At about minute 20 he begins to talk about a “dominance hierarchy” and how it is maintained… And at 22 minutes he talks about “irrational stress” – where there is no reason for the stressful event, and the stress is random. He begins to talk about a paper that looks at how the ruling class stabilizes the dominance hierarchy …
My point is, he says something about a method of control. It’s called “Intermittent reinforcement” and when it is applied to individuals or to the masses it can induce Stockholm Syndrome. We can apply what we know about the psychological and physiological effects of interpersonal abuse to the dynamics of the relationship between the ruling class and the rest of us.

Intermittent reinforcement means people are conditioned to respond in a certain way when there is a series of random, unpredictable, unpleasant events. There is no reliable pattern of reward and punishment. The randomness of the series of terrifying or painful events is a powerful weapon against the regulation of human brain chemistry.
It seems that humans are wired for this.
Raising consciousness of the mechanics of trauma abuse is part of the solution.

“The Role of Intermittent Reinforcement in Trauma Bonding.
Intermittent reinforcement (in the context of psychological abuse) is a pattern of cruel, callous treatment mixed in with random bursts of affection. The abuser hands out rewards such as affection, a compliment, or gifts sporadically and unpredictably throughout the abuse cycle. Think of the violent husband who gives his wife flowers after assaulting her, or the kind words an abusive mother gives to her child after a particularly harsh silent treatment.
Intermittent reinforcement causes the victim to perpetually seek the abuser’s approval while settling for the crumbs of their occasional positive behavior, in the hopes that the abuser will return to the honeymoon phase of the relationship. Like a gambler at a slot machine, victims are unwittingly “hooked” to play the game for a potential win, despite the massive losses.
This manipulation tactic also causes us to perceive their rare positive behaviors in an amplified manner. Dr. Carver describes this as the small kindness perception. As he notes in his article, Love and Stockholm Syndrome:
“In threatening and survival situations, we look for evidence of hope a small sign that the situation may improve. When an abuser/controller shows the victim some small kindness, even though it is to the abusers benefit as well, the victim interprets that small kindness as a positive trait of the captorIn relationships with abusers, a birthday card, a gift (usually provided after a period of abuse), or a special treat are interpreted as not only positive, but evidence that the abuser is not all bad and may at some time correct his/her behavior. Abusers and controllers are often given positive credit for not abusing their partner, when the partner would have normally been subjected to verbal or physical abuse in a certain situation.
The Biochemical Element
As I discuss more in-depth in my books on narcissistic abuse, there is also a biochemical addiction involved when it comes to intermittent reinforcement and trauma bonding. As Helen Fisher (2016) explores, love activates the same areas of the brain responsible for cocaine addiction. In adversity-ridden relationships, the effects of biochemical addiction can be even more powerful. When oxytocin, serotonin, dopamine, cortisol, and adrenaline are involved, the abusive nature of the relationship can actually strengthen, rather than dampen, the bond of the relationship in the brain.
For example, dopamine is a neurotransmitter which plays a key role in the pleasure center of our brains. It creates reward circuits and generates associations in our brain which link our romantic partners with pleasure and even survival. The catch? Dopamine flows more readily in the brain when there is an intermittent reinforcement schedule of affection and attention, rather than a consistent one (Carnell, 2012). The hot and cold behaviors of a toxic relationship actually exacerbate our dangerous attachment to our abusers rather than deterring it – creating an addiction that is not unlike drug addiction.
This is just one of the ways the brain is affected by abuse, so imagine how difficult it can be for a traumatized individual to break the bond.”
When reading under the subheading “Signs of a Trauma Bond”, just replace “abuser” with “the government.”

