Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

    The professor’s brow furrowed and he looked with concern that his lesson was lost to his class
    “The lie that works best is the one so absurd that dwarfs doubt by the size of its mass!”

    The size of the lie has neither bounds nor bearing on reality. This one is seminal in that it is one of the very best examples of Soviet-level propaganda perpetrated by the Biden administration. This site has been pounding the table for years trying to understand and convey the dialectic machinery as it applies to current events. So with apologies in advance to those so deficient they refuse to believe their own lying eyes, size in this case really does matter:

    2 hrs 40 minute documentary on the construction of the Soviet gulag system. This, too, was built on lies, suffering and death. There is not a boring minute in it. I’m afraid this may be because what we see happening in our world today is no longer completely alien to Soviet history, and in fact is increasingly analogous from multiple angles.

  5. Newcastle United has reportedly banned a fan from attending matches at its stadium over posts she made on social media criticising transgender ideology, including asserting the biological reality that “transgender women” are not, in fact, women.

    The Premier League has been accused of using “Stasi” tactics after an 11-page dossier of social media posts and other information on Newcastle United supporter Linzi Smith was reportedly used to ban her from attending matches until at least 2026 and was even handed over to the police in an apparent attempt to have her arrested over social media posts rejecting modern gender theories.

  6. (AFP) — Three people were injured Saturday in a knife attack at Paris’s Gare de Lyon railway station, a major travel hub, police said, adding that a suspect had been arrested.

    The detained man, a Malian national, went on a stabbing spree at around 8:00 am (0700 GMT) at the station, which operates domestic trains as well as those heading to Switzerland and Italy.

    One person suffered serious injuries to the abdomen while two others were lightly wounded, police said.

    Mike Gill, a prominent Republican figure and former Chief Operating Officer of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) during Donald Trump’s administration, has died.

    At the time of his death, Gill held the position of Senior Vice President for Capital Markets at the Housing Policy Council.

    Gill was shot while waiting in his car to pick up his wife from her office on K Street, a bustling area just blocks away from the White House, at approximately 5:45 pm.

    “We can confirm that Mike Gill was the victim of the shooting at the 900 block of K Street Northwest on Monday evening and is in critical condition,” Erica Richardson, a spokesperson for the Gill family, told The Daily Wire.

    Eyewitness Yolanda Douglas described the harrowing scene, where Gill’s wife discovered him injured after he had called her downstairs. “Oh my God, that’s my husband,” she exclaimed upon finding him.

    The assailant, after shooting Gill, continued the rampage, committing at least two more carjackings and one attempted carjacking, one of which resulted in another victim’s death.

    The carjacking trail led to Prince George’s County, Maryland, where law enforcement eventually confronted the suspect. The individual, engaged in a shootout with Maryland State Police, was later killed by the police.

    Police later identified the victim as 35-year-old Alberto Vasquez Jr.

    Gill, appointed in 2016 as the Republican member of D.C.’s Board of Elections, served until July 2020. His notable career includes roles as COO of the CFTC, Chief of Staff to CFTC Chairman Christopher Giancarlo, and a significant part in regulatory reform.

    In a heart-wrenching statement to FOX 5’s Shomari Stone, Gill’s wife, Kristina, expressed the profound loss experienced by their family:

    “It is with profound sadness that I wish to inform the community of the passing of my husband, Mike Gill. His sudden departure has left a void in our lives that can never be filled. In this time of grief, we are grateful for the outpouring of love and support from family, friends, and the community, and extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has reached out to offer condolences and assistance.

    Mike was not only a devoted husband and father but also a cherished son, brother, and friend. Over the course of his remarkable life, Mike brought people together and made them feel included, supported, and loved. His heart was evident in everything he did, as demonstrated by his mentorship and deep friendships with those who worked with him professionally.
