that has left more than 30,000 Palestinians dead, according to Gaza health authorities, who don’t distinguish between civilians and militants. The U.S. has grown frustrated with Israel as one of its closest allies oversees a humanitarian crisis that includes reports of children dying from malnutrition.
On Monday, in a meeting with Israeli war-cabinet member Benny Gantz, Vice President Kamala Harris criticized Israel’s handling of Gaza’s humanitarian needs, said an Israeli official familiar with the matter.
“There’s a lot of criticism and mistrust” toward Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the official said, after previous assurances he made to the administration weren’t kept. “There were harsh messages on aid and strategic clarity moving forward.”

  11. Hochul to deploy National Guard, state police to combat NYC subway crime

MTA will ramp up bag checks and possibly add metal detectors in subways

NEW YORK (WABC) — Governor Kathy Hochul revealed a five-point plan Wednesday to bring additional state resources to bear on combatting subway crime in New York City.

The plan includes the deployment of 750 National Guard members and 250 New York State and MTA police officers into the subway system, and additional teams to handle cases involving people exhibiting signs of mental illness.

The new deployment adds to the additional 1000 NYPD officers ordered into the subway last month to conduct bag checks and follows the slashing of a conductor and other high profile crimes.

Hochul is also calling for people deemed to be too dangerous by a judge to be banned from the subway. She is pushing for a state law that allows judges to block a person from riding the subway or buses for three years if they are convicted of attacking a passenger.

Hochul is asking for district attorneys to coordinate to keep these repeat offenders out of the transit system.

    • Military State: Gov. Hochul to Deploy National Guard to Combat New York City Subway Crime
      by Anthony Scott Mar. 6, 2024 3:20 pm397 Comments

New York Governor Kathy Hochul has revealed a new plan to deploy 750 National Guard members in a desperate attempt to combat the rampant crimes plaguing New York City’s subway system.

On Wednesday, Hochul announced a new five-point plan that will deploy 750 National Guard members, 250 New York State officers, and additional MTA officers to curve the uptick in crime happening regularly at Subway Stations in New York City.

Hochul’s new order adds to the 1,000 NYPD officers already stationed at subway stations across NYC’s five boroughs.

NYPD Transit Chief Michael Kemper revealed that arrests in the NYC subway system are up 45% from 2023.

Chief Kemper also shared that there have been over 3,000 arrests in the subway system in just the first two months of 2024.

The Truth About Florida State Guard’s Special Operations Unit
Ammoland Inc. Posted on March 6, 2024 by Lee Williams

Founders wanted to create similar special operations units across a coalition of states, which would not be subject to federal oversight or presidential authority.

When Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis announced he was “reactivating” the Florida State Guard nearly two years ago, veteran special operators and business partners Brandon Graves and Tom Morton knew they could contribute, so they locked themselves in their office and began writing an unsolicited proposal that they planned to send to the governor’s team.

Graves and Morton had recently opened Stronghold SOF Solutions, a one-of-a-kind tactical training facility located in Florida’s Panhandle. Stronghold’s training staff are all former special operators. The 50-acre facility is just minutes from the 7th Special Forces Group. Just a few of Stronghold’s offerings include a two-story live-fire shoot house, a 4160-foot runway, four 360-degree dynamic ranges, MOUT/SOUC sites, an underground training facility and a demolition range that can support up to 40-pound charges. The facility has a clubhouse, drone-friendly airspace and helos – a Soviet-designed Mi-17 and a Boeing MH-6, better known as a Little Bird, which has become the taxi of choice for many special operators.

In their proposal, Graves and Morton wrote of an untapped resource – retired special operations veterans – who would be the perfect force to fulfil FSG’s mission of responding to natural or manmade disasters. They offered to select, train and validate a 60-man special operations force.

“We got their attention in Tallahassee,” Graves said. “They were excited about it.”

Morton said the concept they floated in their proposal is the same concept that led to the creation of Stronghold.

“One reason we built this place was to be a stronghold for our colleagues getting out,” he said. “We wanted this to be a place to help guys springboard into their next life. The GWOT (Global War on Terror) is basically over, and there are thousands of guys with 20 or more years of experience in special operations, which cost the government millions of dollars to produce. We’re trying to leverage that talent and make it available to this state and other states.”

