Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

    On the BRICS, be careful how you look at them. As some have come to believe, these countries have not positioned themselves solely as political or power opposition to the U.S.. Their initial and primary formation was to counter what they knew was the mathematically-inevitable decline of the world reserve currency, which is an event that has been telegraphed since its inception. To do so is only a matter of self-preservation, while to not prepare is to be utterly remiss in the financial realm. To wit, the accumulation of gold bullion by central banks around the world is a commentary only on the future of the dollar, nothing else, because there is no pronounced geopolitical dividend in doing so. The good sense in the decision to preserve wealth in gold–be it personal or sovereign–is currently supported by the fact that U.S. treasuries have become more volatile than gold. Think on this. That the world’s primary vessel of savings has shifted is about as dramatic as money matters can get. This drama is surpassed only by the deafening roar of silence by legacy media on this matter.

    Then, as surely as a yellow vest protest, the movement becomes hijacked by nefarious opportunism. BRICS expansion becomes a statement on who is or is not in political harmony with the West. I now say the West, and not only the U.S., because we are talking about the fiat currency system which is, without exception, a derivative of the USD.

    That the BRICS are expanding in country numbers is a direct result of–to borrow a George Soros term– reflexivity. Weaponizing the USD by stealing Russian money at the start of the Uke war I refuse to attribute to stupidity. No, Obama (yes O) knew what he was doing because he doubtlessly has Soros on speed dial. This act will be seen as one of the greatest accelerants to dollar demise. Another will be the intentional accumulation of astronomical debt during the plandemic. The rest is arithmetic. I believe it was around 2015 when Soros mumbled something about gold becoming the mother of all bubbles. He said it, then it went poof like a moth in a flame.

    To look at the BRICS only through the lense of who hates us and who we hate is myopic and simple. We don’t hate Brazil and they don’t hate us. At its most elemental level it is an elemental fact that Au is what it is: “…Because, as J.P. Morgan stated in his testimony before Congress in 1912, “Gold is money. Everything else is credit.”

    Funny how Morgan said this the year before the Federal Reserve came into being, and before gold’s trek to de-financialization:

    Well, we can argue all day about the effectiveness of the Federal Reserve. We can also argue all day about the effectiveness of Keynesian economics. I can point out the trivial fact that both have presided over the greatest country in the history of humanity. Full stop. I can also point out that both have probably surpassed their Best Before date.

    Personally, I find it excruciating to watch this slow motion dollar train wreck precisely because it may be fixable. In fact I know it is fixable because money is a confidence game. So here we watch on as the BRICS and their concomitant shithole TARD-ish partners set out on this massive project to establish a parallel sovereign settlement system to the USD. Again, because of that reflexivity trick they do so because they must. However the whole BRICS thing I truly think could be kneecapped if only confidence in the USD was restored before sliding further down its very slippery slope. The crooked bastards currently in charge can be hung by the neck until dead, for starters.

    Then, do Dystopia a favour and annex it. It has become a bad charade, anyway. Then, offset your debt with it. It is large enough with its natural resources including all the gold in its ground, to suffice. After the smoke clears from this minor map-altering skirmish you get a restabilized USD, not to mention the end of what has become a CCP regional office. Besides, people will eventually forget about it. They always do. Or tell a better plan, which you can’t. And despite all of this sounding crazy and desperate we need only to be reminded of the debt spiral we are in to see what is truly crazy and desperate. After this even your lesbian mother-in-law starts to sound like Abraham Lincoln.

    NBC News claims that the real-life relatives of King Kong, the cinema’s favorite skyscraper-scaling ape, met their ancient demise and went extinct due to climate change.

    This ridiculous claim unfolds with NBC’s assertion that Gigantopithecus, the colossal primate that roamed Earth almost 300,000 years ago, didn’t face extinction from a tragic, albeit fictional, fall from New York’s tallest building.

    Instead, the news outlet insists that these giant apes simply couldn’t hack the prehistoric climate crisis. The report suggests that the giant apes went extinct because they couldn’t reach their favorite fruit.

    “Wow, an entire species of giant ape went extinct because they couldn’t reach their favorite fruit. What a sad and pathetic way to go. I mean, who knew that a lack of fruit-picking skills could be so deadly?     Has lost twice in lower courts, now going to nation’s highest judiciary

    Twice, a lawmaker has been cleared by a court of “hate speech” for posting a Bible verse online.

    But the prosecutor, in Finland, is insisting on appealing his latest loss to the nation’s Supreme Court.

    A report from the ADF reveals, “The Finnish state prosecutor will appeal the second unanimous court decision that exonerated Finnish Member of Parliament Päivi Räsänen and Lutheran Bishop Juhana Pohjola of ‘hate speech’ allegations for sharing their faith-based beliefs.”

    The organization says the twice-failed prosecutor is demanding “tens of thousands of Euros in fines and insisting that Räsänen’s and Pohjola’s publications be censored.”

  23. Missing Sailors Confirmed to Be Navy SEALs Lost During Boarding Mission

    Two Navy SEALS remain missing two days after they went missing during a boarding operation off the coast of Somalia in the Gulf of Aden, according to new reports.