If you are experiencing a trauma bond with an emotional or physical abuser, the first step is awareness. Know that it is the addictive nature of the trauma bond and the effects of intermittent reinforcement which contribute to the source of your bond, not the merits of the abuser or the relationship itself.This will help you to distance yourself from seeing your relationship as a “special” one just in need of more of your time, energy, or patience. Malignant narcissistic abusers follow hardwired behaviors and will not change for you or anyone else.
Get distance from your abuser, even if you feel you cannot leave yet. Work with a trauma-informed counselor to process the trauma, examine the cycle of abuse, reconnect with the reality of the abusive relationship, and place responsibility where it truly belongs.The abuse you endured was not your fault and neither was the trauma bond that formed. You deserve a life free of abuse and mistreatment. You deserve healthy relationships and friendships which nourish you, not deplete and exploit you. You deserve to break the bonds which tether you to your abuser.”
Basically, addiction turns us into slaves, and we can become addicted to just about anything. But, knowledge is power.

According to my friends, Orthodox Christianity in Belarus survived communism (discreetly), never lost its deep roots. Belarusians are “softer, more gentle people”. Sources within the House of Representatives have disclosed that congressional leaders possess adequate evidence to draft an article of impeachment against Joe Biden.
The charge at the forefront is one of criminal obstruction and contempt, centering on allegations that Joe Biden coordinated with his son, Hunter Biden, in a willful defiance of a House impeachment inquiry subpoena.
According to investigative reporter Paul Sperry, sources close to the matter revealed that the draft could be initiated as early as today. The move comes after intense scrutiny of the President’s interactions with his son, which some House members argue have crossed legal boundaries.
The allegations suggest that President Biden may have played an active role in advising Hunter Biden on how to respond to the impeachment inquiry, potentially obstructing the investigative process.
“House staffers tell me leadership CURRENTLY has sufficient evidence to draft an article of impeachment TODAY versus President Biden based on criminal obstruction/contempt for COORDINATING w his son Hunter in his ongoing defiance of a House impeachment inquiry subpoena,” Sperry wrote on his X account.
The Gateway Pundit previously reported that House Republicans launched an investigation into whether Joe Biden sought to obstruct or influence his son Hunter’s cooperation with the GOP’s impeachment inquiry.
Comer and Jim Jordan wanted to know if and how Joe Biden was involved in Hunter’s decision to defy a congressional subpoena.
“Hunter Biden today defied lawful subpoenas and we will now initiate contempt of Congress proceedings. We will not provide special treatment because his last name is Biden. As our committees were today prepared to depose Hunter Biden, he chose to make a public statement on Capitol Hill instead where he said his father, Joe Biden was not financially involved in his family’s business dealings. Exactly how was Joe Biden involved? Evidence shows Joe Biden met with Hunter Biden’s business associates and his name was at the center of the family business strategy,” a joint statement by House Oversight Chairman and House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan said last year.
In December, all 221 House Republicans voted to open a formal impeachment inquiry into Joe Biden.
The vote was along party lines: 221-212.
If the article is introduced, it would mark only the fifth time in American history that a president has faced impeachment proceedings.
According to History, “Only three U.S. presidents have been formally impeached by Congress—Andrew Johnson, Bill Clinton and Donald Trump. One of those presidents, Donald Trump, was impeached twice during his single term. No U.S. president has ever been removed from office through impeachment.”
“In addition to Johnson, Clinton and Trump, only one other U.S. president has faced formal impeachment inquiries in the House of Representatives: Richard Nixon,” the outlet added.

It doesn’t take to much arrogance or boldness to show up at your own Contempt of Congress hearing when you know the media will protect you, Not to mention Republicans are well known for their weakness. But that is exactly what Hunter Biden did. He showed up, Republicans blasted him, and then he walked out.
The reality is Hunter Biden is out playing Republicans. He is winning the PR game and making Republicans look foolish. A federal appeals court this week blocked Joe Biden’s attempt to regulate dishwashers and washing machines.
The Biden Regime is cracking down on gas stoves, water heaters and other popular appliances all in the name of ‘battling climate change.’
At first, the Biden Regime pushed back on reports they were targeting gas stoves, dishwashers, and heaters.

The House Judiciary Committee on Wednesday approved a resolution to hold Hunter Biden in contempt of Congress.
The Committee voted along party line 23-14 to approve the resolution after Hunter Biden defied a subpoena and refused to testify in a closed-door deposition.
The full House of Representatives will then vote on the resolution to hold Hunter in contempt.
Congressional Republicans previously subpoenaed Hunter Biden for a closed-door deposition related to his influence-peddling and family corruption.
Hunter Biden last month said he would only testify “at a public hearing.”