Florida awarded Stronghold SOF Solutions a no-bid contract worth up to $1.2 million. Graves and Morton knew the legacy media would push back against their efforts, yet neither special operator anticipated the ferocity of the media’s attack.
    A 450-year history

The Florida State Guard traces its lineage to 1565, when the Spanish in St. Augustine stood up the first company of armed citizen volunteers, according to the FSG website.

Three-hundred and seventy-six years later, in 1941, President Franklin D. Roosevelt federalized many states’ National Guard units and sent them to war. In response, the Florida Legislature created today’s Florida State Guard to safeguard the Sunshine State.

On June 14, 2022, DeSantis announced he was reactivating the FSG with a “statewide rapid response land-based, maritime, and aviation capabilities.”

Last week, 205 candidates passed the FSG’s three-week Initial Entry Training and will join the 120 State Guardsmen who were already part of the group.

“The Florida State Guard serves an important role in emergency response for the state. I am pleased to see this important volunteer force continue to grow to serve the people of Florida,” DeSantis said in a statement.

While many of these candidates had prior military service, they should not be confused with the 60-man special operations force Graves and Morton helped create, which is known officially as the Florida State Guard Special Operations Company, or SOC.
A drone equipped with night vision captures a “squirter” during training at Stronghold’s live-fire shoot house. (All photos, screenshots and videos courtesy of Stronghold SOF Solutions.)
    Special Operations Company

The SOC is chock-full of tabs, tridents, wings and berets. Its members include former Navy SEALs, Army Rangers and Special Forces, MARSOC Marines, Air Force Special Operations veterans and more.

“The vast majority are prior SOF guys, but we did select a few other skills,” Morton said. “The FSG has a more law enforcement-centric mission rather than purely military, so we attempted to build a team that would be successful at this mission.”

“Every one of them has the SOF mindset,” Graves said. “We vetted and trained all of them.”

The state agreed to purchase guns and gear for the SOC. As it stands now, the 60 members are issued Sig-Sauer P-320 9mm handguns and Sig-Sauer MCX-SPEAR carbines.

The kit state officials purchased for the SOC leaves a little to be desired. However, special operators are seldom satisfied with any issued gear.

    Three things at once

The state contract required Stronghold to “select, train and validate” a 60-man force in just two weeks.

“Those three aspects of a training environment are located at different points in a SOF unit’s work-up cycle,” Morton said. “And we had two weeks to do all of that. Fortunately, for the SOF community, training never really stops. We piggy-backed off of the military’s investment. We really just needed to perform a function check, to make sure all the skills were still there.”

Stronghold’s trainers started with a series of rifle and pistol qualifications on a flat range, along with vehicle work and bail-out drills. The trainers transitioned to battlefield medical training, using Special Forces 18-Delta medics. All members are now certified in TCCC (Tactical Combat Casualty Care).

During week one, the operators worked on individual Close Quarters Battle skills in the shoot house. “We were watching closely,” Morton said. “We were taking metrics of everything.”

During week two they focused on team-based skills, including aircraft operations with the Mi-17 and Little Bird. The second week added maritime skills, which were taught by a Coast Guardsman and Navy SEALs and included VBSS (Visit Board Search and Seizure) missions in the Gulf of Mexico.

“The best way to think about this training is less military and more like Coast Guard or law enforcement stops out on the water,” Morton said.

Toward the end of week two, the students were put through validating exercises – full mission profiles of maritime interdictions on the water, and hostage rescue missions using simunitions, which were conducted in the shoot house.

“They received their warning order, planned, moved to the shoot house, entered, cleared and exfilled,” Graves said. “We had excellent role players who would escalate their behavior during the training. It started with verbal abuse, throwing things, then brandishing a weapon but not pointing it. In the final escalation, the role player would point and shoot. We were really hyper-focused on when to use force. These guys really shouldn’t need to go to that level yet. We want to make sure they’re ready, but we don’t anticipate anything close to that level of threat.”

    Media pushback

The legacy media has tried to label Graves as a DeSantis supporter as if to imply that Stronghold’s no-bid contract was awarded for personal or political reasons. However, neither Gaves nor Morton or Stronghold have ever donated a dollar to any of DeSantis’ political campaigns. (Nor have they ever met DeSantis personally.)

This type of bashing was expected.