    The report from ABC, which was based on three U.S. officials it did not name, said a search and rescue mission was still under way as of Saturday.

    The SEALs were on what ABC called an “interdiction mission” on Thursday in the Gulf of Aden, between Somalia and Yemen, according to ABC.

    While climbing up the side of a vessel to board it, a SEAL was knocked into the sea by high waves.

    An official CNN did not name said the incident took place while there were eight-foot swells on the sea.

  24. Attorney says she has witnesses ready to take stand over DA, prosecutor’s alleged relationship

    Channel 2 Action News has obtained new information about the court motion in the Georgia election interference case alleging Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis and the special prosecutor overseeing the case have been engaged in an improper personal relationship.

    The defense attorney who made those explosive allegations told Channel 2 investigative reporter Mark Winne that she has eyewitnesses.

    The spokesman for the DA’s office said the prosecution has won every major motion and every appeal in the election interference case so far — then came this motion making incendiary allegations about one of the most prominent prosecutors in America.

    Now, people want to know from the lawyer making these allegations – what do you have to back it up?

    “I would never have filed something like this if I didn’t have multiple sources to corroborate,” Ashleigh Merchant said about the motion she filed on behalf of her client, Michael Roman, alleging an improper relationship between Willis and special prosecutor Nathan Wade, possibly tainting the case.

    Merchant told Winne that she has documentary evidence.

    Dallas-based hedge fund manager Kyle Bass blasted the US Department of Energy in a post on social media X for transferring nuclear battery technology to China.

    “What’s going on in the US Department of Energy? Why did we hand this technology over to the Chinese Government?” Bass wrote on X while commenting on Hu Xijin’s, the editor-in-chief of Chinese state media Global Times, post.

    Bass pointed out, “The Chinese company didn’t steal this technology. It was given to them — by the US Department of Energy. First in 2017, as part of a sublicense.”

    As NY’s Democrat governor, with a bigoted sneer, crows about “reducing gun violence,” by making it ever more difficult and onerous for law-abiding New Yorkers even to acquire, much less carry, guns of any kind, she simultaneously institutes her “Raise-the-Age Law”.
    This new law diverts gun-bearing, violent criminals who are under the age of twenty-one from regular Criminal Court to “Family Court,” putting them out of reach of local prosecutors.

    Thus, youths who are illegally carrying guns and even actively using them in the commission of violent felonies will never confront a tempestuous prosecutor in a court of law to answer for their crime(s).

    Instead, they now go to “Family Court,” where they get nothing more than a slap on the wrist and are subsequently sent home, and then (to the surprise of no one) promptly re-offend with guns! This will happen over and over, so long as they are under the age of twenty-one.
    Thus, in NY, youthful offenders can commit violent crimes using illegal guns with impunity!

    At Dawson Creek, British Columbia, on October 3, 2022, a group of four were hiking on a ski trail at Bear Mountain Ski Club. Their intent was to obtain pictures of the fall colors. The group consisted of three women: Analyn Bartolome, friends Leosette Canoy and Wennali Canoy, and Analyn’s teenage son, Kelly. It was getting late when the group started heading back. The sun was close to the horizon, and the shadows were long when the bear attack started.

    From various accounts, including a GoFundMe, Kelly heard footsteps behind them. He turned to look but saw nothing. He dropped back a little as they continued back toward the trailhead. He heard more footsteps, turned and saw a black bear. He alerted the group and turned back to see the bear charging at them. As the bear approached, he punched it. It knocked him aside, bruising his ribs. The bear was focused on his mother, Analyn, who was attempting to get away. As the bear attacked Analyn, her friend Leosette intervened. The bear attacked Leosette. While the bear was attacking Leosette, Kelly hit the bear with a large stick, momentarily stunning it. The bear continued to attack Leosette.

    Cell phone coverage was poor to non-existent where the attack occurred. Kelly and Wennali decided to run for help. They arrived at the cabin by the trailhead and called for help. The RCMP received a report of the attack at about 6:50 p.m. When the RCMP arrived, it was very dark. They started to search for the victims, using ATVs to search Wolverine Trail. Staff Sergeant Damon Werrell was one of the responding officers. On the trail, officers found a large pool of blood. When the officers studied the blood, they heard a low whisper: “Help bear.” The officers directed their flashlights at a horrific sight. From cjdctv.com:

    “I turned the Gator around so I was facing the bear in order to use the lights to illuminate the area a little bit. And I used the gator to try and push the bear away to scare it off. I tried two or three times and by this time, the victims now were screaming for help.”

    The bear had been sitting on the 2 women for over an hour. Werrell said it was playing with the two badly injured women like an animal that plays with its food. The bear was swatting and gnawing at them.

    One of the buttocks on one of the women was almost gone. The bear had eaten it and her forearm was badly bitten.

    The officers decided the bear had to be shot. After the bear was shot, the officers used one of the ATVs to transport the women to an ambulance. Both women have survived but faced long and expensive recoveries with multiple surgeries.
    If any of the women or Kelly had possessed a weapon, most of the injuries would likely have been prevented. Use of any firearm would probably have either killed the bear or caused the bear to retreat after a warning shot or wounding the beast.