Instead, they want these rounds to be reserved only for the military. They must have forgotten the Founding Fathers’ intent with the Second Amendment.
New York Attorney General Letitia James, who is currently suing the NRA, ran for office on taking on the NRA and slammed the group as a “terrorist organization,” is leading this effort. Back in March 2022, a Manhattan judge blocked Letitia James’ failed attempt to shut down the National Rifle Association (NRA).
The letter states, “We ask your Office to investigate the contracting and manufacturing practices that led to so many billions of military-grade rounds being sold into our communities, and to issue a public report with recommendations about how to end the diversion of military ammunition into civilian hands. ATLANTA—Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis has been subpoenaed to testify in a colleague’s divorce proceeding, according to a court filing, a development that could shed light on claims Willis and the colleague carried out an improper romantic relationship as they prosecuted former President Donald Trump and others.
In a court filing reviewed by The Wall Street Journal, a process server said he showed up at Willis’s office in Atlanta on Monday morning with a subpoena seeking her testimony in the Cobb County divorce case of Nathan Wade, a lawyer she hired as a special prosecutor in the Trump case, and his wife, Joycelyn Wade. The process server said he left the subpoena, filed by Joycelyn Wade’s lawyer, with Willis’s executive assistant.
A Willis spokesman declined to comment Tuesday about the subpoena, but he said previously that the prosecution would be responding in a court filing to the allegations of an improper relationship with Wade. Willis’s office hadn’t filed a response as of Tuesday afternoon.
Nathan Wade didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment left on the voicemail at his law office. A lawyer for Joycelyn Wade didn’t immediately provide a comment.

Judge rules use of vans in absentee voting violates election law

(The Center Square) – A state judge has sided with a registered Wisconsin voter, saying use of vans for in-person absentee voting in 2022 was not fair and violated election law.
Judge Eugene Gasiorkiewicz on Monday ruled for plaintiff in Kenneth Brown v. Wisconsin Elections Commission and Tara McMenamin. The decision from the bench said even though state law doesn’t explicitly outlaw using a mobile voting van as did Racine in 2022, it doesn’t mean it is permitted.
McMenamin is Racine’s city clerk and used the mobile van in different neighborhoods across the city. The lawsuit said that favored Democrats and Gasiorkiewicz agreed.
The judge wrote, “No defendant or intervener can point to any statute authorizing the use of mobile van absentee ballot sites; instead, the defendants argue no statute expressly prohibits them. The absence of an expressed prohibition however, does not mean mobile absentee ballot sites comport to procedures specified in the election laws. Nothing in the statutory language detailing the procedures by which absentee ballots may be cast mentions mobile van absentee ballot sites or anything like them. Such an interpretation was and is contrary to law.”
Additionally, he wrote, “The statute in question clearly and unequivocally indicates that chosen alternate absentee balance balloting sites cannot afford an advantage to any political party. it is the requirement either of the common Council in choosing alternate sites or the municipal clerk to see that sites chosen comply with this mandatory language. In the present case, the plaintiff provided a statistical study, which utilized the known historical data available at the time of the primary election that concluded the sites chosen clearly afforded an advantage to members of the Democratic Party.”
Actions of the Wisconsin Elections Commission, and its administrator Meagan Wofle, were also noted.

A long-time open borders advocate and immigration attorney in Tucson, Arizona, who previously faced a two-year suspension from practicing law, has come under fire again for aiding the invasion at our southern border and backing the “Justice for All” ballot initiative.
The initiative, if passed, will create an Office of Immigration Representation and provide public defenders to “indigent” illegals, who likely do not plan to work or pay taxes, at the expense of the taxpayers.
Previously, the attorney, Margo Cowan, faced 24 separate counts of “violating various sections of the federal regulations governing the practice before the Immigration Courts and the Board,” according to court records. The 24 counts include apparent incompetence or attempts to sidestep the immigration process while representing illegals in an illegal manner.
One group backed by Cowan reportedly criticized overwhelmed and low-morale border patrol agents for not processing hordes of illegal immigrants fast enough to get them out of the cold weather near Sasabe, Arizona, claiming 300 would have died on the agents’ watch. Border patrol doesn’t even have the resources necessary from the federal government to transport these people and help them enter our country illegally. Still, there is no blame for the Biden Regime who invited them on the dangerous journey with his open border invitation.