“It’s fair to say we quickly realized there was a political aspect to all of this,” Morton said. “Whenever politics are involved, the media is going to take every opportunity to spin it in a different way – their way. There are a lot of training companies out there, but I’m not aware of one like ours in the state of Florida – especially one with our facilities.”

What was not expected was the media’s bashing of an American hero.

“The engagement of a combat training company with links to an accused war criminal raises serious questions about the intentions of Florida Governor DeSantis’s civilian military force,” a reporter wrote of one Stronghold trainer, retired Navy SEAL Chief Eddie Gallagher.

To single out Gallagher was a new low and extremely unfair, Morton said.

“If they really knew his story, he’s a guy who served his country for 20 years. He’s a true warfighter. He’s been in the worst situations. He pushed through Mosul, which was extreme. He took care of his guys. In my opinion, he is a great example of what a patriot should be. They really used all that against him. Most of the media’s negative coverage that’s been pointed at us was through our relationship with Eddie,” Morton said.

To be clear, Gallagher ran afoul of the normal tension and distrust that exists between the conventional Navy and the extremely unconventional SEAL Teams. It’s something any special operator can face, regardless of their branch of service. Gallagher was charged with seven crimes but acquitted of six. President Trump immediately congratulated Gallagher via Twitter. Four weeks later, Trump ordered the Secretary of the Navy to revoke the Navy Achievement Medals, which were given to Gallagher’s prosecutors as a reward for their prosecution.

The Navy didn’t give up despite the acquittal and ordered Gallagher demoted from E-7 to E-6. Trump intervened and stopped the demotion cold. Undeterred, the Navy quickly convened a “Trident Review Board,” to determine whether Gallaher should be stripped of his SEAL Trident. For Trump, that was too much. He tweeted: “The Navy will NOT be taking away Warfighter and Navy Seal Eddie Gallagher’s Trident Pin. This case was handled very badly from the beginning. Get back to business!”

Graves has zero regrets. He and Morton consider Gallagher a close friend and one of their best instructors.

“In special operations, there are guys who are trained and guys who are experienced,” he said. “Eddie is both trained and experienced. From a practical standpoint, he is one of the best guys we could bring in. He is a confident, capable, highly experienced guy. Unfortunately, the system turned its teeth on him.”

    New Federalism

Graves and Morton are in talks with officials in Texas and Louisiana who have expressed interest in creating special operations units in their states.

“It’s federalism – trying to get the decision making back to the state level,” Graves said. “We need a system where the states can rely on each other. We can create similar units in a coalition of states if they put the financial means behind it. We can vet, train and run the exact program, so anytime there’s a manmade or naturals disaster, the states can send each other resources.”

Morton added that they are not trying to replace federal resources. They want to give governors additional options.

“We are certainly not opposed to federal assistance,” Morton said. “What we are really getting at is trying to help state create the environment where states have the means to solve their own problems.”

Said Graves: “The concept whereby states begin to arm themselves and build the capabilities of State Guards removes the ability of the federal government to leverage their assistance.”

  14. It’s Official: Louisiana Becomes 28th State to Adopt Permitless Carry
    By Cam Edwards | 2:29 PM | March 05, 2024

Louisiana Gov. Jeff Landry campaigned on a pro-Constitutional Carry platform last fall, and the former Attorney General wasted no time at all to fulfill his campaign promise. Just a little more than two weeks after a permitless carry bill was formally introduced in a special session on crime and public safety, Landry put pen to paper today and officially made concealed carry licenses optional in the Sportsmans Paradise.

“Today, we join 27 other states in passing Constitutional Carry. I promised the folks of Louisiana that I would champion Constitutional Carry into law, and within two months, I have honored that commitment,” Republican Gov. Jeff Landry told Fox News Digital.

“It’s fundamentally clear — law-abiding citizens should never have to seek government permission to safeguard themselves and their families. Today, we have secured an incredible victory for liberty in Louisiana. I want to thank Louisiana’s NRA members for their great work.”

Landry signed the NRA-backed Senate Bill 1 into law Tuesday, which allows eligible residents 18 and older to carry a concealed handgun without a permit.

SB 1’s primary author, Republican state Sen. Blake Miguez exclusively told Fox News Digital that the governor’s signature “marks a key milestone in our enduring quest for liberty.”