    Little skill was necessary as the shots could have been delivered at arm’s length. Black bears seldom continue to attack after shots have been fired. Given Canada’s highly restrictive firearms laws, a spear or a large knife would probably have been sufficient to kill the bear or drive it away. Even small pocket knives have been successfully used to drive off black bears, or even grizzly bears.

    Bear spray is less effective on black bears than on grizzly bears, especially black bears involved in predatory attacks. From craigmedred.news 2017, writing of the Pogo Mine fatal attack:

    There has been some past research indicating that black bears can rather quickly recover from being sprayed.

    “I don’t know why,” Stephen Herrero, the dean of bear research said Thursday evening, “but it showed up in the data.”

    As in this case, Herrero said, the spray initially drove bears off, but they came back. This is, however, the first time a fatality has been associated with the failure of bear spray.

    There have been nine human fatalities where bear spray was used against bears, but only one human fatality where a handgun was fired in defense against a bear. The latest two fatalities involving bear spray were in Banff National park in Canada.
    Kelly had the courage and the will to defend his mother and her friends. He did not have the means.

    House Republicans announced on Sunday they will issue a second deposition to crackhead First Son Hunter Biden after he blew off the first deposition and instead delivered a speech inside the US Capitol the day of his first deposition.

    Hunter blew off his first deposition and then last week went and sat inside the US House of Representatives contempt hearing and mocked the committee’s weakness “in a choreographed stunt reportedly filmed for an upcoming documentary.”

    In a strongly worded letter, the committee wrote, “The Committees welcome Mr. Biden’s newfound willingness to testify in a deposition setting under subpoena. Although the Committee’s subpoenas are lawful and remain legally enforceable, as an accommodation to Mr. Biden and at your request, we are prepared to issue subpoenas compelling Mr. Biden’s appearance at a deposition on a new date in the coming weeks. To be clear, the issuance of these subpoenas does not in any way suggest or imply that the Committees believe the assertions in your January 12 letter to have any merit. Our willingness to issue these subpoenas is rooted entirely in our interest in obtaining Mr. Biden’s testimony as expeditiously as possible.”

    Texas power grid operator ERCOT (Electric Reliability Council of Texas) issued a warning amid a cold snap on Sunday.

    ERCOT manages electric power to more than 26 million Texas customers and represents 90% of the state’s electric load, according to the company.

  35. Voter Fraud Convictions Challenge Narrative of Secure Elections
    Criminal convictions of election fraud across America have called into question the narrative that cheating is rare and of little impact.

    Superior Court Judge William Clark nullified the results of a Democrat mayoral primary in November 2023 and ordered a new election. The ruling was based on hours of video evidence showing hundreds of illegally harvested absentee ballots being stuffed into drop boxes in Bridgeport, Connecticut.

    “The videos are shocking to the court and should be shocking to all the parties,” Judge Clark wrote in his ruling.

    A California judge overturned the result in a 2021 Compton City Council run-off race that was initially decided by one vote. The judge tossed four fraudulent ballots cast by people not legally registered in the jurisdiction. Five people pleaded either guilty or no contest to conspiring to commit election fraud.
    After discovering that 66 of the 84 absentee ballots cast in a 2021 Democrat primary for alderman in Aberdeen, Mississippi, were invalid and shouldn’t have been counted, a judge ordered a new runoff election. Police arrested a notary for notarizing ballots without watching voters sign them or checking their identification. The court also found evidence of intimidation at the polls involving candidate Nicholas Holliday, Mayor Maurice Howard, and Henry Randal, the town’s police chief.

    he “demon” Lousiana teen who brutally carjacked and dragged a 73-year-old grandmother, tearing her arm and clothes off when she became stuck in the seatbelt and later died, learned his fate Friday.

    John Honore, 18, was sentenced to life in prison for his role in Linda Frickey’s death in 2022 as the woman’s family celebrated that “justice was served” and hoped the teen wouldn’t make it out of prison.

    “There is no remorse, he got what he deserved. He did it,” Frickey’s sister Jinnylynn Griffin told reporters outside the courthouse. “We don’t care what happened before March 21, 2022, that’s the day we worry about.

    “He’s a little jerk, he’s a little punk, and he deserves to go where he is going. He is a demon, and God saw that demon that day, and that’s how Linda’s arm got severed.”

    When Justice John Paul Stephens issued his 1984 opinion in Chevron U.S.A. v. National Resources Defense Council, he started what legal scholar Gary Lawson later called “nothing less than a bloodless constitutional revolution.”

    At long last, on Wednesday, the Supreme Court will hear two cases that may signal the beginning of the end to that revolution.

    Article I of the Constitution explicitly directs that “All legislative Power herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States,” not regulatory agencies.

    Yet Justice Stephens’ opinion found that “agenc[ies] may . . . properly rely upon the incumbent administration’s views of wise policy” in “reasonably” defining statutory ambiguities.

    The legal doctrine that Chevron spawned became known as Chevron deference and former President Ronald Reagan’s White House counsel, Peter Wallison, pointed to it as “the single most important reason the administrative state has continued to grow out of control.”