Radical left “Judge” Arthur Engoron arbitrarily decided Wednesday to deny President Trump the opportunity to give a closing argument during his civil fraud trial in New York City.
This is the latest example of how he has rigged this entire trial against the 45th President. He even refused a minutia of compassion following the death of Trump’s mother-in-law, who died Tuesday.
As Cristina Laila has reported, tyrannical New York Attorney General Letitia “Peekaboo” James is seeking $250 million in “damages” when there is no victim in this fraud case. She also wants to ban Trump and his sons from operating any businesses in New York.
NBC News noted Trump had previously planned to deliver part of the closing statement himself in the trial, which is his constitutional right. But Engoron responded by listing a series of vague restrictions that made it impossible for Trump’s lawyers to agree to.
CBS News reported Engoron stated that Trump would have had to limit his statement in court to “what is permissible in a counsel’s closing argument, that is, commentary on the relevant, material facts that are in evidence, and application of the relevant law to those facts.” Of course, Engoron has taken every possible action to prevent the truth from emerging.
Laila previously revealed Engoron gagged President Trump’s lawyers, fined Trump twice for violating bogus “gag” orders, and denied his bid for a mistrial in New York. Engoron even yelled at Trump’s attorneys while they defended him and threatened to jail Trump for leaving up post on his Truth Social page.
Engoron’s despicable bias has been so evident that moderate Congresswoman Elise Stefanik (R-NY) filed a judicial ethics complaint against him. A New York Appellate Judge also paused his order to dissolve the Trump organization back in October.

Sean Edward Leonard Gravells, 39, the ex-president of the North Peace Pride Society, is now facing multiple sex crime charges, including child pornography offenses.
The B.C. Prosecution Service spokesperson Dan McLaughlin confirmed the charges to Black Press Media on Tuesday.
Gravells is accused of “touching a person under 16 for sexual purposes, sexual interference of a person under 16, possession of child pornography, and importing or distributing child pornography,” according to CBC.
These incidents reportedly occurred in the vicinity of Fort St. John, a community located in northeastern British Columbia.

BRUNSWICK, Maine (TND) — Maine has begun paying rent for homeless immigrants living in apartments located in the town of Brunswick.
The state budgeted nearly $3.5 million to provide 60 migrant families in Brunswick with two years of rent. Maine expects the immigrants to “gain the means” to pay housing costs through state “support” and “guidance.”
The state is also supplying $100,000 to dozens of Brunswick migrants for a year’s worth of asylum application and work authorization assistance. The legal support seeks to ensure immigrants receive work approval “as soon as possible” so they can “provide for themselves,” reduce pressure on public programs and help local economies by joining the workforce.
“Through this program, family members work together to support each other’s goals and achieve long-term stability with the help of a bridging case manager/coach,” a Joint Select Committee on Housing report states.
The Brunswick apartments’ planner, Developer’s Collaborative, estimates it has constructed 24 one and two-bedroom residences so far. Brunswick Human Services Director Deb Crocker believes the move has been somewhat challenging for the migrants.
“It’s an adjustment for them,” Crocker told WGME.
Crocker says many of the migrants have lived in shelters and hotels for at least the past year.
The Brunswick monies are part of a $55 million Emergency Housing Relief Fund, which issues immigrants permanent, transitional and emergency housing.

Over the last several years, the U.S. Military has struggled to meet recruitment goals across all branches, perhaps most of all with the Army.
One of the reasons for this has now been explained. White men are no longer enlisting in the numbers they did in the past.
Families which used to encourage young men to enlist are doing so in far fewer numbers for reasons which are obvious to many. New woke policies, the vaccine mandates and the embrace of DEI have all contributed to this.