“Today, Louisiana asserts its unwavering commitment to the Second Amendment by enacting Constitutional Carry, a move that embodies the absolute right of law-abiding citizens to bear arms. Governor Landry’s pivotal role, combined with the steadfast support from legislators across both chambers, has been crucial in reaffirming our dedication to the rights of law-abiding citizens. Our success owes much to the tireless efforts of NRA members and Second Amendment defenders throughout the state, whose advocacy has been indispensable,” Miguez said.

Second Amendment advocates never gave up in their quest to enshrine Constitutional Carry into law, even after then-Gov. John Bel Edwards vetoed a similar bill in 2021 and a handful of lawmakers flipped their votes in an override session, allowing the governor’s veto to stand. Most of the flip-floppers are no longer in the legislature, but it was Landry’s embrace of the measure that ensured this would be the year that Lousiiana joined more than half the country in removing a needless barrier to the right to bear arms.

Elections have consequences, and in this case good ones for Second Amendment supporters. Starting this Independence Day, if you can lawfully possess a firearm in the state you’ll be able to lawfully carry without the need for a state-issued license. This applies to everyone 18 and older, even those who live outside the state, so folks won’t have to worry if their state has reciprocity with Louisiana.

Will we see a 29th state adopt Constitutional Carry this year? The jury’s still out in South Carolina, where a conference committee is trying to come up with a bill that’s amenable to both the House and Senate, which have passed competing measures rejected by the other chamber. The conference committee comprised of six lawmakers is currently holding meetings, and if they can craft a bill that they support it will be sent to the House and Senate for an up-or-down vote without the possibility of making any changes.

Louisiana has shown the Palmetto State the way forward. In just a matter of weeks, lawmakers in Baton Rouge made more progress than their counterparts in Columbia have made in a year. Now’s the time for South Carolina legislators to follow the lead of their Louisiana colleagues and to adopt a clean Constitutional Carry bill of their own.

Congratulations to gun owners and 2A activists in the Pelican State, who never gave up even when the state’s good-old-boy politics was used to subvert the legislative process. The passage and adoption of this year’s legislation may have been quick and painless, but Landry’s signing is still the culmination of a years-long fight to restore the right to carry to its rightful status, and today’s signing ceremony wouldn’t have taken place without their efforts.

  15. Control. Instead, They’re Buying Guns.
    By Tom Knighton | 12:29 PM | March 06, 2024
    AP Photo/Marco Garcia, File

President Joe Biden is still pushing gun control onto the American people. He’s absolutely convinced the public wants restrictions on our right to keep and bear arms. At least, he’s convinced of that when he can remember what a gun actually is.

Regardless, the president has been pushing it since he started campaigning in 2019, so it’s no surprise that it’s been a point of consistency.

What is surprising is that despite all the studies and polls that try to tell us that the public wants restrictions, they truth is that they’re buying guns like crazy.

The nation’s gun-buying binge remained robust last month amid the Biden administration’s latest plans to cut sales and intimidate customers.

The FBI said it conducted 2,336,390 checks through its National Instant Criminal Background Check System. The National Shooting Sports Foundation, the industry trade group, said that included an estimated 1,343,478 specifically for gun sales.

February was the 55th consecutive month that gun sales approved by the FBI exceeded 1 million. NSSF said the number was likely higher since the FBI count does not include all other legal pathways to obtaining a firearm.

The NSSF’s Mark Oliva said this was likely a reaction to Biden’s efforts to tighten gun control, which isn’t overly surprising.

During the Obama administration, the president was the gun salesman of the year for eight straight years. Biden has been no different.

I’ve long maintained that a lot of people want guns but because these aren’t inexpensive items nor higher ticket goods the whole family will enjoy day in, day out, firearm purchases get put on the back burner. Folks figure there’s always time to get them.

But when someone like Biden comes along and starts to rattle the saber about restricting things, “there’s always time” becomes “I’d better do something while I can.”

And let’s face it, guns are like Lays potato chips. Betcha can’t buy just one.

Once the seal is broken, the buying continues.

So really, this is all on Biden. The firearm industry thanks him for their service.

Remember the “Trump Slump” from a few years ago, where gun makers built up massive stocks of firearms in expectation that Hillary would win, only to see being sort of slow down when Trump won?

Yeah, I’d say those days are over entirely.

Here’s the depressing part, though. At least some of those who are buying guns for the first time currently support gun control initiatives.

That’s right. They’re not gun voters.

    Not yet, at least.

As we saw during the pandemic, a lot of people were surprised to find out that guns aren’t as easily acquired as they’ve been told. There’s no “gun show loophole” and there’s no buying a gun on the internet and skipping a background check.

What’s more, as gun owners are demonized, there will be pushback from those who previously supported at least some gun control measures who know the stereotypes don’t apply to them. They’re going to get bent out of shape over being told they have a gun because they’re overcompensating for small genitals–a common refrain that, frankly, deserves it’s own post addressing at some point or another.

The more that happens, the more those folks get pushed toward becoming gun voters and they start to recognize the issues with red flag laws and universal background checks.

So please, let’s hope this continues for a good long time.

‘Abhorrent’ scenes aboard live cattle export ship as it heads to Iraq
    https://www.timeslive.co.za/news/south-africa/2024-02-21-abhorrent-scenes-aboard-live-cattle-export-ship-as-it-heads-to-iraq/
The scenes aboard a live cattle export ship that ignited public outrage after docking in Cape Town were “abhorrent”, says the National Council of SPCAs.
The vessel, Al Kuwait, stopped in the city to load feed for about 19,000 cattle on a journey from Brazil to Iraq. It set sail on Tuesday evening.
“The scenes on the vessel were abhorrent, with an extreme build-up of faeces and urine and animals having no option but to rest in dams of their own excrement,” said the NSPCA.
“Compromised animals were discovered, including diseased and injured animals. The NSPCA humanely euthanised eight cows aboard the ship and others were found dead. NSPCA veterinary consultant Dr Bryce Marock ensured treatment of other animals.”
The NSPCA said the incident was a stark reminder that live export of animals by sea was a gruesome and outdated practice, inflicting unnecessary suffering.
The animal welfare organisation thanked government for allowing the ship to dock to load feed for the animals.
“The potential consequences of leaving those animals without sustenance during the arduous journey are unfathomable.
“We appreciate government’s recognition, now more than ever, of the necessity for regulations rather than mere guidelines regarding the export of animals. While a complete ban on live animal exports via sea remains the ultimate goal, we urge government to refrain from authorising another shipment from South Africa until these regulations are firmly established as a matter of utmost urgency.”

  17. Thugs Beat and Stomp Helpless Illinois High School Student into Unconsciousness – Parents Reveal the Steps the School Took to Cover Up the Assault (VIDEO)
    by Cullen Linebarger Mar. 6, 2024 3:40 pm218 Comments

Shocking footage has emerged showing the moments an innocent high school junior from Wheaton, Illinois was beaten into unconsciousness by two fellow students. Even worse, credible information reveals infuriating steps the school took to sweep the incident under the rug.

The video, which has gone viral today thanks to Libs of Tiktok, shows a white kid being assaulted by two other individuals in a bathroom at Wheaton Warrenville South. The thugs are seen beating and stomping on the poor youth while one shouts, “What the f**k is wrong with you!”

The unconscious victim is then carried out of the bathroom by other students. One can be heard saying, “Oh, sh*t!” while another says, “Someone go get a nurse.”

The mother of the student told Patch that the sickening incident occurred on February 28. Her child was wholly unconscious and suffered a seizure.

She revealed the boy was taken to the emergency room, where he was treated for a concussion, “multiple contusions,” and bruising.

Moreover, she revealed some infuriating details regarding how the school acted to downplay and cover up the horrific assault.

The teen’s mom said that despite her son being out cold, school officials did not immediately call 911.

“School personnel who were there with my son were not getting him medical attention,” she said.

The victim’s mother explained that these actions by adults, including Principal Lorie Campos, are an ongoing pattern at the school.

“This is not just because of my son, but because this is not isolated, and the way they are trying to push this under the rug is not unique to this situation with my son,” the mother explained.

It gets worse, though. The victim’s mother said the altercation began after one student called her son a name, which she says prompted him to ask the boy if he wanted to go into the bathroom. Campos used this as an excuse to suspend the beaten child for ten days despite him not landing a blow on the perpetrators.

Even more enraging, concerned fellow school parents said the two thugs who beat and stomped the teen into unconsciousness were suspended for only TWO DAYS, eight less than the victim. They also revealed school officials NEVER called the cops.

Moreover, there were reportedly five other fights that day.