House Republicans kicked off their push to impeach Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas on Wednesday with a new proposed standard for recommending the ouster of a Cabinet official: “gross incompetence.”
Republicans on the House Homeland Security Committee claim that surging migration on the U.S.-Mexico border shows Mayorkas is in “dereliction of duty,” pointing to record-high crossings in recent months. Democrats have dismissed their effort as a political attack that misuses a congressional tool designed to punish egregious behavior such as criminal activity — but the GOP made clear it sees Mayorkas’ management as meeting the standard.

A Supreme Court Win Is in the Cards for Jan. 6 Defendants, Lawyers Predict
Hundreds of cases, including Trump’s, will be affected if the top court strikes down the government’s use of an ‘obstructing an official proceeding’ charge.
The Supreme Court will strike down the use of a key federal law in the Biden administration’s ongoing prosecutions of Jan. 6 defendants and in the process shut down the government’s case against hundreds of defendants, legal experts predict.
If the top court finds an Enron-era obstruction law—18 U.S. Code Section 1512(c)—is being used improperly against the defendants, their charges are likely to be thrown out.
At issue is the evidence-tampering provision that appears in the Corporate and Criminal Fraud Accountability Act of 2002, which was part of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act aimed at curbing wrongdoing on Wall Street.
President Trump was indicted under the same federal statute and also stands to benefit if the Supreme Court rules in favor of the defendant, sources told The Epoch Times.
Former police officer Joseph W. Fischer of Jonestown, Pennsylvania, is the main defendant in the case that revolves around protesting the impending congressional certification of the 2020 presidential election results at the U.S. Capitol.

17 states call on the Supreme Court to overturn ruling in favor of parental rights
A coalition of 17 state attorneys general are asking the Supreme Court to recognize parental rights in a case involving a Maryland school district’s transgender policies.
West Virginia is leading the coalition challenging a case involving parents fighting an appeals court ruling that found they did not have the right to sue Montgomery County Public Schools over a policy that allows teachers and administrators to transition children without their parents’ knowledge or consent.
Plaintiffs in the case dubbed the guideline in question the “Parental Preclusion Policy,” which their lawyers with the National Legal Foundation argued was a violation of their rights under the Fourteenth Amendment.

Virginia Gun Owners Shut Down County Gun Ban

If there’s one State that seems to lead the fight against unconstitutional gun laws, it’s Virginia. Recently, in Henrico County, the Board of Supervisors was scheduled to consider banning firearms, ammunition, and other firearm-related components from any buildings owned or used by Henrico County. The new ordinance would also extend to buildings owned or used by entities created or controlled by the county, including community and recreation centers.
The new policy was created with the intention of excluding all citizens, including those with concealed carry permits. The ordinance would exempt private security personnel if the county specifically hires them if approved. It would also exclude military personnel only when acting in the capacity of their military duties.
Fortunately, but not surprisingly, the Virginia Citizens Defense League (VCDL) recognized this as a clear violation of the 2nd Amendment and a dangerous policy that would make people unarmed and helpless in several locations of Henrico County.
Known for their unwavering persistence in protecting the rights of Virginians, VCDL stepped up and rallied the troops.
VCDL put out the call, requesting a strong turnout to stop the ordinance from passing and going into effect. They also expressed the need to flood the Board of Supervisors, emails and telephones with comments opposing the new gun ban. Did they get the response they wanted? Boy did they ever. The response far exceeded expectations and the county backed down. The ordinance was immediately pulled from the agenda, reminding everyone how powerful grassroots movements can be.
VCDL President Philip Van Cleave said, “The Board announced that due to the large volume of calls and emails, the County Manager needed time to study all those comments. Could this come up again in the future? Possibly, we just don’t know. But we will be watching.”
It would seem real Americans have had just about enough of the gun-grabbing propaganda machine constantly grinding its way through our traditional American values. The Bill of Rights, specifically the 2nd Amendment, was written because our Founding Fathers saw the tyrants coming over 200 years away. The good folks in Virginia are not afraid to confront them. When necessary, they stand up and set an example.