The victim’s mom closed her interview with Patch by saying she hopes any attention surrounding her son’s assault will encourage other student victims to speak out.

To me, it’s a consistent, pervasive minimizing, and some of these poor kids have endured things very similar to this.

  21. U.S. pushes for initial Gaza ceasefire without return of hostages

While holding out for Hamas to accept a ceasefire and hostage release proposal, U.S. and Arab negotiators floated a potential short pause to hostilities in the Gaza Strip while the larger deal gets ironed out, according to The Wall Street Journal.

Israeli media were quick to pick up on the U.S. shift away from conditioning any ceasefire on the release of hostages abducted during the Hamas-led October 7 attack, reading in between the lines of official statements, as well as through sources.

U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken released a statement alongside the Qatari prime minister, saying a ceasefire would enable a hostage release rather than being a precondition. A political source told Israel Hayom that was indeed a shift in the American position.

Just last night, U.S. President Joe Biden said “The Israelis are cooperating, and it’s now up to Hamas to agree to a ceasefire.”

Now, according to the WSJ report citing negotiators in the international effort, the latest push would seek to avoid fighting during Islam’s holy month Ramadan, while some are concerned Hamas wants to inflame the region instead, particularly with Israel vowing to expand its ground maneuver to Gaza’s southernmost area of Rafah.

While the shift in favor of Hamas would reward its holdout, the Biden administration was reportedly under pressure to reach a pause in fighting and to avoid a humanitarian crisis in Gaza from getting worse….

  22. Seth Frantzman thinking out loud (on ThreadReader). No question, he’s on to something.

    March 5, 2024
I’m trying to understand something. Hamas’ demands and pre-conditions are to return to October 6 basically. So why did Hamas start this war in the first place, if its demands are to go back to October 6? The answer to that question is that Hamas was advised by its handlers/hosts/patrons and this war was designed to set in motion much larger processes.

The rapidity with which Russia, China, Ankara, Doha, Tehran and others moved to circle the wagons after October 7 illustrates that what was really going on was a much larger agenda. The Houthis were then operationalized to carry out attacks too.

Then this anti-Israel lobby also began to operationalize mass protests in the West and hijack them with Hamas slogans such as “flood” and to target Jews. The agenda here is large, well funded and complex.

For instance some people on social media began to take up this cause for followers and some of those who had been SIDELINED due to their support of the Assad regime and Putin… found themselves WELCOME guests again on shows and invited speakers because they had taken up the pro-Hamas line.

That’s why the real story here is not that Hamas just wants a ceasefire and for Israel to return to the October 6 lines…because if it wanted that it would never have done October 7.

The real goal of October 7 was to reset the entire Middle East and also have global implications… it was a watershed event. And Hamas goal, along with its backers/hosts/patrons, is to bring it into the West Bank and to replace the PA leadership in the future with Hamas.

Another part of this is the unprecedented massacre of Hamas and the ability/power their backers have to get some in the West to claim it is “resistance”…this narrative was pushed by some “human rights” groups even, asserting that any mass killing by Hamas is acceptable.

That’s why October 7 was so important because it was about changing the whole discussion about what is acceptable, it was a dry run for genocide basically, to wrap genocidal massacres in the “resistance” agenda… and see if people in the West would accept this.

Coordinated attempts to get activist groups in the West to rip down photos of hostages and get them to deny sex crimes under the guise of “if we mention Hamas crimes it will be weaponized”… is a whole new level of operationalizing activists in the West.

The idea was if activists can be made to support a “flood” and massacre of civilians… then they can be used as tools for other campaigns. October 7 was the first shot in a long war.

Hamas is a proxy…it was encouraged to do October 7 and bring suffering on Gaza…to serve the interests of others…and you can see others benefited from this. And today the hostage talks are not run just by Hamas… there is a lot at stake in this.

One person was moderately wounded in a stabbing at a bus stop in the northern Jerusalem neighborhood of Neve Ya’akov on Wednesday afternoon, medical authorities said.

The victim is a 64-year-old Israeli man, according to the Magen David Adom emergency response organization.

He was evacuated to Hadassah Medical Center in Jerusalem’s Mount Scopus with “penetrating injuries,” the organization added.

Police said the suspect, a 14-year-old from the eastern part of the city, fled the scene. Large forces were called to the area and a manhunt was launched for the terrorist, who was swiftly apprehended.
